Rewriting the geth heretics makes each Quarian fleet lose 50 points, so -150 in total. You lose -150 from the Geth fleet if you destroy the heretics. So it really doesn't matter.

@@regiman222 it’s influencing the situation from the point that geth in greater numbers would have killed more quarians before Shepard gets involved and they would think “oh those geth are so bloodthirsty” and also the geth would have numbers among them who already submitted to the reapers in the past and so they would be more eager to join reapers again
Not exactly, getting more Geth makes it more difficult to get peace for both sides and getting both Quarians and Geth on your side gets you more points than just getting slightly more geth if you choose their side in the conflict. Of course I should mentioned that it doesn’t make it impossible, just a little more difficult to attain peace.

Dude I’ve been playing Mass Effect 1 to 3 for a very long time and I have to say this is the best guide for ME War assets. Good job man. The only thing that confused me on my first Playthru of ME3 was the reputation system on the Citadel. Some “argument” decisions on the Citadel will either increase the Citadel defense force or decrease it.
Yes and some of them are bugged as well, giving you exactly the opposite of what you supported in their arguments and it's a shame they didn't fix that in legendary edition.
The mod "Kirrahe Makes Good" adds the Special Task Groups asset after you successfully compete Priority Sur'kesh (as long as you add the mod before you do the mission), so you get both assets as you should.

I would love if we could have beaten the Reapers without building the catalyst. Just unite the entire galaxy and make no mistakes and your new army sweep through the entire reaper fleet again and again Javik would just stand there watching like (00.00)
In case anyone is wondering, you can get the perfect ending with 7600 war assets before the Cerberus HQ mission. Some people say that you can even with 7500, but at least get to 7600 just in case.
I’m really trying but I only have 7194. I’ve done everything I can think of, but I just don’t know what else I can do to get war assets. I’ve scanned all the planets, done all the side missions, and have been mostly paragon. Do you have any advice?
@@alexcovert2526 Did you made most of the side missions in Mass Effect 1 and 2? Because that has a major impact in your total war assets at the end of the game. You should also look for your Mass Effect 2 squad mates like Kasumi, since it will give you around 100 points (I think). Also, you could look for more side missions on the Citadel or do all the DLC missions before the final mission, once you go to Cerberus HQ, there is no point of return. That’s the only think I can recommend to you. It really depends on what decisions you made throughout the trilogy.
Few misconceptions: -You can still get the perfect ending without killing Kirrahe. It's not necessary to sacrifice our lineholding frog -If you kill/let Aria kill Petrovsky, you still get those 30 WA, but it's Aria's hacker instead -It's better to destroy the Geth Heretics. Makes achieving pece easier, and I don't believe it makes any difference when it comes to the final number of WA, since having less Geth means having more quarians. Also, in order to get the "Shep Brethes" ending, you need to choose Destroy, and this will kill all geth anyway, so you may as well save more quarians -From what I understand, it's better to kill Wrex and let Eve die, so that you can convince Mordin to betray Wreve, giving you Krogan and Salarian WA. But you can definitely get the "perfect" ending with Wrex alive. Important part is that you should destroy Maelon's data *ONLY* if Wrex is dead. -Also useful to choose paragon answers for Allers' interviews. -You get a couple obscure WA by listening in on Citadel conversations. For example, after listening in on the entire smugglers' conversation in Purgatory after P:Citadel2, you can approve smuggler relief aid in the Specter Terminal. But careful, some others, like approving the gun for the PTSD soldier or the transfer for the soldier with the brother in Cerberus can get you to lose WA. -The Specter Terminal is your best friend, it'll grant you access to a bunch of random WA
Destroying the Heretics reduces Geth War Assets by a whopping 150 points. Best thing to do is to save the Rannoch arc until the last possible moment, focus your playthrough as either all Paragon or all Renegade, then do them all at once and make sure you prevented Tali's exile in ME2 without revealing her father's treason and broker peace between her and Legion. Also, make sure you save Admiral Koris or you have no chance. I kept Wrex and Eve alive and got 7800 without problems. Letting Mordin die was painful, love that hyperactive lizard, but either way is definitely doable. You can gain Assets with a Renegade answer to Allers in certain contexts. The Citadel conversations are annoyingly vague. Yes, but make sure to NEVER allow the Asari Huntress option at the terminal. You actually lose points.
Best ending is destroy the star child was manipulating shepard to spare the reapers and the synthesis ending was prove of that so destroy is the only one I choose and shepard always lives if you play the series right and the geth and edi would understand that was the only way to deal with the reapers and my femshep needs to make little blue babies
Yeah, there's a good video by a RUclipsr called Spacedock about Mass Effect 3's ending. Also personally, I completely agree that EDI would have been perfectly willing to sacrifice herself to stop the Reapers. As for the Geth... is it bad that I had a strong idea of which ending to go for and mainly gained peace for the War Assets?

