    Great video on this new chassis, it's nice to read the positive review and that it beat the track record.

    I love the cut ins going over the features between runs, it's very cool. This chassis is very enticing, it looks way better than the old rally m-chassis tamiya had.

      Thanks, ya, it's WAAAAAY better than the MF-01X. More like a real Rally car now.

      Thanks. Just got a little asphalt-track action as well - people are going to want to know how this thing works on an actual track! Coming soon.

    Super fun car everyone, having alot of the same traits as the XV-02. More info on it coming soon!

      We actually have a top-down view of the track in our Shorts category. You should check that out, however it's with the MF-01X (same body though).

    Awesome video, just finished my Mf 01 chassis and did a trial run. Not really satisfied, but this chassis is more what i´m looking for. So far it looks promising.

      We liked our MF-01X but it did take some 'doing' to get it there. However, after the first outing with this car, the MF-01X is now a shelf queen. LOL

    Looks promising, and I'm loving those mud guards. Easy mounting point for those sweet, sweet mud flaps ❤

      LOL, we thought the same thing for mud guards :)

    That chassis looks so Awesome!! Especially with those mud guards and dirt cover. The tires look extra wide. I wish they would make wider tires more available. 32mm rally and Onroad. I know they have the slicks for the Porsche. But hard to find. Wider rally tires would be great. It looks like I handles awesome too!!👍👍

    • @Competitionx
      @Competitionx  5 месяцев назад

      Yup, handles quite well for an out-of-the-box setup. It's going to need a bit of tweaking but not much!

    With the XV-01 they also made a track version. kind of hoping they would do the same with this one, would seem to be a fun version.

    • @Competitionx
      @Competitionx  5 месяцев назад

      Ya, they've done that for the XV-02 as well - an onroad version - so we're sure they'll be making a version for the XM-01 as well.

    • @Papinak2
      @Papinak2 4 месяца назад +1

      It already has hubs with high and low position. Low position, on road tires, stiffer suspension setup and removed covers will make an on road version :)

    • @Competitionx
      @Competitionx  Месяц назад

      Yup, we already tested it at our local onroad track. Lowered with slicks - it's a fun little car!

    Nice layout on the track, but way to narrow for my tt02 gazoo rally car, thanks for the video

    • @Competitionx
      @Competitionx  5 месяцев назад

      You'd be surprised. We run the XV-02 and TT-02 in different (faster) classes and they work just fine. There's a couple other videos on the channel that show our TT-02 running - you should check them out!

    I have the XV-02 Pro. I am trying to figure out if I want this kit. Can you show a side-by-side comparison for size and talk about how many parts are shared with the XV-01/02 cars? My hesitation is how many additional spare parts I would need to carry with me to run both cars. That said I would love to run this with a Mini Cooper Monte Carlo Rally body.

    • @Papinak2
      @Papinak2 5 месяцев назад +1

      From what I've seen in the unboxing video and marketing materials, drivetrain, steering and bottom part of gearboxes with suspension mounts are directly shared. Suspension is entirely different, using new arms, shorter swing shafts and M-07 (?) derived uprights. It also looks like it has shorter dampers - damper mounts are different, as well as skidplates under gearboxes.
      Overall, the chassis is about 15mm narrower, with 210/225/239mm wheelbase options.

    How does this compare to the associated apex 2 with the rally upgrade kit in you opinion. New
    Kyosho Fazer Rally looks good but no centre diff option makes me go for the Apex 2 rally upgrade.

    • @Competitionx
      @Competitionx  5 месяцев назад

      Well, they're 2 different cars - the Apex2 is 1/10, the XM-01 Pro is M-scale. However, we've run the Apex2 and at it's best we were only to get it into the high 1:30's, so this car is already some 5 seconds faster - and it was the first time out! We're pretty certain with some additional tuning we might be able to get it a few seconds faster!

    • @chrisvda7277
      @chrisvda7277 5 месяцев назад +1

      @Competitionx I'd love to see what you would get with the Rally Upgrade kit for the Apex 2. Would be interesting to see the difference.

    • @Competitionx
      @Competitionx  5 месяцев назад

      Ya, they gave me a car to run but can't seem to get the Rally conversion yet. Interested to see how much different it makes the car.
