I really appreciete you guys taking the time to do these, so far im very immpressed with my K4 5000. The features are incredible. I wish the Marine corps issued these, my L4 and L5 vertebrae would be in far better shape.

Got my K4 today and the quality is great! But what do I adjust when the molle-panel is on top of the shoulders AND I have a huge gap between the shoulder and shoulder strap?

Be sure to get some weight in the pack before you assess the fitting and adjustment. Also, check out the specific tips highlighted in this video: ruclips.net/video/CJ4RAbKkuzw/видео.html. If you still need help, please email us: support@exomtngear.com

On 23.5 frame is it okay to be using the bottom slot on torso adjustment? Or do i need a smaller frame?

Do not wear a belt (on your pants)... when fitting the pack? Or when actually using the pack?

    • @ExoMtnGear

      Both, if possible.

I don’t have many pants I can wear without a belt. Is this a major issue ?

@@CarolinaNocked If you have to wear a belt just be aware of the potential rubbing issue and wear the thinnest / lightest belt you can find. I've had really good luck using parachute cord as a makeshift belt.

@@CarolinaNocked snowboarding belts are great. They are usually extremely thin and have a small buckle in the front that will be out of the way. Great for hunting because they usually have a lil stretch in them too.

I have the K 5000 with a 25” frame. Initially, as delivered, I found the pack comfortable with 30 pounds on a 6 mile hike. However, based on this video, my fit is incorrect. I have a gap at the shoulder and my load adjustment strap is not at a 45 degree angle. Because I had the gap at the shoulder, I tried lowering the adjustment in 2 different places. First, for me, the adjustment was difficult to do as compared to what was shown. The slots were stiff and the adjustment buckle was difficult to feed through the slot. Next, the adjustments made the harness position worse. The molle system was going around my shoulder. I reposition the harness to the original position. As explained in the video, with this 25” harness, there is no way I can get the molle aligned with my collar bone as shown. My torso length is 20 inches based on measurements of backpacking packs. I am 5’ 10” tall with a 32 inch inseam. My belt measures a medium. Exo said I need a 25” frame. I sent a picture to Exo showing my concern. I am waiting a reply.