Correct. The quarians have three fleets which lose 50 points each if you rewrite the heretics, the geth have one fleet that will lose 150 points if you destroy the heretics.
@@monody anytime I have rewritten the heretics, I have always ended up with the Quarian’s being wiped out. Now it’s possible I have missed something in game play. A incorrect paragon choice or renegade. The only thing I know for certain is every time I have chosen to destroy the heretics, I have been able to make peace.
Lol when i first played mass effect 3 and ran into balak (the Batarian dude) I totally didn't remember him and was completely confused by the encounter.
Even if it wasn’t disproved, the devs said that shephard being indoctrinated was not accurate. That in the end the decision he made, no matter what it was, was his choice alone. So technically all the endings are real endings. It’s simply how you prefer the serious to end. I like the destroy ending for the fact that shephard lives. But to know after all that work to get the geth and quarians to coexist, just to know they die. Idk I wasn’t the biggest fan of that. I honestly like all the endings bedsides refusal.
i always think since they are machines, they can probably easily be reactivated. they may lose some of their coding, but as a whole they'll be fine. Same with EDI
To be honest I wonder. Why doesn't control effect the geth and EDI like destroy does? I mean you'd think shepherd would control all synthetic life since apparently the crucible doesn't discriminate between reapers and other synthetics with destroy
Honestly, people who consider Destroy to be the best ending after getting the geth fully alive and immediately commiting genocide on them make me a little ill, not gonna lie. It's kinda sick.
I saved Kirrahe, because "hold the line!". But I didn't try on my most recent playthrough and capped my war assets before I even finished the game (also 4 of 5 bars on paragon/renegade is what you need for peace)
Finished Mass Effect 3 today with the Shepard lives Destroy ending. I had 8398 War Assets. 2:01 You get the 5 points for not punching her in ME3, there's a bonus 5 for never punching her.
I never punched her in my playthrough and still have only 5 points. Is this one of those dumb bugs they still didn't fix in LE where the game records the wrong choice you made?

