This man knows what he is talking about, and he obviously understands gin. Tanqueray is the king among gin brands.
Thanks Per Amundsson!
Glad you agree and welcome to my channel!! 😊👍
Glad you agree Lone Wolf!
Have you tried Lone Wolf gin??
Think it would be right up your street! 🐺 😊
I have started working on a video about how to make the perfect Dry Martini with Tanqueray, but i am not sure i am going to publish it. I have to think this over a little more.
Per Amundsson
Go for it! You can always take it down and re-film it if you’re not happy. 👍😊
@@nononsensegindrinking5152 Thanks for the advice. I eventually decided to edit and publish it anyway.
Tanqueray was the very first bottle of liquor I ever owned. I got it as a grab bag gift well before I was 21. Tanqueray will always have a soft spot in my heart.
I have been drinking Tanqueray gin from the early 1980s,it is now 2019,so that is a very long time,to me it IS the best gin on the market, thanx for the video, cheers.
Eric Ball
I bow down to your superior gin experience Eric! 👍😊
im new to gin got a bottle of tanguroy misspelled lol it is soo piney smelling im surprised
Mr. Bobby Freeman, I love this channel!!! Your positive attitude is the best. Wonderful content sir!
Just discovered this channel and have been trying different gins for martinis. Love your reviews, thank you!!

Thanks very much for your lovely comment. Glad you’re enjoying my videos and welcome to my channel! Do let me know if you have any recommendations for me to review! 👍🥤🍸
You just saved my day m8 i love your personality
Bobby, I'm sipping a Tanqeray Martini with dinner right now, and it is wonderful! The Dolin Dry adds to it brilliantly. Just heard you give the price as $31.00 American. I bought 750 ml. today for $23.00 in Louisville, KY, a Bourbon town. Cheers, my friend!
I am 74 years old, and I have only two memories related to gin: 1. Years ago, a bunch of us teenagers acquired a bottle of Tanqueray. There was a consensus that the stuff smelled like petrol. I don't recall if we dared taste it. 2. At some unknown time in the past, I tried gin, and concluded that it was like eating flowers of some sort. It had a pleasant aroma, but it did not come across as something that should be consumed by humans. Cows, sheep and goats, maybe yes. Now, I am stocking up a home collection of spirits that includes Tanqueray 10, but i have not yet tried it, so we shall see. I wonder if it will end up like my experience with tea and milk, which I tried once as a very young lad and hated it, and tried it the second time decades later, and still hated it. There is not going to be a third chance.
Oh, I started to watch your videos to help my purchases, but I keep on watching them because I enjoy your humorous performance.
I drank a quarter cup if this Friday night, theb proceeded to down 7 beers , to wash it all down a big ass beer mug .I'm never drinking again .
I would do that every night if I didn't have to worry about waking up hungover, except I could reverse the order...it would be 7 gins and a beer.
That’s the problem you added beer to it…. Without beer and more gin your probably be ok
So 1 year on, have you drank again lol?
Yeah any body who considers themselves a drinker knows mixing drinks is fucked
@@daggermouth4695 No not that again , ever haha just some beers here and there lol and a bowl 😂
This was the first gin I ever had, got it on sale for like $20. It probably accounts for about half of the gin I see in the liquor stores where I live.
Champion. Great reviews.
Richard Gentry
Thanks Richard ! 👍
Got this gin when I couldn’t afford Aviation and it’s actually pretty much the same taste, I love it!
Just bought this one yesterday, had to have it in my collection 😍 lovely review!!
thanks LienVegasVlogs! let me know what you think!!
I work at a bar and I got interested in this gin just because of how great it smells when you open the bottle. Usually I’m a rum or whiskey guy but I’m going to give it a try.
So, thoughts?
How is it
I’m gonna pick this up. The only Gin I’ve had is Roku Gin and that gin smells lovely so I’m curious to see about this one.
Tanqueray my absolute favourite Gin drinking a G&T now its expensive but worth every dollar 😊🍸 its so nice to see someone with class and good taste enjoy in my opinion the Rolls Royce of gin
Thanks 87654321j
Glad you agree! 😊
When you say £30 threshold, is that for 1L or 70cl? Thanks! Love Tanqueray. Classic straight to the point, nothing fancy, cheers
Hey! Tanqueray and Gordons are the same company so they are manufactured in the same factory and using the same bottle! Crazy how much you can love T and hate G with the same company haha! Love the review
Thanks Charlotte 😊
My favorite!
My summer drink of choice. Tanqueray and tonic.
