- The Facts of Life is a 1960 romantic comedy starring Bob Hope and Lucille Ball as married people who have an affair. Written, directed and produced by longtime Hope associates Melvin Frank and Norman Panama, the film is more serious than many other contemporary Hope vehicles. The film features an opening animated title sequence created by Saul Bass.
The film was nominated for five Academy Awards, winning one for Best Costume Design (for Edith Head and Edward Stevenson). Lucille Ball was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress - Comedy.
I love Bob Hope and Lucille Ball they were wonderful together wish they still were alive to make movies together.
What a cute movie.
Bob Hope and Lucille Ball worked very well together. They really could of made a good sitcom playing a married couple, however watching this little love story of them was a real treat. They had some great chemistry, wow~
1960 was the year that Lucy got divorced, so I can't help but think of what she could of been feeling during the filming of this movie due to the subject matter.
This is a very good movie, I'm glad I got to watch it.
WOW...☆☆*
With Mike Mazurki very prolific supporting actor.

Because it starred great comedians Bob Hope and Lucille Ball, I assumed this movie would be of rip roaring humor, but it wasn't, and I was disappointed. Some parts were funny, like when Bob was driving around looking for the motel he and Lucy were having an affair at, but Lucy had left before he found it. Lucy's husband in it was a jackass, obsessed with gambling, and always losing. There wasn't much plot to it.
You missed the plot.
Are there any Marlin left. I don’t like that scene