@@liamclarke91 Best ending (Shep lives destroy variant) is 7800 in Legendary Edition which isn't difficult to reach now that mp requirement is removed and all DLC are free (Omega + Levisthan gives a lot). My almost pure paragon engineer finished game at 8200+ today. You forgot hidden Refuse ending which lets Reapers do what they want.
Destroying the heretics gives you the same amount of points the only difference which side has more points. In fact in the end destroying the heretics is better as it makes it easier to talk down the quarians. Also if you want the maximum amount of war assets killing Wrex, saving maelons data and then sabotaging the cure gives you the highest score
yeah but wrex being dead and the genophage not cured kind of means you don't get the best ending, what's the point of surviving the war if wrex is dead
I am still proud I never used a guide I just did what felt right and always got the best outcome, but I always picked synthesis as I didn't want the geth or edi to die. (this inculdes a smidge of renegade quick time events, and reporter punching.)
Sorry to disagree but saving Kirrahe gets you his points PLUS the assets you get when he saves the Salarian representative, and either Ashley/Kaiden in ME3. The choices and their consequences are much more complex than you are describing.
i dont know, destroy seems harsh on the geth and edi - control does seem rather indoctrinated so i went synthesis - but strickly speaking any ending does remove the reaper threat so are you really indoctrinated? besides it proves them wrong about peace between organics and synthetics
@@john345ish The destroy ending doesn't really preclude indoctrination either. If they want to believe every other ending threatens indoctrination, then people have to remember that the one who created the reapers and guides their goals is the Catalyst. Giving the Catalyst the massive power of the Crucible to do anything, if it's intention is indoctrination, means all of the choices Shepard makes are moot and likely nothing more than delusion no matter which color is chosen. The indoctrination angle is simply not well thought out.
Destroying Geth and Edi especially after you gained their trust doesn't really feel like the best ending my guy. Control ending feels like the best imo. Shephard basically becomes the guardian angel of the galaxy. Synthesis goes against everything the trilogy stood for. Synthetics and organics becoming one is a cheap way of ending things
I went with basically a full paragon run. I may have missed one sidequest: the jack one, because I didn’t know at the time it was a jack quest so I never did it because I thought it was a generic side quest. Also I didn’t know where Thane was for the councilor mission, so he never showed up and just died without me ever seeing him again. Also Eve died, because I was off doing other side quests. Other than that though my whole squad survived ME2, I cured the genophage, brokered peace between the quarians and geth, took back omega with Aria did all the other side quests, yet I still can’t get to 7600 war assets. It sucks that I’m gonna get a shit ending now and I hate how there isn’t just an easier way to get that little cutscene at the end. Might as well just finish it though and be as mad as everyone else when the game released and the ending sucked so everyone who played ME3 when it launched I salute y’all and will probably share your anger in about 2-3 hours.
This was my first playthrough of ME and I made a lot of mistakes, which gimped my ending. So time to restart! I'm looking forward to getting it right this time lol.
@@lep2525 I bought ME1 used for 360 a very long time ago and then I bought 2 and 3 for 360. I then bought all 3 for ps3 when I grew up and got a PlayStation lol. Now I have the legendary edition and I can’t stop playing it. It’s an unhealthy relationship lol. My 6 year old even notices when I doing a mission for the 4th or 5th time. I think it’s the story that I like and how many different ways it can be played
Think I may have done the same. I didn't know that Tuchanka was a point of no return on ME3 as I still have several open quests on the Citadel except Barla Von and the salaries engineer are long gone. As much as it pains me, I'd like to be satisfied with my ending without needing a New Game +.
Finally finish up this trilogy with over 8000 galactic readiness. Took only 100 hours to accomplish (30 for the first game, 30 for the second, and 41 for the third one). Spoiler: In final ending Shepard lives.
The war asset system was really annoying. When me3 originally came out I got the best ending without playing the first 2 games and hardly doing everything in me3. I made sure to play way more in the legendary edition and all the previous games but the synthesis ending was locked for me
They make you do the scanning even if you play every game. It's so stupid, if they wanted to make it more fun, make it where you don't have to scan. I play for story, not to grind.
Depending on how you play the game and rp your Shepard, there's no perfect ending, for me anyway. I have 4 main Shepards in which I choose an ending that suits them most 😁 For example, the best ending for my most ruthless Shepard is the reject ending because F that starchild 🤣
I forgot about how the online element can actually help improve progress in the main campaign, and help make a bit of a difference in the final battle of the campaign.