Just started to get into gin. Started with Beefeater now trying the Tangerauy. Love your channel
Thanks Danny and welcome to my channel my friend! Glad to have you onboard! 😊👍
@@nononsensegindrinking5152 thank you so much! By the way a gentleman working at the local liquor store told me Beefeater is being phased out when I asked if they have any available. Is this true? Because I’m not much a drinker and am very picky so gin and tonic is my go to drink and beefeater was my first gin and fell in love with it.watching all your videos has really opened my eyes to the wonderful world of gin
I very haven’t heard that Danny but I will definitely look into it. I’d be very surprised to be honest
@@nononsensegindrinking5152 that’s what I figured. I was nervous! He probably didn’t have it and just bullshitted me
@@Danfromoverthere
Probably! 😂😂
its also the first real good gin I had and I still remember that moment. tasting it without juice after drinking idk how much of the cheap kind xD good times
Hi! Would love to see a review on the Tanqueray Malacca Gin :)
Thanks Renae Homer !
I’ve not heard of that one but I will add it to the list! 👍😊
I usually drink the good old Beefeater, but I feel tempted to try this one... What's your favorite? Cheers from Norway! You've earned a new subscriber!
Hi Noren!
Welcome to my channel my friend! Glad to have you onboard! It’s very difficult to pick a favourite but beefeater is definitely up there! Check out my beefeater vs Tanqueray video 👍👍😊😊
I always drink beefeater but tanqueray is damm good
I brought and tried Tesco own London Gin ( small bottle) . It was horrid and I ended up using it to clean my wheely bin 😁
You should do a review on the rarer Tanqueray Old Tom Gin!! :D it’s expensive but I’m willing to bet it’s just as good!! :D
That American accent was honestly a pretty good Phillip DeFranco impression
😂😂😂hopefully all his subscribers will agree and subscribe to me too!!
also aren't certain colors of glasses used for certain alcohols as it can even affect its taste? idk im talking out of my ass honestly but if anyone reads this and knows, please lmk!
I think I'm gonna try it. I usually get Seagram's Extra Dry and its about half the price of Tanqueray. From the sounds of it the extra price may be worth it.
My man. Thanks for reviewing the official drink for #TheLoyals
The Loyals
My pleasure! 😊👍
cheers🍻
How about the Tanqueray malacca?
Snoop brought me here
How?
@@lorenzmuller3542 bruh this is 8 months old
SMH... snoop has a song called “Gin and Juice”
Lol. That’s how I started on Gin! 1993 or so. Now I’m 50 and still drink my gin! But no juice.
@@Qpoueoor It tastes good straight to me
Is this gin heavy on licorice? I don't like licorice and I heard it's unhealthy, I wonder if drinking too much gin can lead to side effects caused by licorice...
You help me so much I'm from brazil and I didn't who do this drink
Thanks Jean! Very glad to help! 😊
Not sure if you have already but have you done a review of all the tanquerays, I love tanqueray, they’re my top tier especially no 10, but yeah if your still doing reviews could you do one with all tanquerays
I am finding it very difficult to pour from the Tanqueray bottle.
Rip Amy, in this one lord Vold.
Now that Beefeater has lowered its ABV to 40 in the US, Tanqueray is the King now at 47.3
I checked the prices today, Star of Bombay and Tanqueray are in the same range of gins by price and while I'm sure Tanqueray is better than Star of Bombay but the difference cant possibly be this much. I had Star of Bombay last week and it was quiet smooth and pleasing. I enjoyed it. Makes you feel life's good. And I'm not even contesting that Tanqueray might be better but the reactions on this channel are really overdone. I will have Tanqueray some time soon and will keep this in mind. I'm open to it being better but this just seems absurd.
I am going to buy me a bottle of tanguray so I can enjoy it 😁👍👍
Ah Gin and Tonedpig - that classic combo...
I must say I hate Bombay the blue one but the white label one isn't as bad still not grate, my personal favourite is tanguray love the stuff I bet I would bleed tanguray lol
Im.puffing on blunts sipping on tangeray. Like that old Dr dre and the Dogg pound song
Just started drinking Gin after a looong stint with scotch. You seem to prefer more muted Gins. To me, Bombay Sapphire seems to be a few times stronger than the Tanqueray and maybe a 100 times stronger than the Beefeater. To me however, stronger the smell the better, if you like the refreshing juniper, citrus notes. What do you say?
Also, just wondering if there are any Gins with a malt base. Might add significantly to the mouth feel.
I do gin in summer and scotch in winter.
@@MrWhitmen1981 I do scotch all the time. Gin just to "cleanse" the palate.
Sipping on gin and juice😂
Later on that day
My homie Dr. Dre came through with a gang of Tanqueray
Great video, what do you prefer between Tanqueray and Beefeater?
Thanks Cunin Cohen
That’s a really tough one but I think if I was forced to choose then I would probably go for the beefeater 👍
No Nonsense Gin Drinking This is really helpful, thanks a lot!
The natural choice now tanqueray 10 you won't be disappointed!
I concur, Tanqueray #10 is similar in flavour but just more smooth and up-market.
