- Coach Zahabi shares his thoughts on McGregor vs Khabib post fight drama. New MMA culture, Connor throwing first punch, Dillon Danis and Khabib brawl, Connor throwing Dolly incident ,
Coach John Kavanagh, Connor throwing bottle at Diaz during UFC conference, Connor bringing up family names, religion etc. Спорт
I think Khabib did a really good job of not letting Connor know that he was getting in his head...And then all his frustration came out.
What Khabib did was wrong but I think we would all be lying if we we're not all capable doing what Khabib did.
@@brando3342 ???
Mitch Hop two scenes are on repeat in my mind. The first press conference in response to Conor’s insanely personal insults Khabib was like “I stay relax, brother. I don’t feel nothing” Then I fast forward to the eagle swooping down off the cage. I still don’t know what to make of all of it. I think Khabib actually didn’t realize how angry he was until after grinding Conor into the canvas. How could it possibly be enough to just dominate him in the octagon?
@@MrTigerstyle80 I mean Khabib admitted that he was angry but that he wanted to stay "relax". He said in an interview that it was definitely personal for him.
@@brando3342 Islam teaches forgivness, paitence and mercy is best. Your an expert at lying and being stupid. Not an expert in religion.
@@brando3342 you are a liar and a hypocrite, deep down you know this.
What you are saying is perfectly appropriate
I agree on all counts except your last few words. The ONLY point you become a coward is when you cant run away but wont defend a life. I dont think Khabib did this to show he isn't a coward, i think Khabib did this because his culture and/or religion doesn't tolerate this. Conner is an idiot, so is Khabib. I'll 1v2 them.
Your a fair person akhi
pray salah because it is fardh ! Firas for prime minister 2020
Wtf does that mean? "You're my eye"?
Akhi means brother in Arabic
Best post-fight brawl analysis I heard. Chael Sonnen, Ariel Helwani and Luke Thomas should listen to this.
The fan who got knocked out also spat on the other guy and that’s why he punched him
Spitting is an assault. So dude got what he deserved.
@@mainewonder9436 he was an idiot
Spitting is assault and most disrespectful thing you could do to someone
maine wonder yes, leading up to that everyone was in the wrong but that punch was totally justified
Love the thumbnail and no Khabib wasn’t wrong while Dillon Danis was screaming at him while he was mauling Conor McGregor. I will not change my statement.
I absolutely love firas zahabi, thank you so much for this video you are amongst some of the most greatest people in MMA thank god for people like you on this planet and may god bless you. You have basically said everything how it should be. Thanks again. Some of these people really need to learn from this video.
This discussion is a breath of fresh air in what is otherwise a general sewer of commentary and pre-fight trash talk. Thank you for this.
I don't understand how fighting back if a guy provokes you is illegal.
hussainzakir1 WELLLLL UNDERSTAND IT BECAUSE IN AMERICA THATS HOW IT GOES FREEDOM OF SPEECH BUDDY
Oobydooby Tooby well people get killed in america or in any other countries for talking shit
Yeah mate try in front of your coppers and see how well it goes. That freedom shit ain't lasting long. But here in the UK, were all your best shit came from, provocation is not a defense against assault, however it is legitimate for murder.
There is a such thing as freedom of speech
hussainzakir1 you’ve switched from wondering why using violence in reaction to verbal provocation is illegal to telling me violence in reaction to verbal provocation is a thing that happens, there’s that 3rd world IQ coming out for all to see...
They should fight with their fists. People like George and Anderson are what I watch MMA for. Martial artists, not mouth pieces.
Is normal... Come on guys IS NORMAL
I don't think it's sanctimonious, I'm not crying. It's just what I enjoy. You like the trash talk and all that ... Good for you, enjoy it. Not everyone thinks the same.
Raymus Munt so why are you here talking about the trash talk and not a word about martial arts or sports philosophy or movement or competition? You may not realize it but the trash talk has affected you more than those who enjoy it. Of all you could have commented about you spoke about that. Take your own advice: ignore it if you don't like it. Don't watch the pressers nor the weigh-ins nor pre-fight shows. It's simple. Only you must have been watching all that shit... yet you knew you wouldn't get any sport there.
