This was a fun video to enjoy while unwinding after putting my kiddos to bed. :) I've been LOVING Merit over the entire last year - I appreciate the clean formulation paired with the elegant packaging. I remember you recommended their lip oil in Pink Beet, and I recently ordered it. I've tried several of their other lip oil shades (as well as two of their new lipsticks!), and am excited to finally try Pink Beet when it arrives in the mail! :)
I get all my make up purchase inspo from RUclips. I only watch one beauty influencer, the rest is from channels like yours because I know the make up collection has been so thoughtfully curated. We are looking for long term favs, not the newest launches.

Hey Bethany! Love the glam of the gold cases - very old Hollywood! The products that are a must are a red lipstick (varies from burnt orange to sheer red to true red to garnet) black eye liner and black mascara. Brand of choice: Chanel for lipstick (but I only have one). Guerlain for their powder balls. Love the tip about the pomade. Have fun visiting! Xo ♥️🇨🇦🌎🌍🌏

I have minimized my makeup bag to two multi-use sticks by Ilia, 3 cream eyeshadow sticks by juice beauty, a mascara by Juice beauty, and one eye shadow palette by Ilia. I have very sensitive skin and these brands that claim to be very natural have indeed worked really well for me.

I just love the dandelion blush from the benefit, but after finishing it I switched to too faced sweethearts in shade sparkling Bellini but it’s more orange than pink I still like it tho but the dandelion is something else😩💓

We weren't allowed to wear make up to school but I always kept a tinted lip balm in my pencil case & never got caught😂 I still take one everywhere I go. Guess it has become a habit now😊

This is the first I’m learning of Merit so thank you…YSL lipsticks are great indeed. I see you don’t use a primer of any kind- I always wonder if they’re necessary. Thanks for the great content!
Aw thanks Judi! I would use a primer, but my aesthetician said it clogs pores, so I skip it, personally. I sometimes use primer on my lids, though!

Hey Bethany, don't mix the elta md and the avene but put each individually on, a bit of a pain, but that's how you ensure even coverage with the sun screen.
Hehe no worries! I do them individually, but I do mix the avene lotion with the foundation to make it more even 🤷♀️
@@bethanyleonardo ahh that works! i jut thought you mixed the sunscreen with the moisturizer.. I love avene products, if you go to france, stock up since they are cheaper there!
@Aka that would work because the formula has been created so that the sunscreen is evenly spread in the moisturizer. When you try to mix it yourself, its impossible to evenly spread the spf in the moisturizer

Bethany, do you apply makeup on a daily basis? I find it rather hard to apply makeup a lot and at times I wonder if I should always be looking my best by only using makeup instead of just taking care of my health to get a good glowing skin!
definitely keep taking care of yourself! :) but I always use makeup, especially when using it to complement an outfit color choice

I love videos like this one. They are so comforting for some reason. I just have a little comment Bethany. Please don't mix the spf with the avene cream because that disrupts the spf's formulation.
thank you so much! i try not to mix them, but I do put them on right after another. do you think there is a drying time that needs to happen?
@@bethanyleonardoa little late seeing this thread so not sure if you will see this but mineral sunscreen (I think yours has zinc in it) should be applied after lotion that way the lotion doesn’t interfere with spf. I’d let the lotion dry then apply spf. PS if you switch to chemical spf that kind goes onto your skin first so the skin can absorb it and then you can apply lotion and makeup.
