2024..and still one of the BEST songs from the 80ies.
Heard it on the radio for the first time in my life....only ever heard it in the original Valley Girl and the soundtrack to the movie....amazing song!
Just heard it on an a Miami Vice episode. Great fit for the scene.

But I think the opening lyrics are incorrect; what makes more sense are the lyrics "is it nothing... the something I feel..." as opposed to your interpretation.

Usually, when you see the correct lyric, you wonder how it wasn't obvious to you. But once in a while...you still hear the wrong lyric

Just discovered this gem during Richard Blade’s slot on 1st Wave. Love it. Without knowing who it was, listening to the opening led me to think it was the Police, before the singing.

Watched Valley Girl yesterday. This song was in it. It brought back so many memories of my youth, first love, first everything.
Haven't heard this in a good 35 years or more! Used to be played on a college radio station I really enjoyed. Somehow it popped up on my playlist, amazing. I'm pretty happy feeling the 80's again!