Thanks Joimachine,
It’s next in the list! 👍
Adam M. Daly
hey Adam,
Thanks for the advice, I’m on it! 👍
I like the green bottle
Is this stuff supposed to sell like poison. Do all these gins smell like this
Haha I love your reaction to my frist love lmfao it's only £18 up north u no lol
English Gent
It’s 26 dollars in the U.S. Arizona
Tanq and tonic. Ask for it by name.
I do.
In Italy it costs 12 euros
In italy is a bottle for 11€
Fantastic gin
tanqueray with brisk iced tea
Holy fuck. Why have I never thought of this.
My first decent gin. 😍
Surprised you didn’t pick up on the heavy liquorice finish on this. I only drink spirits neat so many that’s why you didn’t pick up on it.
Hey Space Monkey
Thanks for your comment. Good point. I guess it’s because liquorice is a fairly standard botanical in most gins that I don’t always feel the need to mention it. I can’t take meet spirits unfortunately, I’m not hardcore like you! 😊👍👍
No Nonsense Gin Reviews Im an experienced whisky drinker, just started tasting gin to broaden my horizons. I sip the gin neat like a good single malt. The liquorice is definitely a hell of a lot more prominent in this one than any other gin Iv tasted.
Space Monkey
I was speaking to a gin specialist yesterday and she drinks it neat but with a tiny bit of water as she says that it releases the aromas and flavours. Maybe give that a try? Also, if you enjoy that liquorice taste then see if you can find an Old Tom style of gin like Hayman’s. It’s even stronger than the Tanqueray and is a very traditional style of gin 👍
I agree Tanqueray does have a definite liquorice flavor. I also primarily drink spirits neat. I actually hate liquorice flavored candies and such, but with with gin (and with Tanqueray in particular) it fits very nicely for me.
How have you not mentioned the taste of juniper being perfectly on point, go lightly chew on a juniper Berry and you'll see what I mean
Have you reviewed Gilbey's Gin
Hey William Litu
Not yet but I will add it to the list ! 👍
@@nononsensegindrinking5152 nice I can't wait because it is a """quality""" budget London dry Gin available in Keny
I cant wait
Is it better then Bombay sapphire?
Devon35
Everything is better than Bombay Sapphire! 😂😂
@@nononsensegindrinking5152 I tried both, I agree. I love this gin.
@@nononsensegindrinking5152 Also Gordon? ;)
Don't worry I don't care about the rips. That shirt needs to stay bro. Besides we all drunk as hell watching and probably won't notice
Glad you agree Lemonchino Reviews! The shirt is staying! 😂😂
My Favorite Alcohol Lol TANQUERAY
Old Spice aftershave
Not even close.
Tanq 10 was the first Tanq I tried and it's still 3/4 full in the cupboard. Didn't like the barky/tea flavour and it's put me off trying anymore Tanq dry. It will be served to guests/drunks as many do like it, not for me.
I didn't think it was bad, but I didn't see any difference to justify it being so much more expensive than regular Tanq.
@@marcushoward6560 Agree, I just recently tried the standard Tanqueray and found it really good for the price over the T10.
Gin and lemonade anyone ?
Only an alcoholic will start talking to his liquor. HAHA
Lmao, right?
Its the most vile foul tasting thing ever when drank straight, I literally spit some out. Taste good when i put some in cranberry juice though.
This tasted the way a can of raid smells and I'm kind of not down with that
Hey kwahzz McDonald!
That’s a very interesting point of view! At least you will have something to keep the flies away!! 😂
25 quid for a bottle? Fuck me mate. It's only 18 euros here in Germany
AGermanGoose
Wow! You guys are very lucky! 😊👍
Tastes like Pine-Sol.
Yeah but realistically, isn't that was you want.
Fresh, fruity, tastes of juniper
@@daggermouth4695 Tanqueray is the one gin with no redeeming qualities. The pine sol might actually taste better, but we'll never know, because death.
@@charlessmith3758 haha true, then I guess your right actually now I think about it, it is pine-sol without the deadly chems haha
@@charlessmith3758 having said that " no redeeming qualities" should be the catchphrase of gordons gin, have u tasted that. Im drinking it rn and it's fuckin feral
@@daggermouth4695 try Boodles London Dry Gin. It's priced well, 45% apv, Winston Churchill's gin, so you know it's good. No citrus flavors, because you add your own of course.
Tastes horrible
Too much fricken intro!!! And talking!!
Thanks for the feedback Andrew. I did talk quite a bit in my earlier videos and it’s something I’ve addressed more recently. I shall have a look at this one again and see if I can trim it even more to ged rid of some of the waffle.
It’s always good to hear where I’m going wrong as well as positive things so once again thanks for taking the time to comment. I hope I haven’t lost you and I look forward to more contributions in the future.
All the best
