I feel the "NYC Skyline" version of "I Do" is a better introduction for most people. Throughout this album we get to hear their talents both individually and as a group, mixing together. Their recent "Killing Voice" video is a good introduction to their very extensive discography.
You are really good at analysis! I love your reactions, you're right, it's very American, it was produced to introduce (G)I-DLE to the American audience. My favorite is Tall Trees. ❤
Yes, this album is not IDLE production and is not IDLE style too. I think this is an commercial experience to (maybe) bring more american fans to them. The musics are good, only because the girls voices and performances, otherwise would be just generic. I hope Soyeon returns to producing their musics soon.
I like the album, but it is a bit mixed for me. I think it is obvious that they didn't have anything to do with the writing, concept or production. "I want that" was the title track - "I do" was a pre-release. I'm sure they went with 88rising because they wanted to reach a wider audience in the US, plus people often criticise their english in songs they have written. Maybe with the exception of "i do," i think the group could have written better, to be honest. To get my negative thoughts out the way: Musically i don't think these songs sound like them or are as well written as their songs usually are. The raps are poorly written and uncreative. I feel the videos don't properly connect with the songs - they are usually fantastic at adding meaning to the song through the videos, but these almost fell like they are telling a different story to the song. There are positive for me too, though: The videos really show how great they all are at acting. I feel that the songs are great at showing their vocals - Miyeon especially. Songs like "I do" and "Tall trees" have no rap and let Soyeon be a vocalist, and "Flip it" lets almost everyone rap, even if it's not the best rapping they have done. Cube delayed the release of this album by a month so that it "met (g)i-dle's standards." It makes me wonder what 88rising had initially produced. Not trying to hate on 88rising, because it isn't a bad album. I just feel that as a whole it didn't meet the quality that they produce when they are doing it themselves. It does show how great they are at delivering whatever they are given, though 😊
Great reaction 👍 more (G)I-DLE 🎉

Can you react to Soojin's (6th member of G-Idle) first solo song Agassy?
