Thats the difference between "a drummer" and Chad. He got the technique, experience and is able to active listening plus transfer it within a splitt second into his drumming. He is one of the GOATS for a reason.
Chad Smith gets me emotional when he plays because he's that brilliant. I feel his soul through his playing just like when I hear somebody sing beautiful through their soul, I feel it. I'm a singer myself so I can just feel when somebody is passionate
One thing a lot of people miss out is....Chad started playing drums when he was 7, which means he's been playing drums for 50 years. Yes, 50 years. There's a lot of experience in that man most people don't see.
Of you dig this check out drumeo having 66Samus doing one of the hardest Zepplin songs. He only recorded some vocal cues and nailed it on the first attempt.
Anthony-I keep intersecting with your reactions. I’m so glad I started following you way back as you discovered SKZ!!! You are a musician’s musician!!! More Chad too please!
Great reaction! I can watch this over and over again! Chad’s in my top 5!! I would love to have seen Neil Peart do an episode of this!! (He probably wouldn’t have done it) but it would have been a blast to see!! God bless… from Texas!!
@4:20 I think his stick breaking gave the song a nice breath❤with the bass drum coming through more. It really prepped and reinforced the lead singer’s climax; pounding home the point. 🥁🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🎸🎧
Their reaction was as boring as the background music they play these days. It was barely a reaction and more two men doing faces to the camera like clowns.
I haven't seen your other reactions to these and I don't know if you guys talked about it, but the format of the show is that people listen the song through once, and then play the second time, but he just jumped in mid-song. Total improv!!!
Wait until you watch II from Sleep Token do his live the summoning on drumeo. But this video right here is what made me subscribe to drumeo and realize Chad is god on drums
The really bananas part is that Chad could have done multiple takes, taken notes if he wants, etc. , but he just listens for a few seconds and jumps in sticks blazing. One and done... damn near perfectly. A consummate professional.
A master at his craft!! On a funnier note, it would be entertaining to react to Chad Smith and the REAL Chad Smith (Will Ferrell 😂) have a "drum-off" (tonight show?)
You should see the Leto's reaction to him drumming. Hey, if you get the chance you should check out Jazz Band Covers Nirvana On The Spot. They do Heart-shaped Box amazingly, vids like 18 mins long so on your personal time. Oh and seriously, check out Dead Leaves Anime if you get the chance. It's absolutely amazing.
🔥🔥🔥💙💙💙💥💥💥 You gotta check out Luke Holland Drums cuz it shows him playing several Falling In Reverse songs live with the band (camera set up for watching Luke specifically) and some videos where he is drumming for MGK live. He's still really young and he's crazy good, too. All this double bass kicks!
I watch one dude react to these Drumeo videos and he does entire breakdowns on the different techniques being used vs the original and he mentioned how Chads ghost noting on the bass drum completely unapologetically. And how technically it is a big “no no” from most drum teachers but it’s something that sets him apart so who cares. Minor stuff like that just adds to the uniqueness of the sound he is able to produce.
The beauty of this…..wasn’t even technically his first take, usually they listen to the whole song, then they try it, maybe a few times, he just jumped straight in mid first listen

He is an experienced session drummer...
Chad is not just a drummer. He is a MUSICIAN
This just shows how he plays with pure vibe and instinct.
Chad smith is undoubtedly a legend👑. drummer and musician in masterclass 🔥
Chad Smith gets me emotional when he plays because he's that brilliant. I feel his soul through his playing just like when I hear somebody sing beautiful through their soul, I feel it. I'm a singer myself so I can just feel when somebody is passionate
I've always been a Red Hot Chili Peppers fan but this video showed people like myself how much of a drumming genius that Chad Smith is
One thing a lot of people miss out is....Chad started playing drums when he was 7, which means he's been playing drums for 50 years. Yes, 50 years. There's a lot of experience in that man most people don't see.
I fuggin love you AR! You understand things better than so many people. Truly appreciating the skills!

Duuuuddde! This is amazing! One of my favorite songs and he is banging it out!!! BTW, I know you from Black Pegasus. 😁

30 seconds to Mars reacted to it on TikTok and were impressed. The drummer and lead singer are brothers
Their reaction was as boring as the background music they play these days. It was barely a reaction and more two men doing faces to the camera like clowns.

The coheed and cambria drummer is amazing to watch with interesting style and a lot of passion.
Brilliant!... love the drums love Chad. Didn't know he did this. Thanks for the new rabbit hole!

Killed it. Watch the other ones. They listen take notes then go. He's the goat.

Who knew will farrell was so good at drumming
One of my favorite all time top o the list drummers ever. Dude eats em for breakfast

This is SO much better than the BMTH cover
Unbelievable. Goated
If you wanna see an absolute BEAST of a drummer check out Austin Archey into the earth drum video that he did for Meinal cymbals 😊
30 seconds to mars was the shit and the kill was so good the music video so edgy but soooo trippy for the time.
"He's killing it"
I see what you did there 😆
Your Words are so true!
Amazing 🔥
Exactly PASION ❤ my god thats the word ❤ LOVE IT SUPER LIKE 👍
GIGA CHAD!
I used to think we had missed out because we didn't get to see Michaelangelo paint, but this is that
If you ever think drums aren't important, Chad's minor changes in the drumming made me like this song for the first time.
Chad Smith was "The Kill"er on this song!!!
BROOOOOO! You gotta check out Harry Mack's guerrilla bars 55. The best I've ever seen him. and the 13 min one take at vidcon is badass.
you gotta watch II from Sleep Token do a whole set of songs, it’s wild
🔥🔥🔥💙💙💙💥💥💥
You gotta check out Luke Holland Drums cuz it shows him playing several Falling In Reverse songs live with the band (camera set up for watching Luke specifically) and some videos where he is drumming for MGK live.

Just wow!
Great reaction
Чед Смит лучший. Боже как я его люблю. ❤❤❤❤
PLEASE check out “Metal Drummer Hears Led Zeppelin for the First Time” from Drumeo!! Says KILLS that performance
Almost........
Im so like this song but With version Chad is very so good 🤟
Chad is the Harry Mack of drums.
Chad is a goat!!!
My dude looks like a B grade Mac from "Its Always Sunny in PHI"
It's really unfair the amount of talent that's in RHCP.
Gotta check out Chad Smith pt 2 on Drumeo
what part 2?
I’m not sold that he’d never heard this song. It was too on. He’s a genius drummer though.

Ghost noting the crap out of that Bass drum. Should change how you drummers understand different beats. Bass player talking. Love this

Please reaction MC ABDUL "shouting at the wall"
ayyy i'm early !
It's gonna be wild seeing your reaction to him playing Bring Me The Horizon in a year 🤣
Just messing, but you're definitely way late on this.
please react on antf season 1 final battle
The beauty of this…..wasn’t even technically his first take, usually they listen to the whole song, then they try it, maybe a few times, he just jumped straight in mid first listen
I like this one, but I think he kinda butchered the BMTH one
He made that shit better lol
@@IceIceShady idk that song is really big and epic sonically. The tribal drums, while they worked, took a lot away from the hugeness of the sound
He has to be on cocaine lol either way when I first saw this when it came out and he impressed the hell out of me.
