I'm that Gruul Eldrazi player there. Thanks for the games, and glad you liked the deck! @@unstable7505 I've tried Hand of Emrakul but I don't think it's great. Most of the time I find I'm ramping with the spawns so I don't often just have 4 lying around so it ended up stuck in my hand. Writhing Chrysalis is enough of a chonker and you can almost always cast it turn 3 or later. I haven't tried brood birthing, but it doesn't seem like it's the best. Glimpse the Future does almost the same thing for one more mana and is also huge card advantage later in the game. Might be better than I think though and I may try it at some point
Thanks for dropping the list and watching the video! I enjoyed having no idea what was going on in our games. I think your list is pretty spicy and maybe we'll give it a spin at some point.
Noooo! At 1:28:00 you could have omened to grab mukotai and hit for lethal! Love this video and list btw, and lots of love for mukotai ambusher. In the list I’m working on Im not running the inspectors but they seem really good for getting to affinity
8Spector is great and allows for the early aggro starts that you need to be able to beat some decks. You could maybe cut 1 of you are struggling for space.
That's just how affinity is. So much card draw that they never run out of gas. Lots of ways you can build this deck too so it seems fun to tweak to tune to your meta.
I want to start a petition to start calling the deck Orzhov Familiars! How is UW allowed to be called familiars and we don't! Respect to the Refurbished Familiar! Deck looks sick!
@@Kirblinxy UW has 4 familiars aswell so I think we'll be fine XD . I've been running a Cauldron Familair brew that also didn't get the name Orzhov Familairs as 'the card was not a key part of the strategy' It had me running Golden Egg over Ichor. So it certainly did impact the building XD
I made a smilair deck but I made a few different choices. I am running 2 lembas and 2 wellspring. Change one deadly into eviscerator's insight. The major different is I have 4 less Thraben to have 3 accursed marauder and 1 suffocating fumes main board.
Yeah, definitely a lot of different ways to build this one. Unsure on Accursed Marauder in this deck as you already have the blades. I'd probably just put them in the SB if you want them for a particular match
Hey Kirb wasn't sure where to put this but I think this deck might be good against the meta. Or interesting at least: 3 Bayou Groff 4 Burning-Tree Emissary 3 Elven Farsight 4 Experiment One 15 Forest 4 Halo Hopper 3 Khalni Garden 2 Magnify 4 Nest Invader 4 Nettle Sentinel 4 Rancor 2 Rogue Elephant 2 Skarrgan Pit-Skulk 2 Skyshroud Ridgeback 4 Sprouting Renewal Wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on it or improvements, thanks!
The deck seems very Mulligan dependant. I feel if you haven't dumped your hand by turn 4 you don't have the gas or the combat tricks to help push through. I'd probably need to play it to get a feel for it.
@@Kirblinxy Gas is definitely a thing. I'm wondering if there's a way to incorporate Winding Way by shaving spells/ adding creatures. Maybe Malevolent Rumble?
@@KirblinxyDident think about that interaction! Maybe sneaky snacker is the fuel tortex need to switch its engine. Tortex should be able to switch to sac draw 2 engine with sneaky snacker maybe. Probably is something there to explore!

@Kirblinxy how did unfathomable truths feel? Is 2 mnemonic walls enough? I usually run 3 in paper. And finally, is murmuring mystic a better finisher than horror or is that just to make the clock a little faster on modo?
Unfathomable Truths felt pretty good! Being able to Teachings for a Draw 3 has never happened before, it it pulled me out of a couple of bad situations. The scion also can buy you a turn (it blocked a gates up Guardian), and it also can't be pyroblasted which also came up. I had to run only 2 walls because of the Truth, I felt the curve was too high and needed to cull a 5 drop and it was the easiest choice. We do run an extra Pulse of Murasa, so it is easier to get back the fewer walls we do have. Mystic works fine as a finisher once the flicker engine is online, but it also just good at stalling the game out until you can get to that point. I think horror is the better finisher as by bouncing lands you can make sure your opponent can't get out of it, while the birds make it so a Breath Weapon or a combo kill could still end you. I've found you don't really need to rely on the Ghostly Flicker locks against most decks, Ephemerate works just as well enough which is another reason why you don't need 3 walls.
Well, could've bounced Bog vs Grixis, making the third fountain semi-useless, but that thought cast into thought cast into reckoners into deadly...*shrugs*
From 0 cards to 7 in two turns. This is why you never want to play against affinity as a Midrange deck. They always just seem to have more cards than you. At least I got some retribution at the end there.
Yeah, I don't think people have the right to complain after they draw 7 cards in 2 turns when they looked dead on board. That was pretty "unreal", lol.

Hell yeah... Multiple killer drops this week!
One can only drop so many killers in a week... Yeah, that sounds right.