I just finished my 2nd play through of the trilogy, first time around I had the option to destroy the reapers, take control of them, or create synthesis between organic and synthetic life which to me is the Catalyst’s ultimate goal so I picked synthesis. The 2nd play through I didn’t have that option so I picked take control. I should note that my first play through I had lost Jack, Mordin, and Garrus during the suicide mission while this time I didn’t lose anyone so either I didn’t get enough points in other areas or I don’t know.
If I had known about the levels about surviving and dying I'd have taken into account that damn nvm my war assets are at 5588 and Shepard still died and it didn't give me the option to jump into the center either
Finished first time with 5.6k EMS skipped a lot ot things. I felt pretty bad about it so i went for a NG+. Did everything minus rewriting the GethTiks. Finished with 7986 EMS IIRC and finally got to see Shep gasping for air at the end. NGL reading the elcor infantry seems ultra fucking badass. Portable Warthogs.
When you're getting Shepard Survives Ending for either gender you need a total exact amount of Effective Military Strength E.M.S. for short as they like to call it, along with need total exact amount Tactive Military Strength T.M.S to aquire it, but in the Remastered Legendary Edition they lower the amount. So far I don't want to play the Remastered version Mass Effect Legendary Edition, just want to play the Original Trilogy, first time I ever played Mass Effect 2006 PS3 was September 17 2021, finished it on October 6 2021. Even before I ever seen this video I know I definitely wanted the Original Trilogy since they're much better software with their own D.L.C.s, also M.E.2 also M.E.3 Legendary Edition graphics do not look much from the Original, they look mostly the same, but then I first saw this Video I'm like In order to get Shepard Survives Ending, need to make sure to spare the Rachni Queen, save the Council make sure everyone on the Suicide Mission Survives, but when I heard that each squadmates in M.E.2 must Survive, I'm like Heck No. There's Three Companions in M.E.2 I do not like they've done Many Dishonorable Things during their lifelong journey in this War, they're annoying, especially become liabilities in M.E.3 they're not much if any Help in M.E.3, the three Companions are Jack, Jacob, Miranda. When I played OG Mass 3 I had no issues getting enough assets. Of course this was way back before the Lethian DLC was even a thing and the endings just sucked. So far for my first playthrough I've gone Paragon all the way. Romancing Liara through all 3 games. I think I'm about halfway through 3 but with all the DLC I never played I'm not so certain. I'm at around 3000 something assets and Mordin just died (need to look up how to save him for playthrough +). but I'm feeling pretty confident I'll get to 7600 without too much trouble. Now to figure out how to get the random parts everyone's bitching for.
You only need 7800 War Assets. It can be done in Mass Effect: Legendary Edition without multiplayer promotion and you don't need to save the council and Destiny Ascension. All you have to do is explore. Explore the citadel for conversations that set up assignments for you to scan planets for, they all add up. Don't take Ashley or Kaiden as a squadmate, they're non-essential anyway as EDI is immensely powerful with Decoy, Javik is imposing with Dark Channel and Slam, and Garrus is overpowering with the Krysae or Widow. It's a long slog, but it can be done.
All this for just a 5sec animation at the end. I got the best ending with almost 7k power and shepard died on me. Hell I didnt explore any planet, thats the only thing that I didnt so, welp, off I go then.
Actually no.. i played mostly Renegade. You just don't need to be an extreme ass. Being outright renegade may actually grant you more. Yes, you loose and you gain. Renegade things. If you decide to be ONLY paragon or renegade you're gonna loose points. Even in some minor quest in me3 the Renegade option is the better option in terms of War Assets. Like it should be. Being more renegade doesn't mean being blindingly stupid. Sometimes mean being realist. Sometimes is plainly evil. But Paragon too many times is just being blindingly naive. My first Shepard ended up being 4/5th Renegade end i ended up with a random 7810 points even loosing 4 mates in me2.. not saving Maelon's data but saving Wrex.. Almost killing notMordin... refusing the Volus Fleet to save the colony and letting Archer shoot himself. And punching Al Jilani several times.. And many other things. Soo many errors and yet.. For example i never give Miranda Alliance access because fuck you Miranda. Bitch.

I heave gone full paragon every time, so i got over 8k war assets, from what you said i don't agree with you to let kirrake die. There is no need if you do everything in all 3 games.
I agree, you can easily make up minor losses like saving Kirrahe or letting Kaidan back on your squad so you can have the whole crew in the picture at the end of the Citadel party. There's plenty of war assets to be found, and especially if you import your Shepard throughout the trilogy, it's easy to get the best possible ending while also letting as many people as possible live.
Honestly if you’re gonna nitpick over 5 points here, 15 points there in order to maximize EMS, what exactly is the point? With legendary edition it’s not at all difficult to get well over 7k, which is way more than you need in order to unlock every ending.
"How to get the best ending in Mass Effect 3" That has got to be one of the most contradictory statements I have ever read/heard. Unless you're installing alternate ending mods, there is no such thing as the "best ending" in Mass Effect 3.
Among the four available endings it is impossible to determine which is the best. The only certain thing is what the true function of the Crucible was, that is, the synthesis between organic and synthetic life. The Destruction consists in shooting at a part of the Crucible and this does not make sense, because thinking that a device resulting from an advanced alien technology works by shooting at it is like thinking that a sophisticated supercomputer starts up by hammering it. The Control is a partially correct use of the Crucible, because only the thoughts and memories of the user are exploited, but the molecular structure of the user remains unused. In short, the correct functioning of the Crucible consists in exploiting both the mental and molecular essence of the user.
I honestly did not like how Bioware made the required warscore so high that you need to look under every single crack in the ground for war points, when they chose to do that, they should've buffed the current war assets as well, or in my mind, done better by making use of missions and events from the previous games that didn't appear in me3, like the survey collection in me1, make it to if the player finds all required mineral deposits, all alliance fleets get a plus 30 points, with a additional point per every 2 deposits found after. Same with The turian insignia's for the turian fleets, and Matriarch Dilignia's writings for the asari fleets.
I disagree. We are talking about the very best version of the ending you can get, ofcourse you have to work for it. Also there is still more than 500 war asset points you can miss to get the best ending, so you don't have to "look under every single crack in the ground". That not every single side mission or collectable in the entire trilogy gives war assets is also a weird thing to complain about. Nearly everything you do has some kind of consequence or reward, even if it's only credits or xp, it's still there.
Yeah, all the surveying is a bit of a grind and not very interesting gameplay, further reinforced by nearly all the facilities in ME1 being duplicates. (I kept wondering, have I been here already?) Kind of a strange decision in game development.