@ttlkhaoz yeah cause last time I watched Usian Bolt he stated in the press confrence....
'You Can't Fookin Catch Me You Backwards Cunts'? If your the real deal your art speaks for itself... When you lack skills you could just talk shit for a Title like Connie/Colby ... But they will be long forgotten from the real fans... Actors are entertainers... Fighters are fighters that why they jump cages and take shit personal? Because they train to fight, not train to minipulate and act... Dammam so ALOT of casuals are into MMA for this WWE style bullshit... Hopefully when Connie leaves you'll leave with her

You sound like an old man who hates change and likes skin tight pants and bulging thighs. Stop fucking whining and turn off if you don't like it. No-one asks you to watch it. You watch it for the characters. You are a bigger victim than anyone. X
Good morning coach. Would you like a coffee from Tim Hortons? Have a good day and thanks for your videos. So instructive!
What triggers me is mcgregor saying "its only business" in between rounds
Very well said, I really enjoy your videos and insight.
Thank you for uploading this coach! Was really awaiting your take on this!
Hey quick question, do you repeat things slowly as a habit from teaching martial arts and repeating things so fighters can understand or is it just a habit?
You‘re the only one that said the truth about khabib‘s corner man. It was clear as day that he didn’t intend to hurt conor
Yeah he intended to hurt Conor's corner.
pancreas you don’t know that
Mr Khan Conor didn’t know that either. But he didn’t take the chance. Fair shit if you ask me. He shouldn’t have even been in the octagon at that time.
Objection...hearsay
you all make me laugh why the fuck was he on top of the cage. ill tel for why he was looking for a good vantage point in case anything happened too khabib so fuck you all blind muppets. Fair fucks too connor throwing the first punch. You all dont get it, the man got the biggest beat down of his career and you think he had a clear head on him think before you start spouting verbel diarrhea .
Wow, GREAT podcast, Coach Zahabi! Very eloquent and spot on---everyone should listen to the lessonsyou put forth here!

Proper 12 is available on tap though.
It reminded me of the world cup in 2002 when Zidane headbutted one of the Italian players in the finals. After the match he simply told the press that the insults to his family and sisters was too much.
Thank you for discussing this coach. I hope that many heed your words.
Need some help! Can we build muscle using the flow state training that firas mentions? If so how? Love your work firas!

UFC should be ashamed of themselves by granting Colby-Connor a chance and even a spotlight to enhance their career with the way they act and talk nowadays. Trash talk is inevitable, but people like Bisping or Dominick Cruz won't steep so low to promote their fights. Hell, even the Gangster Chael sonnen himself isn't like that if i remember correctly.
Adi Sucipto He did go after Tito’s wide though.
Hi said some pretty awful things about Brazil. I forget the exact quote but he told a story where the Norguera brothers tried to feed a bus a carrot because they thought it worked like a donkey.
You don’t remember correctly.
Al Ghnam I’m intimately familiar with her work haha. I still think talking abt a spouse is crossing a line. You’ll have people who’ll do it I guess. Like Colby talking abt Perry’s gf. I’m just not a fan of it. And I always pull for those type of shit talkers to get their asses beat.
When has Cody ever talked about people's family?
Always Fair, Coach 👌🏽 and I sooo agree with you regarding Coach Kavanaugh.
I could have listened to this for hours
This is a good shout coach - putting discrete segments of your AMAs up. You’ve dropped gems on things like time management (7 Habits, the one thing, time warrior etc) and you’d get tonnes of repeat views if you put up segments. Joe Rogan and Jocko Willink both do this.
coach zahabi you speak truth
Good analyse Coach ! Respect from #Tunisia
Fantastic recap. You stand on the moral ground.
when is your book coming out?
I have no problem with what youre saying Frazis. I keep seeing that Conor talked about religion. Were the quotes where he talked about Khabib's religion. I don't remember him directly talking about islam or muslims.
He didn't. He made jabs at muslims, like calling them "backwards" for not drinking, but honestly it wasn't a big deal. I'm muslim and I thought some of it was screwed up in a funny way but not really offensive. tbh.
