    I agreeeeee with this video. I always never follow the water instructions. I also add the powder at the end inside the bowl for more intense flavor too and take it off the heat a minute before it’s ready so the nooodles absorb flavor soup in bowl and continue to cook/get soft in bowl. Cause it takes some time to put green onions and get ready to eat it 😂

      I usually turn mine into yakisoba style by cooking all the water off. My wife hates it but my 2 year old daughter LOVES it.......she also can't make a huge mess by getting broth everywhere. Toss some green inions or chives on it and to quote her dead.....BUSSIN!!!

    • @lethiapage4767
      @lethiapage4767 6 месяцев назад

      I cook my ramen in a skillet!! Yes! With just enough water to soften the noodles, and usually a little extra and let it cook off. I add the seasoning and some sesame oil to the water. I also usually add some type of frozen veg. Also great with rice and or scr egg added.
      Here's a thingy too...I really prefer beef flavor ramen but I buy chicken flavor. I buy the beef seasoning in bulk and use that for ramen plus a lot of other stuff. The chicken seasoning I use a lot less and the packets from my ramen are just enough to keep me stocked without purchasing it extra. I wish I could buy just the noodles.

    I typically use 1 bottle of spring water. Just after the noodles loosen I pour some water out and then I put the seasoning in my bowl, not the pot. That gives the noodles tons of flavor. Along w/ sautéed ham cold cuts , peppers onions slightly seasoned.

      @huskydadtokoda, absolutely I never cook w/ tap water. If you knew what was really in tap, you'd barely want to shower in it 😂. I buy cases of water for cooking and alkaline for drinking. So we have lots & lots of water.

      I think municipal water sources are perfectly fine for consumption, the chlorine and iodine added aren't harmful. In rare cases some water supplies have been contaminated but most of us in the usa have perfectly fine tap water. It's a highly successful marketing strategy by beverage conglomerates convincing us that we should buy bottled water. Have your tap water tested for contaminants, I think you'll be surprised by the results

    I'm legit kinda proud cz that's HOW I cook mine. But it's really a no-brainer,cz that's just how they taste best! Sometimes though, I pour almost all the water off, in a bowl add a tsp-T of toasted sesame oil plus the seasoning packet and about a T of the noodle water to make a mock sauce. Toss the noodles in and IT'S GOOD!
    *a touch of chili oil works too if you have that on hand, or a dash of ginger- obv there's no limits to ramen add-ons!

    From watching Running Man, I learned to just start cooking the ramen with the water and putting a bit of vinegar in it.
    Then I separate the eggs because I like my yolks a bit firm but my whites runny 😅 so I put my egg when the water starts boiling and when it starts cooking, I take it off the heat, put the egg white and cold milk. The milk takes off the heat a bit.
