A very nice video sharing of your, enthusiasm for life and the "REAL COST to live in the Philippines BEACH FRONT and WHAT to EXPECT Dauin Negros Oriental 🇵🇭"! Full support & Best of luck po/Ned 👏🎉👏
Thank you for a very detailed review of the Drill Shack Tala. Nice of you to point out the detailed things that the owners think of . I much appreciate these type of resort vids…Lots of bang for your buck (peso). I have considered spending some time in Dauin and try some diving. You are awesome!!
Hello Tim! Absolutely bang for the buck and if this is the kind of place you’re looking for, the cost seems relative to what we consider “luxuries in life” ☀️
Very smart lady, interesting video, thanks for sharing, now a new subscriber. I know your are partial to this place, but you would do well reviewing other places to stay. Thanks Tala !
Thank you so much for this video! It’s so educational. Can you do like a day in the life in the province ? It would be nice to see a daily routine for island life ♥️
I hope you’ll stay tuned because some videos are coming out about what it’s like living here, I’ve done a roadtrip to show the real life along roadside. Fresh eggs, seafood, grains, etc. 😊
It looks like exactly what I’m looking for. Providing they let me fix up the unit. I live in the US and I’m headed to the Philippines, December of next year to retire. and you seem very friendly and I would like to get to know you I could use a friend when I get there.
Is the place in Airbnb? Is it for sale? The place is beachfront but looks tired & needs renovation. Your video made the place an interesting place to visit. Thanks
This place looks great, esp. for the price! Makes me want to hop on a plane today and start my retirement early! :) Is this a month-to-month rental, or do you need to sign a contract for 3, 6 or 12 months? Any deposit required? I am guessing that water & electric are also included, since I do not remember if you said otherwise. How far away is it from restaurants, grocery stores, etc.? Do you absolutely need the scooter, or could you walk or ride a bicycle? Thanks yet again for another very useful & informative vlog! Looking forward to more of your budget travel/living vlogs!
Hello Michael and welcome to the channel 👋🏻 it’s pretty central to Dauin market and a short drive to Dumaguete. Too far to walk so best with a vehicle! And yes water and electricity are included 😊
Thanks for the delightful video. Love your fairy lights (as we call them in Canada. I love how you made your room a home. I'm looking for a budget place near the water where I can stay for about a month in the fall or winter. AC is desired and a private room or apartment and WIFI. I'm a writer so I will be spending time working on my own work, along with exploring and having some fun. Dauin seems like a cool place. Can you point me to other places to consider? Thanks a bunch!
This place would’ve nice for solitude if you need that for writing. There are many other places tho I specifically made this for those on a budget but needing AC! There’s a beautiful beachfront Airbnb called Sanctuary Cove about 20mins from Dauin, stay tuned as I’ll be giving a tour of that! It’s about php38k monthly but it has all the “comforts”
That’s correct, and thank you for the sub! You can also take a direct flight to Dumaguete, saves you having to sail from Cebu. Not unless you’re wanting to explore Cebu 😊
Excellent! You say it all and show it all, plus or minus. Were you a little worried about being the only person there? Didn't see and you didn't say anything about security.
Hello William and welcome to the channel 👋🏻 It’s a pretty open place and Dauin has been chill, meaning rare crime rates. It’s been safe and peaceful because the life here is just so simple and down to earth 🤷🏻♀️
Quite reasonable indeed. There might be an option to request for an electric burner and microwave. There is also a shared kitchen with all of those inclusive of the price 😊
Very nice place to live. I like the Bach to wake up there. If do not mind to tell me how much money is the house over there where re you. With $ USA money? Also how much is the air conditioner there $? Look very quiet and peaceful? Also how far is from city with car, or motorcycle for groceries, shopping and necessary life! Can you respond me back intresting vidio.❤
Hello Martin and welcome to the channel 👋🏻 we bought those Php995 portable WiFi that you can reload every month. Inclusive of the monthly rate already. Fast enough-ish
I lived in The Philiipines for almost a year. I traveld 10 islands. I do not want to be negative but Sorry to say a Lot of the philiipines is just Not maintened properly. I had applied for the SRRV but realized That living in the Philippines was not for me for many reasons. Just curious are you filipino/american?
I’m Filipino and super sorry to hear about your experience. Living in the Philippines is not for everyone but for sure there are many happy people who have moved here 🫶
@@TalaTalks I kind of figured you were Filipino. Again please do not take this wrong but Filipino pride is one of the biggest issues I had in the Philippines. In most countries peoples not only accept criticism they use it to make things better. In the Philippines if you say anything negative most Filipinos will get upset and attack you. Many of the foreigners that stay is because they are involved with a Filipina not because they love the Philippines.
Hello Jerry and welcome to the channel 👋🏻 3 people will not fit my little place, they have a larger accommodation for pretty much the same price! Or slight increase
I too like your enthusiasm, but I'm not a fan of the music your playing while touring. The music is very sporadic going very loud to soft. It's just annoying.
I thought your enthusiasm for everything was very refreshing and made the video shine. You seem to have quite the positive outlook on life.
Hello Decadent and welcome to the channel 👋🏻 thank you so much for the kind words, appreciate it! Sending all the positivity back to you ☀️

Stay tuned I’ll be posting a video on a “luxury”-ish Airbnb that’s also also beachfront 😊

Hello, you are a beautiful lady and your English is great.
Her English is great because she's really American. She's beautiful because she's partly Filipina.
Hello Billy and welcome to the channel 👋🏻 thank you for the kind words
What a lovely thing to say 😊 Tho I’m pure Filipina ☀️
Brilliant 🙏 thankyou
You’re most welcome 😊
Cool
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Hi, Tala, so you are in Dumaguete? I have to fly to Cebu first then take the ferry to Dumaguete then head to Dauin…. Your new Sub from NY.
That’s correct, and thank you for the sub! You can also take a direct flight to Dumaguete, saves you having to sail from Cebu. Not unless you’re wanting to explore Cebu 😊
just a small assistance to recall the words that were on the verge of your memory at 13:54, you might mean an oil rig or oil platform ❤😊
That’s exactly it and thanks for refreshing my memory ☀️
same price of a bunkbed in siargao minus AC , pool and beach front. would have been nice if it was sunset facing.
Siargao is very expensive especially for the price-value ratio 🫣 The Philippines in general compared to some other neighbouring Asian countries

Thank you ☺️
No microwave or electric burner to heat food? I guess for 9,000 or 12,000, it's reasonable.

How much is your electric bill with air conditioning?😮😊
Hello Steve! The prices mentioned are all inclusive 😊
What if you have 2 or 3 kids how does that affect price
get bigger room
Buy more food.

Multiply by 2 o3

HEY. YOURE USING GIOINTHEPHILIPPINES BACKGROUND MUSIC
I too like your enthusiasm, but I'm not a fan of the music your playing while touring. The music is very sporadic going very loud to soft. It's just annoying.
I’ll do something about the music 🫣 Appreciate the feedback!
It seems the rate in dauin now is high, with that simple and light materials like Bahay Kubo is high
I’ve found other accommodations worth 7k monthly tho that doesn’t include AC! Stay tuned as I’ll be posting the other options for accommodations
No hot water ??😮
Hello Bill and welcome to the channel 👋🏻 that’s correct, no hot water but for some reason the tap is already warm 🤭
nice commerical for filipino visa haha. Hope you got paid ?
I'am not to excited about that place.
Why are you only directing your information to Americans? There are other nationalities who may be interested.
