The intro to this chapter was probably the greatest "WHAT?!?!?!?!?!" moment in all of video games for me.
YES 😭😭 i went ‘the fuck????’ out loud so many times playing through this one.
just hit this part. i almost yelled "WHAT THE FUCK" out loud. i cant imagine what the rest of the game is like if its this nutty and its not even the end
And a spotless record, reminds me of a certain someone who banged their head rapidly on the wall during a breakdown.
You wouldn't happen to be referring to Miles Edgeworth adopted father (can't remember name) who framed Edgeworth for murdering his dad from Phoenux Wright are you?
Bingo, and his name is Manfred Von Karma.
Michael Tsang i always loved Evil Von Obvious Nazi Parallel
Michael Tsang Op
Michael Tsang is uuuu lolololoo
Less than two meters away from the radiation range...
What sorts of "powers of the dead" do you think Cabanela could've received if had only been a smidge closer?
That's an interesting question. Sadly the powers of the dead don't seem to be related to their owners in any way, but just assigned to them randomly.
However, if have to answer you, I'll say it'd be pretty cool if his powers were about invisibility, making objects invisible, for two reasons in particular: because of all the white coat stuff and hiding the "shadows" on it, in order not to let people see his career mistakes and that would fit really well in my opinion; in second place, because that would mean we could appreciate ghost tricks we've never seen before, as long as a new light of the ghost world.
I hope this may answer your question :)
He was granted the power of amazing dance moves.
Unfortunately, they were completely redundant.
@@J4hk2 sweg
@@lancillotto For conversation's sake, I'll disagree on the powers given being strictly random or necessary as they were for plot progression, though I could make that case just as well.
The first character chronologically to receive powers of the dead (with respect to timeline shenanigans) did so in a hostage situation- trying to unnaturally or unethically bend someone's actions to their will. This gets paralleled in their powers to possess/manipulate living creatures. Character #2 with ghost powers stumbled upon them as a creature of limited intellect- they can travel as far and fast as the first character, but are limited by what they can do- their 'swap at distance' gimmick amounts to a game of 'fetch.' Our main character has a short horizontal and vertical range (similar to how we would move if we weren't dead), can interact with a surprising number of objects, and can travel through telephone wires. This is the least-easy comparison to make since he's the lead necessary for the game mechanic to be plot-bearing, but with that twist at the end revealing he's more-or-less a _yōkai..._ well... things going his way or decidedly not for his accidental adversaries works out well for a "luck" based interpretation of his powers.
The invisibility angle is a nifty idea, and I expect he'd have something along the lines of Yomiel's range and basic tricks abilities, and unlike Sissel here still wouldn't be able to travel through telephone wires, if in part because he hadn't been able to place the call when Yomiel fired and life left his body. His connection to Yomiel (as he and Jowd were basically his strongest opposition this entire time) sets up some nifty potential to focus in on him more directly- perhaps giving him insight into Yomiel's trail or trick patterns specifically- checking history through investigations.
I wonder if this game ever got a sequel they were gonna try to potentially set up the other characters being killed near the Temsik fragment (Sissel has its fragment now close to them, as implied) to give them new tricks to play out than just moving objects, swapping, and manipulation of bodies. It’d be pretty interesting to see Cabanela and Lynne with tricks of their own to help out Sissel if it’s necessary for the puzzle.
"I'm not saying it's aliens...."
"....But it's aliens."
Shadow's Wrath Alien Spirits given powers through outer space meteorites? 🤨🤔 checks out.

OMG OMG THIS STORY IS SO EXCITING
I NEVER WOULDVE EXPECTED THAT ROOM TO BE IN A SUBMARINE ! OMG
I WAS LIKE "HOLYSHIZ!" WHEN THEY ZOOMED OUT .
I LOVE THIS GAME
"was getting shot part of your plan?"
"of course"
I knew it! I KNEW IT!
I KNEW there was something wrong with that security tape, I knew it! I knew there was something wrong with the way "Sissel's" body acted and the slow way Lynne drew her gun on that security tape!
I knew it! I knew Lynne was innocent, I knew it!
^_^
Actually Same colour as Phoenix Knit hat though.
Pretty sure a lot of PW references.Past Jowd clothes is also same as gumshoe.
The creator is the same, so that’s why.
Jowd's pink outfit is also Laurice Deuxnim's
there is an alternative ending to this chapter called *busted by yomiel* to get that simply manipulate the lamp while he is looking at you...hope that helps
this game is awesome
I got that ending first in my blind play through.
