    Great tip on packing the o’rings into the shock body after the shaft is in place.

    Heck of a video brother! That makes so much more sense now! I'm going to start doing it that way! I was rebuilding my 8th scale shocks last week and damaged my rings doing it the original way and now I have to rebuild them!

    I've always assembled the cartridge parts and them left the cap loose so as to not compres them, and fed the shaft down through ... but I think I'm gonna try this way next time around...
    I coat rings with green slime and then put a bit in the shock, insert an o ring, then a bit more around the inside of the shock body, spacer bushing, a bit more slime, 2nd o ring, and a bit of slime before the last hat bushing...then the cap loosely started on.... am I jist wasting slime by basically filing the cartridge with it so the space is all taken up by either parts of grease...? It's worked well so I've never really questioned it much...
    Bleeding shocks during the race day is something I need to do more, thanks for the reminder...
    Thanks again for all the videos and all u do, keep shining bro!

    How often do you recommend replacing the xrings? Thank you for all the great videos over the years!

    Great tips, What is the purpose of these limiters? Are these limiters still needed in dusty outdoor areas?

    Hello Mr @Drake.
    May I ask if you could clarify why you drill your pistons with two different size holes in stead of 6 same size holes (when 1/8 buggy, using MIP bypass pistons).
    I am sorry if you allready explained this in a video. I looked through quite some videos but must have missed it.
    Thx in advance

      It's a safe way to not damage the x-rings.

    If I am not mistaken x rings are silicon so silicon oil should not effect them I could be mistaken
    Great video anyway thanks

      Silicone oil will cause the silicone o-rings and x-rings to swell.

    Why is it you don't want any rebound? Is there certain situations that you do need rebound ?

    Do you re soak the o-rings everytime you replace shock oil? Or just replace orings after rebuilding the shocks?

    • @AdamDrake
      @AdamDrake  Месяц назад

      No, just when rebuilding and putting in new o-rings.

    Do The o or x rings not soaking up the lube and swell? What's the difference between the silikonoil oring lube and normal silicone oil? That one will swell the rings the other not?

    • @AdamDrake
      @AdamDrake  4 месяца назад +1

      The silicone lube or some of the greases on the market are to protect the o-ring from the silicone oil. The silicone oil will make the o-rings swell.