I thought the backwards thing was about Khabib as an individual paying homeless people to do press ups? ruclips.net/video/bagT-qJaXNQ/видео.html
He didn't, the closest thing was the offering his whisky thing...it was just banter , Conor didn't insult Islam directly at all...however taking shots at the dad was a no no
Firaz as always hammers the nail in the head.

Honestly though, true respect for being the one that finally makes these points, sometimes you really need someone to set the records straight. It's a dream of mine to get even one training sesh with such intelligent coach.
This sounds like a different tune than your first reply to the post-fight scrap........

Connor is a disgrace to the sport and a disgrace to himself.. I'm glad he got his ass handed to him. .top video mate!.. excellent role model for any kids watching this.
I thought this incident was funny as hell.
@@MoodiFLEX indeed
On point mate !
The only coward in this whole mayhem was that red T-shirt guy who sucker punched Conor from behind...bitch move.
Very well said. And it doesn't just affect professional fighting. This poor attitude inevitably ends up trickling down into amateur fighting, and even teenagers just getting into martial arts are being negatively influenced. Now you get kids who aren't even from a rough background acting tough and cocky at the gym because they want to be like McGregor. These past four or five years have had such a pernicious effect on the martial arts community, and frankly who knows how far it would have continued to go had it not all spilled way over the top at UFC 229. Of course it was bad that it happened, but sometimes bad things act as a wake up call for everyone to see what is going wrong. I mean it seems like yesterday that Chael Sonnen's trash talk was considered pretty edgy. Kids are extremely easily influenced. Even at the gym you see younger white belts emulating a higher belt who acts in ways that are a bit sloppy or disrespectful. We all need to take serious responsibility for how we behave and present ourselves.
It's new era like you say : more money, so more cameras, more trash talking (to make the buzz ... and the bizz) : people now are more exited.
Money get people crazy.
Finally!!! 👍
Dana just said at his latest interview that the incident at ufc229 is good for business so money is more important than anything else. Do you think that they are going to stop?
If I was khabib I wouldn't have been able to hold it together as well as he did...even after the fight that was nothing really, no damage done... But the UFC should stop this before it starts...as in the first press conference.
Always talking Logic coach. Respect
Excellent breakdown
Perfect analysis of what happened. Khabib was wrong to do what he did but it was understandable. At least he redeemed himself by apologizing...I still don't see Conor apologizing for anything. NO REMATCH....Conor doesn't belong in the same ring with Khabib...like watching a white belt vs a black belt.
great point! Conor has yet to apologies for anything he has done.
I respect your views and opinions Firas. I just think that things might’ve happened in the heat of the moment and we don’t always exercise best judgments during those times. I think Khabib had adrenaline running and just lost control
Tony "where yo kids at?!!" Ferguson
Very well said
Agree, talking about Kids to get in to the head fuck that... And you saw what happens when you cross the line
You are a true man and true martial artist
I like the video very much thank you
McGregor threw the first punch after Khabib jumped out of the cage to attack his team and the entire scene was out of control already. Remember Zubaira closed in on him at the same time and security was swarming outside to break up the fight there. I agrees with your argument of the domino effect, but the question is what constitutes the first domino. There are two main suspects in this question as I see it: the first is McGregors smack talk, the second is Khabib attacking McGregors team post fight. The qualitative difference I see is that only the latter was a physical attack.
You forgot Connor's dolly/bus stunt, where people actually got hurt.
RESPECT COACH I AGREE 100% WITH YOU
even on the streets and in war there's a code - the universal language of Respect - the foundation of civilization is Respect - some people get it - those who don't have been causing conflict on earth for centuries.
Great video. I agree completely that this level of disrespect in the trash-talking must stop. I didn't even know before I watched this video that McGregor's team was bringing children into it. That's fucking disgusting. How can it be stopped though? Whatever works will be what is done in all things and at all times, whatever one can get away with. You'd need the promotion to impose some sort of limits I would assume, not knowing anything about how the fight game operates behind the scenes. And what specifically is off-limits? Obviously family and religion but where does it stop? How do you impose rules on what the Brits would consider idle banter (apart from talking about your opponents' kids, which no fucker should be OK with)?
Perfectly said
I think youre wrong about John Kavanagh. I used to like team mcregor but i think John should give Conor an ultimatum. You show some levels of respect or you have to leave SBG.