Good point. My first playthrough (not LE) was fun because I just went with my gut. I didn’t realize how complicated this series actually was. I’m doing my second play through now (LE) and I have a stack of silly reference notes to follow. Sort of kills the natural flow.
Fuck I am stuck at 7688 points Just so you know, you can't complete the zaeed and kazumi side quest in mass effect 3 if the citadel dlc pops up in your mission log, zaeed and the specter related to kazumi will be on your map when in the docking Bay and at the "offices" But if you get to the location the characters will not show up, so complete those missions as soon as you can
its a grind but it helps gathering a lot of materials during mass effect 2. you can get a max of 300 points if i remember it right. last play through in LE i didn't get as much as i use to and still gotten 200 points from it. its better than 25 or 50 i seen most get
They really screwed the pooch with altering how to achieve the full bevy of Mass Effect 3 endings, with this "Legendary" Edition. As much as I liked playing through these games again, dropping the cooperative multiplayer was a HUGE slap in the face.
Honestly I always save the data. We know about hypothermia and its' effects due to torture done by the nazis and the research they made while torturing people. It's fucked up but the information is correct,we used to help treat hypothermia and can accurately explain what is happening during it.
Hey Been through Mass Effect 3 Special Edition on the Wii U recently Off from scratch playing the first time I skipped the Comic on the beginning which could help you set a few important decisions for the story line further on but I didn't know ... I couldn't save Mordin while attempting to cure tge Genophage because a few points in paragon where missing I had both dialog options shown the blue and red ones but they where all grey... guess I generally matched the requirements theoretically though to pass I had to shot him instead to get both Assets the Salarians and Krogans But 150 points from the Salarians wheren't a huge benifit though and I felt bad about shoting Mordin I also couldn't match the requirements to make peace between Geth and Quarians so I choose to help Tali and her Race to destroy the Geth What a waste of resources and personell Missed out a good bunch of war assets from them I thought to gain war assets by letting the Rachni Queen live and free her might be a good desicion but it was a kick in my butt they wiped out my tech corps of the alliance Next time I know better The Wii U Version was cool to play but you'll miss out a lot of options from some DLCs not being included or possible to download and there is no part 1 or 2 to get your old save games imported I'll play again on the XBOX ONE Legendary Edition Greetings from Germany

The mod "Kirrahe Makes Good" adds the Special Task Groups asset after you successfully compete Priority Sur'kesh (as long as you add the mod before you do the mission), so you get both assets as you should.
I couldn't kill Kirrahe even if it does me good.

In case anyone is wondering, you can get the perfect ending with 7600 war assets before the Cerberus HQ mission. Some people say that you can even with 7500, but at least get to 7600 just in case.
I’m really trying but I only have 7194. I’ve done everything I can think of, but I just don’t know what else I can do to get war assets. I’ve scanned all the planets, done all the side missions, and have been mostly paragon. Do you have any advice?
@@alexcovert2526 Did you made most of the side missions in Mass Effect 1 and 2? Because that has a major impact in your total war assets at the end of the game. You should also look for your Mass Effect 2 squad mates like Kasumi, since it will give you around 100 points (I think).
Also, you could look for more side missions on the Citadel or do all the DLC missions before the final mission, once you go to Cerberus HQ, there is no point of return.
That’s the only think I can recommend to you. It really depends on what decisions you made throughout the trilogy.
Scan planets. I highly suggest scanning Asgard on the Exodus Cluster

