Thank you for the good video. Not bad. I'm retiring down that way in July from USA. I'm looking for something outside the big city myself. Maybe a bit smaller, and in a bit better shape though. My $2300/mo social security should get me something. I might have to just rent something in a hotel for a month, buy a Honda ADV, and go look around.

Get in touch with a realtor. They know weres places. Or just look at the Facebook marketplace for places. Nice houses that size go for around 20,000 to 30,000 . Good luck 👍

    Thanks for the video!
I do have a point of information for you (and anyone else). A ground is not required for a GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) to function. It looks fir a 4ma to 6ma imbalance between the two current carrying conductors, in a split second. It doesn't take much more than that to send your heart into fibluation. 😳 If there us anyway you can get GFCI protection on bathroom and kitchen circuits, do it!

Mostly they don't even install good grounds here. 2 prong US still plugs You probably can get one from Amazon but not sure if it will work on 220.
I haven't seen any ground fault outlets even available. Although they may be here somewhere.
I'm finding in the long run many things that you can't find. It's just about where to look and how far you'll have to go to get it. Lol
We call it the great Philippine scavenger hunt.
By the way, calling places and trying to find something is pointless. You're going to have to go there. Or you'll be just pissing in the wind.
      Lol welcome to the philippines

@@1mlostintranslation499 that's the beauty of GFCI protection. A ground is not required. There's several different options out there. I have 208 volt 3 phase equipment that has GFCI protection.
I find the electrical on the videos for several countries very scetchy!

Haven't looked for one here. But haven't seen one in any hardware stores.
There's a company called Polaris in Dumaguete. They sell many things electrical. Very large power inverters can be gotten there. One l looked at was way to heavy fir me to even move. Probably could run a hole house

@dewaynefanchier589 Thanks for the information. I'm planning to add an outlet to our bathroom soon. Maybe I'll try to find 1.
I shipped many power strips from the USA and found the seam to work here on 220v.
Not sure if the breaker will pop, unfortunately.
      Welcome to the Philippines lol
They do sell power strips here are l use one in my kitchen but there's no groundfalt breaker

I sometimes miss quote . But but generally, you get that I see and hear. Unlike other channels that lie about the prices. That's why I shoot the video from the street first. Where the house is matters a lot.

Rent in the Dumaguete area and Dauin are higher than in many other places around the Philippines unfortunately.
They rented it around 2 weeks after the video

Prices are going up here lately. 17,000p isn't to bad for that house. Only took 2 weeks to rent it. I found a better one in Dauin for 20,000. We've been here since February 1st
