A lot of drummers take a first pass to hear the melody and take notes, he took 30 seconds and went straight into it....true talent....he is listening to the song while playing, knowing exactly where the bridges etc are....
I don't think he knew it but he's just so experienced doing session work for so many different artists where he just walks in and plays, that he just fell into his wheelhouse. Same as you, skepticism, nothing wrong with that but I think it was genuine and just fantastic. Everything was on point. The fills and cymbal accents were just pure and you can see it in his face. 😂
I am so glad seeing drummers get some well deserved respect! I can't play drums for crap, but I can tell you as a guitar player that the band can function without me, but without a drummer? heck no. If the guitarist has a bad night, eh you get through it, but if the drummer has a bad gig, the whole band is fuct. This video has gotten a lot more people interested in drums and drummers, and that's absolutely cool in my book. cheers!
I saw that as well, I was going to add it to this reaction but it wasn't that impressive their reaction. Still pretty awesome that they reacted to it (:
its not far off the world he is in. ironically, people who arent familiar with this world of music find this more unbelieveable, yet people who are familiar, understand where he is coming from nd appreciate it more and notice the nuances
Let's go! 🔥 thanks for binge watching. I got a whole video series of Sleep Token that I want to do. Starting from the very beginning 😁 Pretty excited for it! 😁😁
been sayin it for years... the more you play, the easier it gets. while impressive, what chad did here is something any drummer with 20+ years of experience could do. there's no time changes, the fills are easy to pick up and transitions are telegraphed.
Yeah not the hardest thing to do if you been playing drums for years. The only part that I kinda knew would throw him off was the accents in the bridge part. Just pretty awesome how he just grooved with it first try. I've been improvising on drums for many years and most of this just comes with feel.
If you energetic rock drumming like this, you may want to react to the drummer for the rock band The Warning, she hits the drums like they owe her money. Check their RUclips channel for the live performance of Dust To Dust at Teatro Metropolitan.
Simple recipe, and still very impressive. He killed it. Great drummer, super basic song and you get an easy follow. Don't get me wrong, I like the song but there's nothing at all unpredictable about it as a musician.

Please react to Ronnie Radke - Never The Same
The part where you sang along convinced me you are a better drummer than singer 😂
Great reaction 👍😎

@@wirelessmikedj7784 he took 50 seconds to Mars 🤣😎

Not the session work is what matters here, his skill for improvisation is out of this world

I saw a tiktok where jared and shannon reacted to this video

If watched this so many times, I was watching it this morning funnily enough 😂
My drum teacher would be smacking me in the head for ghost toeing the kick drum like that. But it's Chad Smith so he gets a pass.
It’s a huge part of his vibe and sound. Ghost notes all over the kit.
But technically, yeah, not good lol
Sempre simpático e fantástico 👌👋👋👋👋🥰

Led Zeppelin Kashmir - Bonzo is in 4/4 Jimmy is in 3/4. They meet every 12 beats.

Even though Chad is one of the best drummers in the world, I don't really think he's ever heard the song before. It was far too precise for that
How is a drummer singer off beat lol?
dont minimize Chad Smith LMAO
