I highly recommend that you watch the video of Mayer performing his song "Gravity" in this same live show in 2007. Mayer plays some of the most soulful guitar you will ever hear. In the middle of the song, he uses a technique for "bending" notes that I have never seen before.
He is a legend, but mostly in the guitar community. He got popular by writing softer stuff for girls but man he can play the blues. I’m in love with his live performances
What do you mean by deepest? lyrics wise? if so, then I would have to disagree, he has much deeper songs lyrically, however in terms of technicality Id agree, Neone is the deepest in that regard with all the bits and pieces you need to master to nail it
It is David Ryan Harris on rhythm guitar and vocal. Check out his intro for slow dancing in a burning room for the sun & moon tour 2017. Amazing! The slide guitarist is Robbie Macintosh. Thanks for a good video ✌️
Your reaction right when he slides into those first two notes of the song, tone, feel. Your reaction made me laugh with joy reminiscing the first time I heard it, just so good! Glad to have stumbled upon your channel!
You should react to more songs from that 2007 L.A. show. Like "Vultures, Gravity, Stop This Train, or I Don't Trust My Self." Or really any of them are good.
Nice Reaction to an amazing song & artist. Check out his newest album (Sob Rock). It has a very 80’s Vibe with a bit of bluesy sound, as many of John Mayers songs do. Wild Blue probably has the most views of all the songs on this album. Check it out. ✌🏼
You stop the video too much. Stopping during the solos. Just let it play for a bit and then tell us your thoughts. Hard to get the flow of the song with you when it's paused so much. Love your passion and enthusiasm.
Great reaction ☺️, you can react John Mayer's gravity in the same live. In my opinion, the solo of this song at this concert is the best I've ever heard.
Welllll I see you got a whole bunch of requests but I promise as a guitarist you will appreciate this one the most: I'm Gonna Find Another You Live In La from the same show! it will be the 6:46 second version with 5 million views! Please react!
This was awesome Shawn! John Mayer is incredible (saw him live a few months ago and even better in person). Some other songs you may enjoy are “Orange Juice” and “Stick Season” by Noah Kahan. Definitely more folksy/Americana vibe. “In case you don’t live forever” and “Older” by Ben Platt. Incredible vocalist. ✌🏼
Great reaction👏🙌🎸🎶. As a guitarist yourself you must listen to an other worldly passionate guitarist that we unfortunately lost 33 years ago. His name is Stevie Ray Vaughan and it was he that John Mayer was inspired by! He set the bar so high that no one has reached it yet. You owe it to yourself and your followers to witness his complete mastery and watch the music simply flow out of him. One of his creations was a song called "Life Without You" performed at the Capitol Theatre 1985. He wrote this song after his good friend Charley suddenly passed way. Charley was a Dallas Tx guitar shop owner and built a beautiful white guitar for him. In this performance he starts with a red guitar, finds it not holding in tune, signals for a switch, changes to that white guitar without missing a beat. A lot of people never even realize it. Then he has to adjust the foot pedals, and adjusts the settings on his amps all while keeping the song going. Once he is dialed in he 🚀🚀🚀🎸🎶‼️💯. It is a beautiful and heartfelt tribute to his friend with extra surprises I am not even mentioning!

8:32 I believe the man you are referring to is Robbie Mcintosh. He is a good session guitarist.
