Spray drops of water on the deck -Fix cracks -clean with deck cleaner -then diluted cleaner - use good water based finish -avoid applying at full sunlight -use good painting brushes and rolls -two coats recommended

hey Crypto use a sikkens product, its semi transparent i suppose & they have some nice colour stains to choose from
Semi transparent is the only way to go, at least for as long as your wood is still in good shape. Use solid stain in its last years.