I also think that you shouldn't be suprised that cage fighting has gone this way. It's extremely brutal. We can't really dress it up as anything else. We can't be suprised that it's gone this way. It's the logical end result of fighting for money.
69birdboy agree. John Kavanaugh is a mentor, senei.
Was the line when they slapped artem
Hey Zahabi... You're right McGregor threw the first punch but you're wrong to focus on that as the defining wrong move. Conor had no time to make a considered decision as to whether Khabib's cornerman had jumped up to help Khabib or jumped up to attack him. He had a split second to decide if he was, or was not, in danger and he struck out. We see it all the time with policemen and soldiers with guns. They shoot and kill a man who it turns out, later with video footage, was not armed and was not threatening to shoot them first. You have a split second to decide. Now, the police and army are terribly guilty as they are trained for years in these exact moments and their wrong reaction will leave a man dead. But neither Conor, nor you nor I are trained or used to such moments and so we have a split second to decide what danger exists and whether to strike first or risk being struck. I think you would have made the same decision. It's not a wrong decision and it's not a right decision it's just a decision we must sometimes make instinctively. It was a fight and shots were thrown by a bunch of guys who enjoy throwing shots. One guy got a black eye and one got a punch in the back of the head and one took a flying jump out the octagon... but no-one ended up looking like either Ferguson or Pettis! 30 minutes earlier the BIGGEST UFC audience EVER had just watched a violent bloodbath! The ridiculous 30 second melee after the Khabib-Connor fight was boring compared to that! And people who have bought their PPV would have enjoyed that shit! Don't make it sound like so many of the new audience would have found it disgraceful and will never buy a UFC PPV event again. Of course they will! They'll be even more likely. After watching the bore draws in boxing, or 12 rounds of no action and no passion, this will be like fresh air to people. It was a fight and there was bad feeling and bad blood and one man wanted to avenge and humble another and these things happen and they don't detract from the event but add to it. Though, I agree with you that they detract from the sport and the philosophy of martial arts. But it's the event which sells and the event which is king and the post-fight melee only added to the event - people got a little more bang for their bucks. Sorry the comment is so long... Thanks for reading (if you made it through).
do tony vs pettis pls. Tony straight up did wing chung in that fight, effectively, deserves a breakdown
you forgot tony “where your kids at” ferguson
1st sentence you had me swayed. I originally didn't think it was that bad in comparison to Conor's bus attack, but what makes it worse is there were more people at risk; drunk and upset Irish fans, alongside drunk and proud Russian fans. If the both fights (Dillon and Khabib, Conor and Team Khabib) didn't get split up as soon as they did, I'd say that even more fights would have erupted the stadium, putting innocent bystanders at risk just like you said. Take the crowd away, and it's minuscule.
sregi22 that shit would have happened after the fight without the meles
Peoples reaction to this shows exactly the kind of society we live in. Trash talk, insult, demean, humiliate verbally is all accepted and then when they retaliate you start crying. This verbal bullying culture needs to stop. Most western sheep just will never understand and respect different cultures, religions, parents, elderly etc.
Edit: Not condoning what khabib did at all..i was sooo disappointed as Coach Firas said it would and it almost ruined the whole night. But dont poke a bear and expect it not to retaliate atleast once.
It is true.
You need to man up, little girl. Men can handle their feelings, not lash out emotionally like a women on her period.

Wise words and good advice, but just to be clear the Irish man who gave the finger also spit at the man who dropped him, if it's the same video. I agree the sport is becoming a little bit WWF show. We need to bring back the honor of martial arts.
"John Kavanagh fought himself." First Zahabi
Agreed, both of them did wrong, Conor in the pre-fight and Khabib in the aftermath. I can't justify what Khabib did but when you read up on Dagestan you can understand more about where Khabib is coming from and why his line of thinking is like it is. Saying things operate differently around would be an understatement.
Actually McGregor throwing that left punch at Khabib's brother was the hardest punch hit. Look at the bruise.
*NICE TO KNOW U WOULDNT DO SHIT IF U WAS IN MY CORNER ZAHABI*
Certain lines you just don't cross...and connor has crossed lines many times...To every action their is a reaction.
once and while someone crosses the line and then the rest of us know exactly where it is... we live and we learn...
