I've learned a lot about inshore fishing from watching your videos! When I first started watching, I didn't know a sheepshead from a black drum, by watching you, you've taught me by example and I truly appreciate your videos! God Bless and keep you safe! Keep the videos coming!👍
I always applaud your conservation on the big boys. Definitely shows your passion for this sport and the quality of life for the fish! Hats off to ya! As always great video! Hope to bump into ya one day...
Quite a shakedown cruise. Fingers crossed. Since we can't see them on-screen, it's always helpful when you mention the tides, currents, and water temperature.
Thanks to your videos I did this exact same thing a few days ago and got my PB sheep here in fl. Been following your channel since I was stationed in ct where I learned to fish striper from you also. Keep them coming!
We used to go to the jetty’s off Fernandina Beach Fla and throw a home anchor made of a large red brick just to get snagged tightly in the rocks close. Then with large cane poles fish with fiddler crabs. Could barely feel them bite cracking the shell but insane fun man. Great video as always. Blessings.
I always catch fish with the same taste as your fishing but the Arabian Gulf sea in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia your clips are real and beautiful thank you for this channel
Looking forward to that Oct catch/clean/cook again. It’s been awhile. I will agree, there’s not too many things out there that taste better than that octopus. Stay safe and God Bless Joe in MS
I was just down the direction. Caught a bunch of flounder surf fishing. Seems like every time I vacation in NC I always have my firsts. Like first Blue fish from a pier, first Spanish from a pier, fish blue from surf, first Spanish from the surf. I’ve caught puppy drum, croaker, striper, Spanish, spot, kingfish(whiting), blues, grouper, flounder, oyster cracker, puffer, spade fish, sheepshead, pompano, and needle fish all from the NC coast without a boat.
It's pretty inspiring seeing what you release. Commendable, my man. Those are solid! They used to be bycatch (blacks and togs, too) for us trout fishing with live shrimp. You do make me nervous for you plunking them in your lap! Pain... I'll be looking for you out there. I'm one of the boaters who eases up for the yaks. ✌️
Octopus tastes great! I saw an episode of Diners Drive ins and Dives and Guy Fieri had grilled Octopus and he said it was one of the best tasting seafood ever!
Much respect for your catch and release mentality. I probably let 80% of the fish go that I catch down here in the lower Tampa Bay/Sarasota bay area and I mostly keep trout and give it to my parents! Lol they love fishing days!
My favorite salt water fish to catch and eat. I used fiddler crabs for bait. Certain times of the year, the meat tastes like crab, real sweet flavor. Used to fish them when I lived in Galveston, TX. off the docks, jetty and oyster reefs. yeah, your right, smaller is perfect for eating, bigger tho lots of parasites.
Do you like your humminbird unit or your lowrance unit better as far as maps, sonar and imaging. Awesome sheepshead and I have never tried octopus but always wanted to since your first catch and cook.
Octopus is one of my favorite foods. Always love going to a place in West Bergen for it when I would go to trade shows in Seacaucus. Don't get a lot of it here in Wisconsin.
Enjoy your videos. I'm from the Pacific Northwest only really have salmon and steelhead up here. I would really like to taste some of the fish you guys catch.
Bottom sweepers are the truth ! Just placed my order for out here in The treasure coast to see if I can snatch me up some sheepee’s , Good job out there you killing it bro!
Your videos are very interesting to me, keep it up. Some techniques are very similar to what we do in Australia but your bait and fish species are so different. It’s fascinating for me to watch. I also find your opinions on equipment honest too, which is nice when I am looking my first kayak and new gear to try.
Im from NC and fish at the beach anytime there but never have much of luck. Anywhere you could tell me to try fishing to make it a tad more fruitful. I have a small boat that should be okay for the sounds. Just no clue where to go, although I usually hit the obx!!!! Thanks and always great vids!
Hey buddy, long time viewer but this is my first post. Just wondering, do you still use or recommend the Dark Matter rod that you reviewed years ago? It's crazy seeing the adjustments you've made to your techniques since your move down south. Good health to you and yours.
Nice video my friend and beautifull fishes there, but you kil several crabs in order to release a fish ? I could understand if you keep the fish to eat it.
Monster Sheepshead, that's awesome. How do you like the spinnfisher's? I keep hearing the older editions are better but man I really looking into get one. Keep up the great fishing.
That bus of a sheepshead has a similar jaw and teeth to the brusher and natal stumpnose that we get here In south Africa marble teeth with alot of bite force had a 3/0 rock point crushed by a stumpnose 2 nights ago took on a whole rock crab ....
Elias, Show us the Jumbos! Wow look at all the time lost getting back on that seem. Miss spotlock yet? Any leg cramps? Your slaying the Sheepheads. Hope you get some flounder. Stay safe from Pennsylvania. Prayers sent for Meg,Elias. God bless
This is not the first time that i've seen someone mentioning prayers for Meg, I watch every single Elias video but i must have missed something where this was mentioned? May I ask whats the problem, unless you want it kept personal which I get.
Hi, Glad I found your channel - very very beautiful !!! I wanted to ask if the crabs do not sting you and do you put them alive on the hook ? Thanks in advance

How big was your sheepshead?

I've fished there back in the 90s 😉
Lol the classic sheep tail splash cracked me up...every time

You’ve started my weekend out right!! Heading to our jetties here in Charleston tomorrow morning! Keep grinding brother!