Few misconceptions:
-You can still get the perfect ending without killing Kirrahe. It's not necessary to sacrifice our lineholding frog
-If you kill/let Aria kill Petrovsky, you still get those 30 WA, but it's Aria's hacker instead
-It's better to destroy the Geth Heretics. Makes achieving pece easier, and I don't believe it makes any difference when it comes to the final number of WA, since having less Geth means having more quarians. Also, in order to get the "Shep Brethes" ending, you need to choose Destroy, and this will kill all geth anyway, so you may as well save more quarians
-From what I understand, it's better to kill Wrex and let Eve die, so that you can convince Mordin to betray Wreve, giving you Krogan and Salarian WA. But you can definitely get the "perfect" ending with Wrex alive. Important part is that you should destroy Maelon's data *ONLY* if Wrex is dead.
-Also useful to choose paragon answers for Allers' interviews.
-You get a couple obscure WA by listening in on Citadel conversations. For example, after listening in on the entire smugglers' conversation in Purgatory after P:Citadel2, you can approve smuggler relief aid in the Specter Terminal. But careful, some others, like approving the gun for the PTSD soldier or the transfer for the soldier with the brother in Cerberus can get you to lose WA.
-The Specter Terminal is your best friend, it'll grant you access to a bunch of random WA
Destroying the Heretics reduces Geth War Assets by a whopping 150 points. Best thing to do is to save the Rannoch arc until the last possible moment, focus your playthrough as either all Paragon or all Renegade, then do them all at once and make sure you prevented Tali's exile in ME2 without revealing her father's treason and broker peace between her and Legion. Also, make sure you save Admiral Koris or you have no chance.
I kept Wrex and Eve alive and got 7800 without problems. Letting Mordin die was painful, love that hyperactive lizard, but either way is definitely doable.
You can gain Assets with a Renegade answer to Allers in certain contexts.
The Citadel conversations are annoyingly vague.

Yeah, there's a good video by a RUclipsr called Spacedock about Mass Effect 3's ending. Also personally, I completely agree that EDI would have been perfectly willing to sacrifice herself to stop the Reapers. As for the Geth... is it bad that I had a strong idea of which ending to go for and mainly gained peace for the War Assets?

@@monody anytime I have rewritten the heretics, I have always ended up with the Quarian’s being wiped out. Now it’s possible I have missed something in game play. A incorrect paragon choice or renegade.
The only thing I know for certain is every time I have chosen to destroy the heretics, I have been able to make peace.
Lol when i first played mass effect 3 and ran into balak (the Batarian dude) I totally didn't remember him and was completely confused by the encounter.
Pretty much do everything and choose positive/paragon outcomes and saves lives whenever you can.

Even if it wasn’t disproved, the devs said that shephard being indoctrinated was not accurate. That in the end the decision he made, no matter what it was, was his choice alone. So technically all the endings are real endings. It’s simply how you prefer the serious to end. I like the destroy ending for the fact that shephard lives. But to know after all that work to get the geth and quarians to coexist, just to know they die. Idk I wasn’t the biggest fan of that. I honestly like all the endings bedsides refusal.
At least the geth died working again together with their creators in the end...
i always think since they are machines, they can probably easily be reactivated. they may lose some of their coding, but as a whole they'll be fine. Same with EDI

Honestly, people who consider Destroy to be the best ending after getting the geth fully alive and immediately commiting genocide on them make me a little ill, not gonna lie. It's kinda sick.
I saved Kirrahe, because "hold the line!". But I didn't try on my most recent playthrough and capped my war assets before I even finished the game (also 4 of 5 bars on paragon/renegade is what you need for peace)

Destroying the heretics gives you the same amount of points the only difference which side has more points.
In fact in the end destroying the heretics is better as it makes it easier to talk down the quarians.
Also if you want the maximum amount of war assets killing Wrex, saving maelons data and then sabotaging the cure gives you the highest score

Sorry to disagree but saving Kirrahe gets you his points PLUS the assets you get when he saves the Salarian representative, and either Ashley/Kaiden in ME3. The choices and their consequences are much more complex than you are describing.

If they want to believe every other ending threatens indoctrination, then people have to remember that the one who created the reapers and guides their goals is the Catalyst. Giving the Catalyst the massive power of the Crucible to do anything, if it's intention is indoctrination, means all of the choices Shepard makes are moot and likely nothing more than delusion no matter which color is chosen.
The indoctrination angle is simply not well thought out.
Destroying Geth and Edi especially after you gained their trust doesn't really feel like the best ending my guy. Control ending feels like the best imo. Shephard basically becomes the guardian angel of the galaxy. Synthesis goes against everything the trilogy stood for. Synthetics and organics becoming one is a cheap way of ending things
I went with basically a full paragon run. I may have missed one sidequest: the jack one, because I didn’t know at the time it was a jack quest so I never did it because I thought it was a generic side quest. Also I didn’t know where Thane was for the councilor mission, so he never showed up and just died without me ever seeing him again. Also Eve died, because I was off doing other side quests. Other than that though my whole squad survived ME2, I cured the genophage, brokered peace between the quarians and geth, took back omega with Aria did all the other side quests, yet I still can’t get to 7600 war assets. It sucks that I’m gonna get a shit ending now and I hate how there isn’t just an easier way to get that little cutscene at the end. Might as well just finish it though and be as mad as everyone else when the game released and the ending sucked so everyone who played ME3 when it launched I salute y’all and will probably share your anger in about 2-3 hours.
This was my first playthrough of ME and I made a lot of mistakes, which gimped my ending. So time to restart! I'm looking forward to getting it right this time lol.

