I used my DJA4 for a week long Disneyland trip and it was the best choice I made. I'll sacrifice perfect video quality for something that captures moments I want to remember forever.
100 Percent - so convenient right? You won't remember the video quality as much as you'll remember the funny thing that happened or how cute your kids were "in the moment"
I think one of the most important arguments, if not THE most important one, is that the Action 5 (as its predecessors) fits super easily into your pocket., Way easier as an Osmo Pocket 3. In addition to that it is very robust. so perfect for family life and also action with your kids. Every other camera (which would less depth of field or even better video quality (what you don't typically need) lacks that possibilities to be asap ready out of your pocket and being super robust at the same time.
@@jostalking thanks for that videos. I have the Action 3 but I feel the Action 5 pro would be worth an upgrade as I can use all accessories and just buy the basic combo. and in image quality upgrade
@@AlexanderBischof Do you like to color grade? I gotta say I really love the 10 bit color, shooting in DLOG M and then bringing back the highlights and shadows is awesome! I think you will be very happy with the 5
Great review! I also use action cams for family stuff. The jitters at night. will go away completely with these settings: 4K 30, EIS at Rocksteady (not +), Shutter 1/100-1/8000 (this is very important, you can also use quadruple your frame rate to 30FPS at 1/120, 60 at 1/240, etc., Texture at -2, Noise Reduction at -1 or -2. In night mode, you can’t adjust ISO. In normal, all these settings apply but make sure ISO is 100-25000.

I gotta agree with you! But boy have I gotten some people who don't agree with us - At the end of the day its still an action camera, and in my opinion its amazing for what it can do
@@jostalkingyeah, I prefer Action 5 than Gopro because it is the most suitable cam for both vlog and action. Btw, the video transfer speed from cam to app is mind-blowing 😂

watched up to 7:40 but great video. Quality is great. The only thing that would beat the convenience of this is your phone. If your phone had a comparable night mode and could connect to your DJI mic without any additional things, that would be even more convenient. More me, I choose the phone over having one additional thing to carry around. The phone has different focal points as well; I'll take the drawbacks of image and audio quality and accept that what my phone produces is good enough for my use
First off, thanks for your support! You have stuck with my annoying ass for a while! I totally agree with you though, you can use the the DJI Mic 2 with Filmic Pro app, but it's too much of a setup I feel like. Also I burn though the battery on my phone way too fast, which is why I find myself not using the phone as much if I am shooting a full video. Convince is the key
@@jamessaykhamphone9282 that’s a really tough question. If you need durabilty I’d say yes it is the best. If you need best picture quality I’d say the Sony zve1 is better. If you want something in between then it’s the pocket 3.

other than the battery juice for the multihandle, are there any more benefit? thinking of getting one, but the downside for me is it wont extend as compared to the stick that comes with the combo.
If you got the combo package with the 3 batteries, then you don't really need the multi handle. I wrestled with the fact that this handle didnt extend.
