This is actually my favorite song on New Beginning, it's highly energetic, upbeat and makes you get your fkn ass up and move.
Also the trading vocals and then the harmomies in the chorus... it's a great chorus! 🙂

Every, and I mean every, Band-Maid song is special in some way and a cut above most every other song you hear. I mean, you could take Ooparts (meaning an out-of-place artifact), or Don't Apply The Brakes, for example, songs not currently played live, but if they did play them somewhere, some intimate club, it would probably rock the house more than that place has ever been rocked before. That's the sign of a supergroup, imo. Thx, Ross! BTW - P in D has a really great photomontage with Ooparts and other Maid songs you might want to check out.

Very early on, I was getting Aikawa Nanase vibes with the guitars. Just for a few seconds. And then I heard them singing, and the Aikawa Nanase vibes came back, specifically "Yumemiru Shoujo ja Irarenai".

Especially when it comes to Akane, I wonder what a reinterpretation would sound like. 🤔 I mean, you can hear it, and we remember that she wasn't that comfortable with the double pedals back then... A remake could sound really interesting imho. 😎

Okay, this one surprised the hell out of me. It’s like it was designed in a lab to poke my brain in the right spots. I’m not sure why i barely listened to it in the past. It’s not FREEZER level of perfect for me, but not far off. I thought for sure it would land under Thrill, but then i listened again… and i thought, no, i like this more… so i put it in my list and listened to my top 5 again… and no, i like it more than real existence i think. Maybe? It took like 7 listens of all 3 to decide.
It comes down to thinking Real Existence is a technically better song, but I like Don’t apply the breaks more. Man, this one was rough.

I like several parts of this song a lot, but for me they never quite come together. I also think it feels more repetitive than most Band-Maid songs.