Now I have the legendary edition and I can’t stop playing it. It’s an unhealthy relationship lol. My 6 year old even notices when I doing a mission for the 4th or 5th time. I think it’s the story that I like and how many different ways it can be played

I didn't know that Tuchanka was a point of no return on ME3 as I still have several open quests on the Citadel except Barla Von and the salaries engineer are long gone.
As much as it pains me, I'd like to be satisfied with my ending without needing a New Game +.
Finally finish up this trilogy with over 8000 galactic readiness. Took only 100 hours to accomplish (30 for the first game, 30 for the second, and 41 for the third one).

The war asset system was really annoying. When me3 originally came out I got the best ending without playing the first 2 games and hardly doing everything in me3. I made sure to play way more in the legendary edition and all the previous games but the synthesis ending was locked for me
They make you do the scanning even if you play every game. It's so stupid, if they wanted to make it more fun, make it where you don't have to scan. I play for story, not to grind.
On the feros mission in me 1 you can actually just punch all of them and it counts as knocking them out not killing them
If Wrex dies on Virmire you can sabotage the cure to gain both the krogan and solarian fleet. Wreve doesn't find out but Wrex will.
Depending on how you play the game and rp your Shepard, there's no perfect ending, for me anyway.
I have 4 main Shepards in which I choose an ending that suits them most 😁
For example, the best ending for my most ruthless Shepard is the reject ending because F that starchild 🤣

I just finished my 2nd play through of the trilogy, first time around I had the option to destroy the reapers, take control of them, or create synthesis between organic and synthetic life which to me is the Catalyst’s ultimate goal so I picked synthesis. The 2nd play through I didn’t have that option so I picked take control. I should note that my first play through I had lost Jack, Mordin, and Garrus during the suicide mission while this time I didn’t lose anyone so either I didn’t get enough points in other areas or I don’t know.
If I had known about the levels about surviving and dying I'd have taken into account that damn nvm my war assets are at 5588 and Shepard still died and it didn't give me the option to jump into the center either

Finished first time with 5.6k EMS skipped a lot ot things. I felt pretty bad about it so i went for a NG+. Did everything minus rewriting the GethTiks. Finished with 7986 EMS IIRC and finally got to see Shep gasping for air at the end.

When you're getting Shepard Survives Ending for either gender you need a total exact amount of Effective Military Strength E.M.S. for short as they like to call it, along with need total exact amount Tactive Military Strength T.M.S to aquire it, but in the Remastered Legendary Edition they lower the amount. So far I don't want to play the Remastered version Mass Effect Legendary Edition, just want to play the Original Trilogy, first time I ever played Mass Effect 2006 PS3 was September 17 2021, finished it on October 6 2021.

When I played OG Mass 3 I had no issues getting enough assets. Of course this was way back before the Lethian DLC was even a thing and the endings just sucked.
So far for my first playthrough I've gone Paragon all the way. Romancing Liara through all 3 games. I think I'm about halfway through 3 but with all the DLC I never played I'm not so certain. I'm at around 3000 something assets and Mordin just died (need to look up how to save him for playthrough +). but I'm feeling pretty confident I'll get to 7600 without too much trouble.
Now to figure out how to get the random parts everyone's bitching for.
You only need 7800 War Assets. It can be done in Mass Effect: Legendary Edition without multiplayer promotion and you don't need to save the council and Destiny Ascension. All you have to do is explore. Explore the citadel for conversations that set up assignments for you to scan planets for, they all add up. Don't take Ashley or Kaiden as a squadmate, they're non-essential anyway as EDI is immensely powerful with Decoy, Javik is imposing with Dark Channel and Slam, and Garrus is overpowering with the Krysae or Widow. It's a long slog, but it can be done.
All this for just a 5sec animation at the end. I got the best ending with almost 7k power and shepard died on me. Hell I didnt explore any planet, thats the only thing that I didnt so, welp, off I go then.