Great video though

I agree 100%. Immoral behaviour breeds immoral behaviour. This used to be a sport i could advice to my children, it is no longer the case, i don't want my children to behave like Connor McGregor, a wealthy men behaving like a thug, it is no longer martial arts and i wish more people spoke against this the way coach Zahabi does. The sport needs more people like him more than ever.
best in the bizz u are awesome and fair
I agree with you akhi
May Allah bless you brother.
more people need to practice tolerance
Respect brother
I just want each person to take responsibility, and that first punch thing kinda diffuses the other people to take responsibility with that “excuse”. I just hope Conor take high road apologize and just admit everything in the build up was wrong and be better
The first punch thing isn’t a fair argument, doesn’t mean anything about the assaults/punches because of the way it went down after that punch. Each thing from Conor to the other two guys to khabib its all wrong but using this first punch thing is not really realistic because khabib has already jumped out of cage at that point, each persons actions are there own
I agree with most of what you say except these 2 points. First I agree that childern are out of bounds and they should never be brought in but the other items have been brought up before. I did not hear Conor say anything about his religion other than questioning why he doesn't drink. If I missed something and he actually made negative comments about his religion then I understand why that would upset him but still do not think you should attack someone over that. The second thing I think, or should say know, you are missing the point on is Conor throwing the first punch. Conor was just in a fight, got chocked and punched a punch. Khabib jumps the fence and Conor starts going over then stops, for whatever reason, and when he is back in the cage he looks up and sees someone from the other team yelling and hoovering over him. He has no idea what that guys intentions are, he just reacted.
McGregor is a bastard, that's why I love him, he competes as the villain or heel alot. Who doesn't like that? I can understand Why people don't like it, but I don't really care how they feel. Its competition, the fighter will get what's coming to them.
Nate Taite it’s not about Mcgregor. It ended at Mcgregor and went to Dillon
Nate Taite wrong, you need to go back and compare press conferences to this past one. You are incorrect
I concur with everything you said coach, except for validating Khabib's coach climbing on the fence. If you see your opponent jump your teammate and then see the opponent's teamate climb the fence... Then assuming danger and throwing the first punch is pure instinct.
With all due respect coach.
Also, when the fight ended Ali, Khabibs manager came up behind Dannis and slapped him in the head. Just adding one more thing to the shit show lol.
Firas is right, Conor passed the line/limit of acceptable trash talk, and Khabib made him pay. End of story, give them both their money and this should be a lesson learned for Dana. Don't promote trash talking that goes to someone's family, religion or country, and sanction players that throw dollies into windows.
C-O-N-O-R. Otherwise, the usual two thumbs way way up.
my nigga French Montana is an MMA coach too...?
Wtf 23 dislikes what did he say that was wrong?
audi a6 1.9tdi repairs three goons attacked Conor after a fight, nah fuck that never let them in the USA again
I definitely agree with family, religion is a little more complicated and depends on what the other person puts on the table. Most religions take far too many liberties in judging other people they cant expect themselves to be free if similar judgement.
Khabib for the most part makes his religion known but keeps it to himself. Many of his sketchy associations are due to geographic proximity and politics. I think those should be off the table. That said many non chechen or dagastani fighters going to visit kadyrov, that sht is fair game. Alis kid is off the table, but everything else with Ali seems fair game. The dude enjoys the spotlight trash talk himself so thats to be expected.
Thoughtful breakdown but i got to disagree with u on a couple points
1) trust the journalists to do the fact checking, no explanation needed i think
2) conor threw first....
Khabib was already out of the cage attacking danis. So when someone reaches at u from the other team i get why ur gonna swing. And one of Khabib teammates made statements before the fight he was gonna attack conor. He said thesame thing after the fact too
Kids is the only one you have a point with. Religion and politics are fair game.
If MMA was like it was before the fighters would still be paid 20k a fight lol.
I've met a thousand Conor mcgregors in my life and there all the same win a few fights think there the hardest man in the world then get beat by better stock and never show there faces again.
I agree with you bro, but the first one to do anythinh was khabib leapinxg out of the cage at McGregor's friends. I'm not a McGregor fan but... You can't really blame a guy for swinging after a melee erupts
