I'm surprised, but very happy about how many of the younger generations are here and appreciate this music. If we ignore the roots, we get unstable in the march towards the future, and there are some real gems that could only have been created in the past.
I played this song the last time I walked off my school bus senior year and watched it drive away, seeing school finally leave me and I thought about what life has ahead being as mysterious as space. Beautiful yet terrifying, and dark and unknown with bright shining moments like stars in it. Made me feel philosophical 😅
Once you shoot and liberate the orange colored space stingrays, it sure is. I read the comic on Nintendo Power of how Andross used machinery to control the sting rays. And Fox and the team just blast the machines off the stingrays without hurting them. In any way, it's rewarding for freeing the stingrays and then get rewarded with power-ups and shield recharge items.
So i had a dream that i was Lost in Space, in a Space-fighter, and then i got eaten by a Space-whale, and lost into a Bizarre alternate Dimension within it, where i Fought a Giant Floating Dino-Star in an inter-stellar dog-fight, amazingly i can't remember anything sound-wise from the dream, but whenever i think back to it my mind fills in the blank Soundless atmosphere with this very theme it's oddly rather fitting too
S'how i talk, forgive me for emphasizing words just like i do when i Actually say them, it's a pretty bad habit honestly, but my friends call it unique and it makes it easier to add a bit more life to my words through inflection
This song always sounded super sad to me. My personal head cannon reason for that was this area sector y is where Fox's dad got lost and wandered into the black hole. Fox is here now at his dad's last known location hoping maybe just maybe he'll find him...but he doesn't...
I still come back to video time and time again to listen to my childhood. i ain't gonna lie the older I get the more it hurts knowing I'm not a kid anymore where my only worry was what to get for Christmas.
I can relate; in a twist of severe irony, I'm actually somewhat grateful that my parents abused me and raised me in a cult. Rough as adult life is, it keeps getting better being away from them. The journey into the unknown is soothing to my soul and healing to my body. Ever play kingdom hearts? In the first one, at the start you are asked 3 questions. Depending on how you answer, the game tells you that your journey begins at either morning, midday, or midnight. Midday is consistent. In the morning, the game is easier and you level up faster for the first half. In the midnight route, it starts harder and you take longer to level up, but once you get to level 40/50, it switches and you level up faster than the other 2 routes. I guess my journey began at midnight. When did yours begin, I wonder?
One thing I liked is that StarFOx original conveyed really a lot of different space themes. As a kid I would really wonder what lay in the swirling colourful galaxies in the distance
If you spare *all* the aquatic type of enemies in the level, and turn all the orange stingrays blue, you can encounter a friendly space whale before the boss and it will stock you up with health, bombs, twin blasters, and a shield
@@AlphaladZXA I actually enjoy this stage, after all, the importance of knowing who to shoot and who NOT to shoot is key. Those stingrays that are orange and brainwash, shoot. The Big Ones, don't shoot! You pull it off right, even those nightmares is washed away a bit, by a flying space whale that rewards you plenty for your troubles.
The Amoebas were irritating and the Stingrays constantly coming at me even if I left them alone pissed me off until I learned that you have to shoot at them to make them leave you alone.
This OST seems so far away from the events, because here there is not a pleasure space travel but a space nightmare for whom shoot at anything XD Anyway... so relaxing^

I’m going to do that. My senior year ends in a month or so
Well, I've already graduated from high school, so, I'm going to do that when I graduate from college, certainly
that's weird

The sound of that whale during that level before the boss was always the biggest relief.

Given this stage had a space whale in it, it makes sense.
Your dream sounds curiously close to the plot of the Star Fox Manga from Nintendo Power.

It would be great to hear a symphony play this, maybe fill in some of the part with a vibraphone
This is a song that makes you think about what's in outer space. It made me imagine when I was a kid.
I think it’s cool that the movie 2001 had such an influence on music in sci fi. I feel like 2001’s soundtrack definitely influenced this song.
space is truly filled with living organism , love this level
I really like how the section at 0:42 sounds like the extra life sound (easier to hear sped up)

One of my favorite levels, with nice peaceful music, ended with (in my opinion) the game's toughest boss. Go figure.
Watch out for the stingray.
The stingray truly is the hardest boss. Just don't make it angry.
If you spare *all* the aquatic type of enemies in the level, and turn all the orange stingrays blue, you can encounter a friendly space whale before the boss and it will stock you up with health, bombs, twin blasters, and a shield
Joder, vals perfecto para una boda! :D
Such a peaceful theme. Enjoyed it. Then Plasma Hydra comes rolling in...
this level made me theorize there is wildlife living in deep space, or at least living near a nebula, feeding off space dust particles or something.

Humorous that you listen to this relaxing track right after rocking out to Titania's boss theme.
I have a massive fear of manta rays (from Star Fox Command fittingly enough), so this Level was torture for me.
