Hi Mike😃👋 You and Don did great with the 8" & 15" coils. First time Ive seen someone find an old MRE packet. I liked that find 😁 And to still be able to read some ingredients & directions on the label 😄 Great hunt guys🤙
Cheers for taking me on a US hunt Mike. Always makes me 'smile' when big companies bring some their best coils almost as "an after-thought". For me, on my sites in UK, the LG24 is perfectly adequate, and the LG 30 is on par for the rest. £330 x hundreds of thousands of LG owners later eh! Both my coils have re-payed me, but it's not often like that for newcomers and others. Nokta knew how good the SP 24 was already😉 Just my take though Mike. Doesn't make me right.
Hey Tim! I like the new 30, i have kept that on the Legend, i also like the coiltek 10x5 on the 900. I keep them setup for certain hunting conditions and leave them that way.
Mike, I'd like to ask three questions please. How highly do you rate the 900, and why. Also, is it as good as 'they' say for deeper pasture work, compared to LG? I have found late Iron Age habitation, hence the ask. I'm older and wiser now at 64, so I'm ####ed if I'm going to throw good money at a, 'latest kiddie on the block' without proper advice. I trust your word Mike.@@IffySignals
@@KernowekTim hey Tim, the Legend and the 900 are both deep pasture machines. I have not noticed one deeper than the other in my soil and both have a good coil selection to choose from. The one thing i have found important on the 900 over the Legend is its ability to call large iron iron. The Legend will call large iron a good non ferrous in most cases. That does not bother some people but i like to have that ability. It has been improved some on the Legend with its new iron rejection features. Both are deep and fast (able to unmask and separate) machines. The ID scale and audio options are better on the 900 as well. Legend or 900 will be personal preference both are in the top dog category right now in my opinion.
I seen a couple of videos out there already. Its a great PP but I’m bias because I really like and mostly used the ML Profind 35. Its the only one out with iron audio that i know of. I heard Nokta has one in the works. The 40 is more stable, has a much needed retune feature now and has about 1/2 -3/4 inch extra depth than the 35 on a US quarter.
Hey mike, love your videos so down to earth and informative. I run the nox 800 and i also have the legend and was wondering about is it worth getting the manticore? Have they worked all the bugs out? Thanks. Greg.
Hey Greg! I really like the Manticore. It has allot more user control with the ferrous limits. If you decide to upgrade from the 800/legend the Manticore would be a great choice. Currently i use the Manticore for general hunting (really like the wide vdi spread) and the D2 for relic hunting as a dig/don’t dig 2 tone machine.
Great hunt, and anxiously awaiting the 8” coil when it arrives. Sorry if I missed it, but have you installed the stabiliser software on your Manticore? I’ve seen mixed results and varying opinions about its effectiveness. I’ve updated mine, but have only tested it once due to our conditions being so hot and dry. Thank you for your channel! good luck and happy hunting
Hi, yes i have the new update and really like the stabilizer. Just use it when you need it. Old relic sites can be loaded with nails and it does a great job at knocking them out and helping you focus on the non ferrous goodies 👍
Great hunt Mike, smart to stay outta the woods and mosquitoes! Does Minelab sell the Manticore with the 8 inch coil on it? Have you done a separation test on the 8 incher yet? Thanks
Hey Jay, yea ticks are bad this year as well. I dont think they are offering an 8” package yet. I have messed with the 8” some but not put it through a separation video yet.
Ya man, I got Lyme again this year. No issues, antibiotics fixed me up. It will be interested to what you think about the Manticore as a relic machine with a small coil. I know the screen is worthless in heavy iron, I just mean tonally what you think. Thanks again man, have a good one!!@@IffySignals
@@jaystrongbow6111 glad your ok Jay! My husky’s had lyme this year. Kicked both of there asses with side effects. They were on a month long antibiotic. They are just starting to act normal again. They were always tired and lost there appetites. We knew something was up. Luckily caught it in time.

Thx Danny 👍

Thanks Jimmy! Good luck bud. 👍
Great hunt. Thanks for sharing. I'm getting the small coil when it's available. Take care.
Thanks Matt!

Do you think the new 40 pinpointer does better than the Pro-Find 35?
Yes, definitely an upgrade from the 35. Has retune now, very stable when at max and extra depth.. its louder than the 35 which is cool.
Great video! Thanks
Thank you!

Hello there :D
Can you tell me how many targets at the same time Manticore can show on display ? Is it limited number or not ? Ty!
Not limited, will show everything it sees.

Hello, nice video! Question- are those test coils? Where did you get the m8 coil? I’m told they are not out yet?
Hey Steve, they are production coils but were sent to me early on for testing.
