To makes Aventail passport wallet works as wallet, the first thing I do is to place the passport horizontally.
You see, the passport is tall and narrow.

The wallet is less then 6mm thick, and weight less than 40 grams, which is comparable to a paper wallet. But it still retains the beauty of a leather one.
The wallet has vertical pocket layout. When your wallet is loose in a bag, you don’t have to worry about cards falling out of your wallet.
This wallet has 4 card and 2 cash pockets. There are 3 card slots here and 1 card slot inside here. Why the inside card slot has such a strange position?
First, it’s designed to spread out the thickness of the wallet. When you stuff 3 cards outside and 2 cards inside, they’ll look like this, which makes the wallet as thin as possible.
Second, the inside card slot is placed in a corner. Human has an ability to find out corners of things, even in total darkness.
So, I can easily put cards into this pocket without even seeing it. This card slot can accommodate quite a few cards, but two cards is the best. In total you have 5 cards, 3 outside and 2 inside, which will serve most people’s realistic needs. You don’t need to carry every membership cards and discount cards that you have all the time.
The logo tag is discreet. Its location is chosen so that when you put cash it, it will not make the wallet thicker than necessary.
And RFID protection, actually it’s a bit of a controversial topic. You can choose your wallet to have RFID protection or not. With RFID protection, your cards cannot be scanned, which is good for security.
But on the other hand, you can’t use your wallet to swipe RFID door. You have to take the door card out, which can be inconvenient. And RFID related crimes are very rare now. So, you can choose to have RFID protection or not. Peace of mind or convenience, your choice.
