Surprisingly awesome song. The media sullied his reputation enough (living off George Michael all those years in Wham... that he mimed his guitar playing - which I will never believe - and all that) that people didn't even give his singles a chance...such a shame...
Andrew was always an amazing musician!! He deserved to be much more appreciated for everything hes done!! I love his work!! What an amazing song with that glam rock vibe!! Yeahh!!... I guess the average listener was not prepared for such a cool album!!
Simple song and very catchy. The drums do it for me. I love the way Andy is showing his personality in this video. Spirituality is a personality which changes the views of others.
Son of Albert is a bad ass classic that been lost in time Andrew delivers some kick ass rock and roll on this sickly underrated album and why didn't he do more this album rocks
@@CleoKawisha-sy5xtGEORGE HIMSELF showered Andrew with praise, he constantly emphasized how it would've been impossible for him to be George Michael without Andrew appearing in his life. Andrew was the best friend and influence George ever had.
Boils down to fan isolation. Wham! was a pop band with a huge following. But Ridgeley gambled on a rock album instead .. and lost. Cannot fathom the thinking behind Son of Albert except perhaps Andrew really loved rock?
This takes me back... early 90s, I was 16 and living in Sweden with my family and we'd just got MTV Europe at home. I thought this song had been a hit back then, pity it wasn't. Still a great, underrated song.
George should've never fully parted ways with Andrew professionally. Wham should been paused for some years, and revisited from time to time. Andrew was a friend of gold, George wouldn't have ended like that. So tragic.
This is a brilliant song and a brilliant video! Andrew looks so nice in his glasses, and also, very strangely, he looks a little like Ade Edmonston when he wears them! I love the way he winks at the end, and he's still got his cheeky Wham! grin. What a great guy.
Careless Whisper Michael explained in his autobiography, Bare, that he conceptualized "Careless Whisper" based on events from his childhood. Michael wrote, "I was on my way to DJ at the Bel Air when I wrote 'Careless Whisper'. I have always written on buses, trains and in cars. It always happens on journeys ... With 'Careless Whisper' I remember exactly where it first came to me, where I came up with the sax line ... I remember I was handing the money over to the guy on the bus and I got this line, the sax line ... I wrote it totally in my head. I worked on it for about three months in my head. The whole idea of "Careless Whisper" was the first girl finding out about the second - which she never did. But I started another relationship with a girl called Alexis without finishing the one with Jane. It all got a bit complicated. Jane found out about her and got rid of me ... The whole time I thought I was being cool, being this two-timer, but there really wasn't that much emotion involved. I did feel guilty about the first girl - and I have seen her since - and the idea of the song was about her. "Careless Whisper" was us dancing, because we danced a lot, and the idea was - we are dancing ... but she knows ... and it's finished. Andrew Ridgeley came up with the chord sequence on his Fender Telecaster he had received for his 18th birthday. They continued to work together on the music and lyrics both, at Michael's house in Radlett, and Shirlie Holliman's aunt's basement flat in Peckham, where Ridgeley was living. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Careless_Whisper

It shouldn't have bombed! I've always liked Andrew, I like his voice and his style of music. Just because he wasn't George doesn't mean he wasn't good. I think he did good. He has had and still has a great life. George is a ticking time bomb whenever there is a public toilet in the vicinity. I think they are both talented, in a music sense.
It's not a bad song. He should have released it anonymously in the same way Donny Osmond released "Soldier of Love". For a guy who had limited experience as a singer it's a pretty solid effort...Motley Crue-ish

Here she comes, walking down the street
Can you see those hips swinging to the beat
Oh, love, she's all curves and thrust, smooth thighs
Brown eyes, silk and lust
Come a little closer, come on over here
Girl, I gotta hold ya, don't ya disappear
She excites me, she ignites me, and she's hotter than a rocket on the Fourth of July
Come on try me, put it by me, 'cos I gotta make a move to
Stop you walking on by
She wears a red dress, sextress, scarlet lips I wanna kiss
She got some first class long legs, it's a sin and that's my thing
Here she comes, cotton candy treat, gonna rock this hot sticky sugar sweet
Oh love, garter belts and lace sex simmers, sweat shimmers on her face

Come on, get it pumpin', give me all you got
She excites me, she ignites me, and she's hotter than a rocket on the Fourth of July
Come on try me, put it by me, 'cos I gotta make a move to
Stop you walking on by
She wears a red dress, sextress, scarlet lips I wanna kiss
She got some first class long legs, it's a sin and that's my thing
She wears a red dress, sextress, scarlet lips I wanna kiss
She got some first class long legs, it's a sin and that's my thing
Sexual favours fantasies
Carnal pleasures ecstasies
Girls, far more than I could please
