My first gin drinking was Gilbey's lemon gin and Fresca, in the 1970s. Shortly thereafter, I was introduced to Beefeater, and I never looked back. I remember my mother drinking Gordon's.

Beefeater is a workhorse for me at my bar. Haven't had Gordon's in a long time. Maybe we should do a video on it??

I have a friend who loves Beefeater so much he got a tattoo of all the botanicals that are in Beefeater.

First time drinking gin was Bombay straight out the bottle in college. That was a good night. Gin became my favorite spirit after.

Thanks for the comparison.. I havnt had normal Tanq in a long while but I use the other two and Tanq 10 quite often. I recently found a Leopold's Navy Strength which is very nice.

Beefeater is the only gin I drink at this point. I also have a weak spot of Gordon’s when the gin is not the feature.

I think Bombay Sapphire tends to go better with lemon and Tanqueray, Gordon’s, and Beefeater tend to go better with lime. Don’t know if there’s any scientific evidence behind that theory, but it’s been my experience.

Im a big gin drinker and have been for decades. My opinion: all three are good and really amongst the few gins worth a damn. Beefeater is best for a little kick in a g&t while the other two are too flat for it, but I prefer sapphire for an extra dry martini.

The Bombay you chose is much stronger ABV. You should have mentioned that. OG Bombay is better and would have made an apples-to-apples comparison.

@AlchemixBar I wasn't a fan at the time, and no, I haven't drank it since! Lol, we were in Las Vegas, Nevada, and I had the worst hangover of my life on bombay! It goes without saying that I've learned to drink in moderation, and as the years went on, I've discovered I'm a tequila and rum kind of guy

I am very excited to try some artesianal mezcals that you otherwise wouldn't find unless you're in mexico! Also, let me just compliment you on your response time. I was recently gifted a bottle of New Amsterdam Original. I found it heavy on the ethanol, and it set my mouth and chest on fire. Being a London Dry drinker, Beefeater is my go-to, I purchased a bottle of New Amsterdam London Dry. Again, heavy ethanol nose and taste, and heavy on the burn. I am blending the two New Amsterdam products, and mixing with tonic water and lime, just to get to the bottom of these bottles. To each, their own, I guess. Cheers.
