This is a great video and overview. I appreciate the minimal or no shooting videos like this. I'm here for the info, experience, and opinion. Much appreciated. Thank you.
I also like the side by side size comparisons. Probably against the rules to show a full field strip, but maybe discuss process / what it takes to break it down and whether it's simple and tool less or not.
@Joshua Gibson, thank you for watching and commenting. I plan to show the field strip for cleaning during the update video after I have some range time with the gun. And it is definitely a tool-less take-down.
I got one of these. It shoots great although it was shooting to the left(I shoot left handed, too). I adjusted the rear sight all the way to the right but it didn't seem to be enough. No failures in the first 150 rounds but I need to go back to the range with it before deciding if it needs attention. It's easy to clean, easy to rack, which is what interested me in it due to severe arthritis of the thumbs. It is about the same size all around as a Taurus G2s so no improvement there for IWB carrying. One drawback is that .380 ammo isn't cheap, especially the better stuff.
This Walther was a good basic 380 for us. Lots of color choices these days from Walther…. I think allot of that is to get the female buyer interested. For me I prefer my Shield Plus, or the Mossberg Pistols both in 9MM. Take Care Sir! 👨🏻🚀😎🇺🇸👍. Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
I'm with you on the 9mm over .380, though the .380 seems to be the preference for many folks who may not have the strength - or desire - to handle a 9mm. My wife will be weighing on on more than a dozen .380 pistols in our upcoming series. As always, thank you for watching and commenting.
Hi nice job,... Thanks. I just bough a new one and was very surprised there were no lands and groves inside the barrel. No sharp edges anyway, the lands seem more like slight humps. that fade into the groves Is this common to this model? I can not hit the broad side of a barn with it....
See my answer on the Range Time video for this gun. And thanks for watching. I'll add that accuracy of polygonal rifling shouldn't be any different than traditional rifling.
I had the 9mm version. I am not sure about the .380 chambering, but I didn’t notice any perceivable difference in recoil. The trigger left a lot to be desired, but the grip was awesome. Not a bad gun, but I think there are better options available.
The CCP M2 dimensions are the same for the 9mm and .380 versions. Both have the same gas-delayed blowback system. I haven't shot the 9mm version yet, but I may in the future.
I have the 9mm version. No, no issues at all. I mean it's a Walther, they're outstanding. They do get a bit warm when you run them hard at the range because of the gas blow by design. I'm talking after maybe 250-300 rounds.
Why on earth would they put a magazine disconnect on a carry gun? During a struggle, the magazine getting accidentally ejected is completely foreseeable. Would be a sickening feeling to pull that trigger and feel nothing.
Would it kill Walther to put an RMSc cut on the slide? Im guessing the target audience that needs the arthritis-slide is also having trouble seeing barrel bumps with their bifocals. 😂
Good question. It seems that some manufacturers introduce guns with iron sights to test the market. If they sell well enough, or if they receive enough requests, they follow up with the optics-ready model. Thanks for watching.
That trigger pull and reset seem long by todays standards. S&W EZ- I normally don't have any problem with a grip safety. 1911's and Springfield XDM pistols have them and I shoot them well and hardly notice they are present. The S&W Sheild EZ is completly different and not in a good way for me. It feels crunchy, and has to be in just the right position when I grip the gun to work.
I carry a 1911, so I'm fine with a grip safety. Same goes for the Springfield XD series. But the pivot point on the grip safety of the Shield EZ is totally different and my wife definitely has issues with that gun. Thanks for watching.
There are a number of .380 pistols that are close to the size of the Baby Browning. I believe AMT once made one that resembles the Browning. I don't have the AMT Backup, but I'll be including several other micro .380 pistols in the upcoming series.
@@RidersRange With you shooting so many pistols with optics the PDP should be on your short list. I suggest the Pro and don't think you will be disappointed.

I didn’t even know they made this gun in .380. Thanks for the video!
After the initial shots with this .380, I'm now anxious to try it in 9mm.
@@RidersRange Is it has operated like the 9mm?
Same gas-delayed recoil operation on both the .380 and the 9mm.
Solid review. I have the CCP 9mm. You are welcome to borrow it along with the .380 models we discussed
Thanks. I'll be reaching out to you.
Hope your series will include the new Ruger Security .380. Nice little gun.
It will. I recently did a review of the Security .380, and it will appear again in my .380 series.
I've had one for a year or two, it's a pleasant gun to shoot
Yes, it is. Thanks for watching.
I picked up the 9mm version as my daily carry and I've really enjoyed it.
I'm trying to get my hands on the 9mm version. It it works like the .380, it will be a great gun.
This is actually the M2+ version. On the right side of the pistol there is + in front of DE.

Nice I am liking the 380
4 380acp pistols I'm considering is the Grand Power lineup(CP380,LP380 or P380) and the Ruger Security 380 ....
I understand that this comes in 9mm also. Are they both the same size? Great, detailed review!

Hope you have or can borrow the Browning 1911 in 380
I have the Browning Black Label and it will be included in the series. Thanks for watching.
Reminds me of my Walther PPS..9mm CCW
I read reports that this gun tends to jam when dirty have you experienced any of that? Can't believe everything you read on the interweb
I've only put 300 rounds through it so far, but no issues yet.
@@RidersRange appreciate the quick response. Was considering grabbing one of these for the wife.

I heard the Bersa BP380 has a silly trigger @ 3lbs ...

they had no choice, it's an import regulation.

I'd love of there was something like a modern version of a baby Browning or the like. 380 or 25 Cal.

I have one in 9mm...mine at least is ammo picky...grip feels great I will say that for it.
After shooting this .380, I'm looking forward to trying the same gun in 9mm.
Gas operated ? Or blowback?
It’s actually a gas-delayed blowback action. I’ll explain that in the range review.
👍👍
Thanks for watching.
I didn’t care for the m&p ez I rented it and even the rso said they aren’t the best.
The ex is junk! Not dependable bc of the safety on the grip
No PDP in your collection? Shame on you.
So many fine guns on the market, so little time and money. Maybe someday.........