I agree, you can easily make up minor losses like saving Kirrahe or letting Kaidan back on your squad so you can have the whole crew in the picture at the end of the Citadel party. There's plenty of war assets to be found, and especially if you import your Shepard throughout the trilogy, it's easy to get the best possible ending while also letting as many people as possible live.

Honestly if you’re gonna nitpick over 5 points here, 15 points there in order to maximize EMS, what exactly is the point? With legendary edition it’s not at all difficult to get well over 7k, which is way more than you need in order to unlock every ending.

The Control is a partially correct use of the Crucible, because only the thoughts and memories of the user are exploited, but the molecular structure of the user remains unused.
In short, the correct functioning of the Crucible consists in exploiting both the mental and molecular essence of the user.
I honestly did not like how Bioware made the required warscore so high that you need to look under every single crack in the ground for war points, when they chose to do that, they should've buffed the current war assets as well, or in my mind, done better by making use of missions and events from the previous games that didn't appear in me3, like the survey collection in me1, make it to if the player finds all required mineral deposits, all alliance fleets get a plus 30 points, with a additional point per every 2 deposits found after. Same with The turian insignia's for the turian fleets, and Matriarch Dilignia's writings for the asari fleets.
I disagree. We are talking about the very best version of the ending you can get, ofcourse you have to work for it. Also there is still more than 500 war asset points you can miss to get the best ending, so you don't have to "look under every single crack in the ground". That not every single side mission or collectable in the entire trilogy gives war assets is also a weird thing to complain about. Nearly everything you do has some kind of consequence or reward, even if it's only credits or xp, it's still there.

Yeah, all the surveying is a bit of a grind and not very interesting gameplay, further reinforced by nearly all the facilities in ME1 being duplicates. (I kept wondering, have I been here already?) Kind of a strange decision in game development.

Just so you know, you can't complete the zaeed and kazumi side quest in mass effect 3 if the citadel dlc pops up in your mission log, zaeed and the specter related to kazumi will be on your map when in the docking Bay and at the "offices"
But if you get to the location the characters will not show up, so complete those missions as soon as you can
And not only save mailings data but make sure you tell him Morden and he should he use it to help the Krogan people

its a grind but it helps gathering a lot of materials during mass effect 2. you can get a max of 300 points if i remember it right. last play through in LE i didn't get as much as i use to and still gotten 200 points from it. its better than 25 or 50 i seen most get

They really screwed the pooch with altering how to achieve the full bevy of Mass Effect 3 endings, with this "Legendary" Edition. As much as I liked playing through these games again, dropping the cooperative multiplayer was a HUGE slap in the face.

How many war assets can you get if you scan everything on there own? (Total from just scanning)

somehow I finished the arrival.but still lose 50 war asset
so if I want the green ending, I have to play through the entire three games again, 100% each time?
Honestly I always save the data. We know about hypothermia and its' effects due to torture done by the nazis and the research they made while torturing people. It's fucked up but the information is correct,we used to help treat hypothermia and can accurately explain what is happening during it.
Not to mention if the data is destroyed then they had died for nothing

Been through Mass Effect 3 Special Edition on the Wii U recently
Off from scratch playing the first time I skipped the Comic on the beginning which could help you set a few important decisions for the story line further on but I didn't know ...
I couldn't save Mordin while attempting to cure tge Genophage because a few points in paragon where missing I had both dialog options shown the blue and red ones but they where all grey... guess I generally matched the requirements theoretically though to pass
I had to shot him instead to get both Assets the Salarians and Krogans
But 150 points from the Salarians wheren't a huge benifit though and I felt bad about shoting Mordin
I also couldn't match the requirements to make peace between Geth and Quarians so I choose to help Tali and her Race to destroy the Geth
What a waste of resources and personell
Missed out a good bunch of war assets from them
I thought to gain war assets by letting the Rachni Queen live and free her might be a good desicion but it was a kick in my butt they wiped out my tech corps of the alliance
Next time I know better
The Wii U Version was cool to play but you'll miss out a lot of options from some DLCs not being included or possible to download and there is no part 1 or 2 to get your old save games imported

People can reach 8000 easily. I've reached 8178 that's my highest war assets.
Banana armored Shep there would definitely punch a woman. I'd be insecure as hell too if I had to go on live TV wearing that minions cosplay. 😋