Sheepshead don’t freeze that great. Working through some flounder, so no biggie.
Enjoy your videos. Your very knowledgeable about what you do.
Grilled octopus 😋 all time favorite. Great vid as usual Elias always a pleasure thanks again for taking us along
Early for a banging vid. I've only fished saltwater once, because I'm from Tennessee, but flounder and specks are on my bucket list
Same freshwater brother! Just got a perch dinner today. I wanna catch a big ol tuna someday 😋
Octopus tastes great! I saw an episode of Diners Drive ins and Dives and Guy Fieri had grilled Octopus and he said it was one of the best tasting seafood ever!
My favorite from here.

Hello from Atlantic City,N.J. Great Video Elias as always! I really look forward to watching your video's Thank You!!
That last Sheepshead was a Monster.
Man those sheepies put up a fight. That's next on the list!
Making me nervous unhooking it lol
Do you catch octopus often? They sure are delicious.
The new yak is dope! Got that storm trooper vibe going on.
Wouldn't it be boat-trooper though? Lol
Hey Elias, nice size sheepshead and octopus. Take care and be safe.
Oh man,
Octo is the best.
I live right here where the Pacific Red Giant exists.
They're delicious!
Thanks Eli 💚
Like your show. Thanks for catch and release.
My fav form of fishing bait for decades in Fl .
I don't think I could ever kill an octopus... something about them man. Super intelligent
Watched a show that said they would have evolved passed humans if their life spans weren’t so short. I feel the same way, just an amazing creature.
I like in Charleston SC I caught a sheepshead last Saturday that was 25 inches long and 11 lbs fist one I ever caught
Those first two sheephead were tanks! I agree they are very under appreciated as a game fish and eat as good as snapper as well.
There my favorite fish to eat

Structure! Thanks for the fun video!
Nice fish
Your videos are captivating!
Awesome catch! I never get that level of fish on my yak. Would be cool to fish with you sometime. Btw you should do a catch and cook again.
Great video!! Sheepshead. That fish looks cool!
I don’t think I’ve ever been this early to one of your videos. I do love everyone I watch.
Great fishing Elias!
Bottom sweepers are the truth ! Just placed my order for out here in The treasure coast to see if I can snatch me up some sheepee’s , Good job out there you killing it bro!
Favorite youtuber by far thanks for the great vid bro
If you ever come down to south ga/ north Florida I’d love to go kayak fishing with you.

Man you are great fishing!!! I like to fish to but not nearly as good as you. I enjoy your video thanks!!!
Are you kidding me, you fish for like 3 hours And ketch more fish than most people Do in a year. Wow I'm impressed.
Love your videos man, would be killer to fish with you one day.
I have the same kayak and color! I love it man. Super stealthy
Love to see you catch them sheeps
What kind of fish finder would you recommend? And what price range? I have a small boat little bigger than a kayak.
do you prefer the spin fishers over the Stradics....?
Beautiful video Champion Well done, I subscribed to your channel
Great vid...very informative, thanks for sharing man.... definitely going out for sheepshead labor day weekend....the jetties in Jacksonville...FOSHO
Your videos are very interesting to me, keep it up.

I am a New Jersey angler. If I get the chance, I'd like to try kayak fishing. It's a little scary...

You make Great vids !
I miss sheepshead fishing
Good vid. Just curious, why do you cut the legs off the crab bait?
As usual a STELLAR job!
What would be a good kayak for a beginner? I've been wanting to get one to do some fresh and salt water fishing here in south Georgia
That was great!! What size of hook do using?
Monster Sheepshead, that's awesome. How do you like the spinnfisher's? I keep hearing the older editions are better but man I really looking into get one.
Keep up the great fishing.
Keep up the great work! I just caught my first Summer Sheep here in North Florida #MilesAwayFishing
Pulpo salad!
Monster Sheepshead!
Great content! Tight lines!
That bus of a sheepshead has a similar jaw and teeth to the brusher and natal stumpnose that we get here In south Africa marble teeth with alot of bite force had a 3/0 rock point crushed by a stumpnose 2 nights ago took on a whole rock crab ....
Miss seeing the hobie!
Great to see you back on the Outback. What rod holders are you using? Do you troll with them at all?
I use bluecrabs for drum & fiddler craps for sheep’s head or mangrove snapper. East coast Florida
When you fish the jetty’s, where do you put in? Wrightsville bridge and paddle over?
Let me know how you prepared the Pulpo and was it soft or very chewy, we prefer soft for salad.
I would love to go catch sheepshead like that. Or red fish. I am just east of you
Do u catch your own mud crabs? If not where are u buying them? I frequent the same area as u.
What does the bottom sweeper jig bite feel like is it a steady pull or a tap tap bite.
Welcome back
Absolutely LOVE me some sheephead sammiches!
pk
The large fish are back, so an enjoyable day on the water (just need it to back to the flounder).
hell yeah man
Yay! Another video! And first comment ;) I used to live next to you in Brooklyn hahaha.
Are you dragging the bottom with the crab?
fish on sir
Do sheephead ever ran up north (long island sound)?
Elias, Show us the Jumbos! Wow look at all the time lost getting back on that seem. Miss spotlock yet?

Wonder if you keep getting the same fish bitten your hook ?
You should think about doing trips with some fans or maybe a kayak guide service.
How do you do this without using a steel leader? They bite through mono and braid like it is soft candy.
Super brother
have you ever got a cramp during your fishing adventures?
Hi, Glad I found your channel - very very beautiful !!!
I wanted to ask if the crabs do not sting you and do you put them alive on the hook ? Thanks in advance
A lot of fishermen dont have an appreciation for how old big fish are
I'm the same way. I throw the big breeders back. Might keep the med. size for fry pan or grill.
Man that spinfisher lasted me 3 weeks on stripers in LI sound not even CC canal lol
What kind of kayak do you use?
When do you keep red drum
is this in new york waters? great vid by the way.
Where you at in NC, I like to try the area out if you you don’t mind letting me know.
