Bought a Q90B recently, and this was literally the only video that actually showed and explained, clearly, what I nneded to do. Thank you!!!
I bought the same, but here it do not allow me! I bought an HDMI 2.1 to test. My VGA is RTX 2060.
@@RonaldoGuedes You might need to update the drivers on your nvdia card. Make sure its from them and not from the partners (asus, Pny, MSI, etc.....)

Glad it helped. :)
Thé same dude!
have you figured out the gsync part?
after buying 3 cables I went to research and thanks to your video I discovered that it has this hidden option in samsung to enable HDMI 2.1....
Thank you very much!
Absolute legend video!! I have had my QBQ90S over a year, I have always been depressed that the VRR has never been activated!
THANK YOU!!!
Thank you! It literally took me 30 seconds into your video to enable VRR!
Really appreciate your commment
thank you! This was great and straight forward. So many other confusing explanations are online that dance around the actual solution.

From someone who's friend has a lg cx and I have a qn90a, his cx is already experiencing burn in but he plays games for a living so his TV is basically on 18-19 hours 5,6 days a week, I actually took my TV to his house and compared them in person side by side and their both nice but the Samsung just give you better color and visibility compared to the lg, but the one hdmi 2.1 outlet is annoying on the Samsung but for a gaming TV I'd choose the qn90a and for those saying to wait a few years for the newer tvs good luck thanks to the semi conductor shortage happening rn, before to long you'll be lucky to find 2019 year model tvs
how do you 'play games for a living'? not interested in doing so, just wondered how you apply for such a job lol
Thank you very much, there was no content like this in Portuguese, and I almost bought a new HDM
I just had to tick the Enable settings for selected display model, and now Gsync works. Thanks a bunch buddy you helped me a lot.
Thanks! You were the only one on the entire RUclips platform who managed to explain how activating G-Sync on Samsung TV works. Even though I'm not fluent in English here in Brazil, I was able to activate the automatic subtitles and understand your explanation. Does this method also work on the Samsung Q70C 2023?
Thank you for the pro tip. I just got my s90C 55" delivered today and wasn't sure how to get G sync enabled. Now it's working fine =-)
Saved me tons of time trying to figure it out, thanks!!
Thank You so much! Just bought a Q90C and was at a loss how to enable VRR.
I'm not very good at English, sorry.
I have a Rx 7700 xt graphics card and also the Samsung QN90A model is valid. Without making the settings, Freesync premium pro shows HDR OFF, but I think it is on in HDR. Even though it says HDR OFF, it feels like it is on. Do you think such a thing is possible?
I have Samsung Neo QLED QN90B
I applied your instructions, and I found 2k at 120hz under the PC resolutions list, I couldn't make it 4K at 120hz, there's no 4K at 120hz.
any ideas to fix this issue?
Thank you so much.
Hey, I want to buy a QN90B as well did you make it work ?
Q90A here, was stuck on a 30 fps. Thank you!!!
my man, i got a QN90B and I'm getting more depressed by the minute!
I've ran out of combinations to try, I just cannot turn on game mode.
I got a aorus 3070ti with 3 HDMI ports and 6 different cables (currently sitting on one ceritifed for 8K).
Tv works fine with my PC at default 4k60p, but the moment I try to turn on Game Mode or input signal plus it just goes black.
I attached a second monitor to try to see what happens, and the moment I turn the settings on it just dissapears from the Nvidia Panel - if I disable those settings it magically reappears.. I don't understand why does it behave this way....
Do you have any solution? Have you ran into this problem before?
Thanks a lot. Worked just fine for me.
Amazing
Finally a proper pc gaming review thx
Welcome.
Now that VRR is available on the PS5, can you please make a video on how to enable it on PS5? I tried and it's still showing off.
Greetings from Russia, with gratitude and respect. You've been very helpful! 👍
This method also works perfectly on Samsung's new QD OLED tvs.

