I kind of bing-watched all of your videos and I have to say your narrative skills are amazing, the way you contextualize and root the biblical episodes into larger near eastern traditions is delight to savor. It's kind a sad that you stopped making these videos but am grateful for whatever stuff you've put out there. Cheers!!

it would help if parts of series were indicated in the title, with a consistent indicator [eg - biblical law: part 3]

Thank you for an excellent series. Given the Assyrian dominance of Israel and Judah during the 8th and 7th centuries BCE, is it more likely that the vassal treaty of Esarhaddon would have been shaped the Biblical covenant?

Curses and blessings offers a cultural framework for the book of Job.
People upheld their contract with their lord but at times were cursed instead of blessed.
The writer creates a story to spin the narrative, from a deal to "you are pleasing the devil if you complain".

Any book that says a donkey can talk, is fantasy.

      True.
Also any book with a God who gives a hoot about humans and human behavior above anything else is no doubt also a fantasy.

How about a "loving father", who is the father of evil? Fantasy.

      Yep.
Or a God who needs to kill his son (who is really himself) in order to appease himself with a sadistic blood ritual all because he's offended that his humans didn't love him enough.

This morning I wish you and your followers, subscribers, etc the grace and mercy of the only true living creator God of the universe.
As utilize the marvelously complex vessels called BODIES to engage the limited process of thought which God allows graciously and comment which God mercifully allows you to use His created vessels to post doubts about Him rather than posting your praises of gratitude.
Give thought to the detail and intricate design of your existence and the habitation of your existence and repent. Pray for His understanding and reject your very limited understanding.

I have given it some thought and God was an idiot if he thought connecting our airway to the same pipe as food was a smart design choice.

The Hebrew & New Testament seems to be plagiarized 🤔