@@sunshinemonster0780 i did it on purpose cuz i was curious enough to know what will happen.
For those who don’t wanna spend time finding it:
If you swivel the lamp or knock the helmet off while the manipulator is talking to Cabanela, he will notice your presence and freeze your position. He’ll then turn to the front of the screen and talk directly to _you_ about acknowledging your plans to stop the victim’s intended death, after this, Cabanela will die early, same method of death; unchanged.
This ending shows just how more powerful yomiel is than sissel. Dude is on a whole different level.
by far this is the best DS game i've played so far. its just so damn interesting! have not been able to put it down. i just got it yesterday and began playing at around 7 tlll 2 a.m. then from 2 p.m. to now (11:45 p.m.) this mystery is very just has glued to the screen!!!!!! rate game 10/10
A 10 year old review. At least the game aged well, with or without sequels.
@@davepanpa5787 just played it a few months ago. Always great to go back to every couple of years. Magnificent game
@@MrDaranel Bro, I'm playing it for the second time rn. Just completed the chapter in this vid, and I'm doing the chapter after it.
I just found out that its available on IOS
@@TheGoonyBrush I remember I was so excited when it came out on IOS. But i stuck with the DS version because you needed to buy the extra chapters on ios
Evil smiling "Sissel" is scary o.o
Cabanela:- I used to act stylish, till i took a hat in my face.
I’m growing convinced that ‘Sissel’ was the cat. If appearances can be changed, and ghosts be animals...
🏅
Heh.
You obviously played the whole damn game and knew the story. Do a fucking spoiler tag next time and don't try to be a dickhead smartass wannabe
I loled sooo hard when missile said "whats a hostage!?"
Spoiler alert /!\
3:38 THIS line… makes much more sense when you know the truth, poor yomiel 😭💔
35:33 he looks an awful lot like Phoenix wright, must be a reference
If you had swapped the bullet with the crash helmet(that yellow thing) then the Inspector's head would have been turned to paste.
The old pointing finger, from ace attorney at 4:47, ( I think).
Holy, that chapter is genius...
Miss Kamila...?! A hostage...?!
What is a hostage?!
Ladiesand gents. We have just hit the climax and a great one at that.
Damn, what a chapter! twists are sure great
You know a game is great when you just don't want it to end :D Keep up the great videos!
It's surprising that The Old Pigeon Man hasn't lost his memories of who he is, who Cabanela is, or what happened during his last 4 minutes alive, despite the fact that he hasn't been dead for very long.
🤔That *is* very surprising.🤔
Then again, that particular kook had been hanging around the park for quite a while...
Ghosts recover their memories almost immediately after identifying themselves or their corpses. IDK how he could see himself under the rubble, though, but maybe he saw the environment, deduced it was a lab of some kind and that he was a scientist, and that was enough for him to recover his memories
This one made me rage...a whole darn lot.
The one where you're saving cabanela, the pigeon guy saving is fine, little arse-pulley, but fine enough.
I'm suprised that rat commotion could happen so fast, within a second or less.
04:58 - 05:18
The biggest WTF moment in this game
Make it like this 4:58 5:18
*jowd puts on coat*
SUPER JOWD!
I just realized that for a while ive been watching this series on 1.25x speed and i gotta say i personally think the music goes pretty hard on 1.25x speed (also yes I know this series is 11 years old it popped up in my recommended a little while ago and its an amazing game)
JOWDSHOE
4:20 OBJECTION! Point!
Shit just got REAL.
Missile is sooo cool that lil cute warrior
the man in red suit is... another criminal... YOMIERU!!!!(another sissel)
Great. You're Sissel, he's Sissel, _I'm_ Sissel....
Are there any other Sissels I should know about??
detective, I'll telling ya!
37:40 Look at the paint on Jowd's shirt and watch it for a few seconds.
I just realised Jowd looks like a younger Dr. Light mixed with Gumshoe, both Capcom properties...
(INSERT X-FILES MUSIC)
So with all those efforts and accidentally make a super powerful bullet made from a hard hat that hit straight into Cabanela skull huh. I guess I need to retry.....again.
Hmmm, but if the Sissel we know wasn't the original red man, why does his spirit in the land of the dead show up as him? I'll have to keep watching!
Let's see... They already mentioned it. A "manipuler."
Remember when Lynne first died?
Yeah. It’s that.
OBJECTION! Phoenix does not have a button on his shirt! Furthermore, I please the court to look at the cravat of the man in question. IT'S NOT PHOENIX'!!