@@michaelmacedo2011 Huh. It turns on just fine for me... make sure you followed the directions completely?
Great guide. Though at 4mins I don't get 3840x2160 available but does 2560x1440 120hz with VRR ok. Nvidia 2080 G-Sync enabled & Samsung QN90A UK. If add custom 3840x2160 PC mode it creates the res but can't select it. Tried another HDMI 2.1 cable which is certified 48gbits on HDMI website.
Because the RTX 2000 series don't have a HDMI 2.1 port, so you have to upgrade to the 3000 series
yeah I have the same problem seen other RUclipsr with same graphics card and was able to do it I still can't

4k120 vrr is nice. Is it running 444/RGB and 10 bit also? My gripe with Q95t, other than the horrid dimming zones, was the lack of 120hz vrr in full RGB. Eyeing of this as thee replacement

This function also let you have 4K120Hz + VRR/GSync/FreeSync on a HDMI 2.0 but without HDR colour range.
How is the Performance on the Qn90a with Sdr Blu Rays ? On the Lg Cx is dont like the picture with my normal blu rays, the Performance was bad.
Man you must be tired of me asking the same question but I was ready to buy the 55 qn90a tomorrow for my main.pc gaming display, I like the no burn in risk and the different aspect ratios and higher brightness but it seems the number one reason people are telling me not to get it is DSE and banding so now I'm on the fence again, I know the 48 c1 will be great also but there are a lot more necessary steps when using it as a pc monitor to be aware of to prevent burn in
Banding and DSE is more visible on larger size TVs, if you are getting 55" it is gonna be less noticeable and only when you have mostly while (hockey like sports on screen).
@@MyGadgetsWorld thank you for the reply, the 55 qn90a is the US is a VA Panel? Thanks for the video!!! Functions. But not quite the way you described it, or at least it is. For everyone where it didn't work immediately, like me, deactivate the G-Sync in the video settings and then activate it again. Then it worked for me. Thank you, found the video by accident. Top

Hello.
All of your instructions worked except when switching to 4k in the pc section, I get black screen.
I can run 8k 60fp from my PC just fine (rtx 3090) but it refuses 4k 60/120 in the pc section.
So I assume my cable is okay since it does 8k 60hz just fine? 1440p runs 120hz.
So it can run 120hz, run 8k and 1440p, just not 4k 60/120.
This is driving me nuts - please someone help. Samsung Qn700a - arghh
Any updates? I am running 980 gtx and unable to get 4k at 120hz, I am only getting 60hz google says max is 240hz for my card.
So it looks like only nvidia 3060 and up support hdmi 2.1. Or you can use 1.4 converter to hdmi if you have 2x00 cards. Not sure why ppl having trouble with 3060 cards on up. 😞
@@pinglocalhost hey thanks for reply. I figured it out. I used my ps5 hdmi cable and it worked. I did some more research and turns out my HDMI wasn't fibre optic despite the description saying it supported 4k 120hz. So ..Amazon seller lied. It all works fine now.

and i can only activate 120hz in 1440p options, every 4k option is just 60hz
i bought an cable that says it's 2.1 and runs 8k, but after reading your comment i'm suspecting that i bought the wrong cable like you did

Hi.Can I do this on the Samsung QN85A? Thx
The reason it’s changing back down to 60 is cause since it isn’t a gsync certified display. It doesn’t have a correct G-Sync range. So you are going from a natural 1 to 120fps range of the normal tv to a default 30 to 60fps range of G-Sync. So when you are gaming over 60 on that tv with G-Sync on you are actually outside of the range and it is not working. What you can do to fix that is download a program that lets you adjust tv settings through your pc. And you can then change your gsync range to match that of a certified gsync display like LG to a range of 45 to 120fps. And you are then good to go.
What is this program please?
I don't understand why this TV is not certified. My OLED is. Odd.
Thanks for any info.
Please tell us what program can solve that g-sync range
VRR only works on 16:9 and not 32:9 ? I am confused, It only lets me turn on VRR when the screen is at 16:9 aspect ratio. I like to play Counter Strike: GO on my Samsung TV with mouse and keyboard.

My video card is nvdia 3080Ti and I install the newest PC driver. I can't enable Input Signal Plus for my HDMI 4 port. Is it the HDMI 2.1 cable problem? Looking forward to your reply. Thank you.
have you figured out why? i cant get it sot run at 120hz, when game mode is on, it changes down to 60hz.. input signal plus cannot be activated.
@@ryuyasuaki Hi, my problem might caused by the HDMI 2.1 cable. Some HDMI 2.1 cable said it is HDMI 2.1 but in actual, it couldn't work for the 40-48 G bandwidth as HDMI 2.1 protocol.