Shit. It gets real.
And it only gets even better from here! =D
giant plot twists are giant o.O
I thought from the thumbnail that it was a just flashback segment involving Sissel and Sith, while I was completely ignoring Cabanela’s body on the chair
Ive never been so confused in my life.
Why doesnt it make sense!
2 sissles and thats not even his name.
I just wonder then how he got in through the phone line if that's the case
38:05 Biggest Hype Moment For Me In All Of Gaming
MISSLE IS SO CUTE !
at the end, jowd looks like gumshoe from phoenix wright.:D
HEY ma dudes sup' so i know youtube is not wikipedia but, i have a little problem with this game, the is game is awesome its just, i'm going in the chapter 15, 2:50 a.m did ya know the part when the evil sissel stand up of the table when the old man with the bird in te head is examining him? well when the evil sissel just take ONE step my nintendo DS crash...so...i dont know if someone can... y'know help me :)
i just noticed at 3:11 Sissle is red right before the 4 minutes to death of Cabanela
@jmt0820 No. hes the guy in the blue suit who works with the green suit
Finally i get it. It take time to finish this game
The SwiftySwift i never think to see you here..
emiel quijaro Lol? why you here xD
i could ask you the same thing XD..actually one youtuber played an rpg game called "clock of atonement" and its pretty similar to ghost trick...so i decided to watch a gameplay with no commentary because nico B sux
No, it's the guy in the blue suit from the first part of the game.
Lol Cabanela's face at 5:52 it's so goofy looking!
Mettaur helmet?
I'm stuck here as always
@jmt0820 and the guy in the green has the same outfit as payne from trials and tributations
35:39 wait............... ISN'T THAT PHOENIX WRIGHT SALUTING INSPECTOR CABANELA????
It's just the blue detective from Chapter 3 or 4 I believe.
Man was I wrong about the overshadowing.
But wait whose soul is the protagonist's??
If this Sissel is evil where did the soul come from???
35:35 Phoenix?
@SolarRayExE It'll all make sense...very, very soon.
@LexLight1 o rly? i remember him with the green costume on the first case
when Yomiel dies and then rolled back and comes back to life at 5:00 i nearly Sh** myself. It freaked the crap out of me no joke.
I want to see the Sissel "robot" the murder machine.
04:20 OBJECTION!
Huh, i wonder why that's their last contact by phone? Doesn't make any sen-*Camera begins to zoom out* Wait a minute... *Zooms out all the way* A submarine? WHAT? WHAAAAT? WHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA*dies from lack of oxygen*
Thx
what the sissel is there
+Nintendid It's called Emulator and is pronounced Em-You-Lay-Ter
@4CecilSnow13 You'll find out soon enough. The reality is...surprising, to say the least! :3
Chapter 15 is universally agreed to be the best chapter in Ghost Trick, and it deserves it. Also Cabanela’s character in this chapter is just peak and it provides us hindsight for his previous actions.
Sith...
Star Wars Confirmed.
24:47 That must hurt...
I mean, if you didn't replace the hardhat with the knitted hat, you'd kill Cabanela because of
A) It's toughness being very hard.
B) The speed it is going at.
If anyone wants to know the one who is kamila, reply me.
28:02
DETECTIVE I'LL TELLING YA
O.O PHOENIX! 35:38
@jmt0820 Nah man that was a detective that was brought up earlier
35:40 PHOENIX WRIGHT
Jowd reminds me of Dick Gumshoe from Phoenix Wright haha :D
Micke its missle
I hate the rat in the torpedo! I can't complete that! DX
I’m so confused
At the end of the previous chapter Jowd specifically says the guy in the park WASN'T named Sissel and now at the beginning of this chapter the first line is "10 years ago a man named Sissel took a little girl...".
so was he named Sissel or not??!!??
Idanu Boyo Sissel the ghost is just using “Sissel” as a placeholder for the Manipulator.
So there was this guy named Schrödinger-
I'd go little nuts too if I were threatened by an effeminate cop who moonwalks everywhere.
@peepeevagi the same thing happened to me eisepet the dieing part.
who manipulate kamila I mean...
@jmt0820 OBJECTION, I can't accept this without proof
I played and finished this game....
HOLY FUCK I DON'T UNDERSTAND SHIT ANYMORE
na jkjk
O_O
SPOILER!!! Sissel isnt even human he is a cat and the real sissel real name is yomiel and ray the desk lamp is the dog(idk the name) from another time thats why ray wouldnt show himself
