    8:06 Sniper rounds are not that big. The typical sniper rifle projectile is maybe half the size of your pinky finger. But to your point a .50 cal riffle would also struggle to get through the glass/armor of the Beast. It would take several shots to deteriorate the glass to get penetration.

    I think we have to remember that type of glass is more plastic than glass so even several high caliber rounds in the same spot are not enough to penetrate. You have to understand that polycarbonates are crazy nowadays and that’s just on the civilian side, imagine what "the beast" has

    Leval10 glass clad polycarbonate is the strongest bullet-proof glass available to civilians. The beast is rumored to have a level 20 special composite glass rated to stop 20 mm armor penetranting rounds.

    There are other "features" about the presidents motorcade that the video didnt discuss that are rumored to be in place and "common knowledge" but never admitted to.
    Things like:
    - The Limos having night vision windshields to be able to drive in complete darkness
    - The limo can withstand rocket and missile attacks
    - One of the SUV's having a built in minigun that the roof of the SUV opens and the machinegun operated by an agent pops into view for combat situations
    - The motorcade is shadowed by a military drone or two for combat and survelliance
    - snipers try to position along the route for added protection and counter sniper duty
    - sensors that can instantly identify which direction a gunshot came from (they started using this technology in Afghanistan)
    Lets just say that the Presidential motorcade is insane. And this is all the stuff they LET you know about. Im sure there are secrets about it we will never know.

    8:02 nah bro. You’re thinking of a 50 BMG round, which is huge, but it’s about the size of the beginning of your hand (where wrist meets the hand) to the tip of your pinky finger. As to if the 50 BMG will be stopped by the glass, the true capability is probably classified.

    Joe Biden flew to London for the Queen’s funeral. I’m surprised that everyone in London wasn’t aware of his motorcade. I do know that all other foreign leaders had to share vehicles going through the city, while the US President was the only one allowed his own limousine. I imagine his motorcade was with him. I’d be interested if anyone else knows more about this trip.

  • @TonyTony-iw5sf
    @TonyTony-iw5sf 4 дня назад +1

    About the sniper bullets. Yes your right so many different bullets that could penetrate that glass, and they are aware of that. That’s why that glass, has doubled layers of very thick glass, not sure the number thickness, I’m guessing two layers if 8 inches glass I think, not sure, but it is really thick that even 50 caliber bullets would not go trough.

  • @momentary_

    The glass used in the Beast is unlike any commercially available bulletproof glass. It would be extremely expensive for Tesla to use this glass in their vehicles.

  • @pickin4you
    @pickin4you 4 дня назад

    I have been a shooter for over 55 years. There is no bullet as long as you were showing with your hands. A bullet can be about as long as 1 1/2”. That’s it. Now the case it is in can be 4” long, but that’s about it. Anything longer and it would have to be fired from a tank or a fighter jet. A rifle just does not shoot anything that large. Yes there are so called armor piercing bullets, but they still cannot penetrate that glass. It’s over an inch thick. Maybe closer to two inches thick. So unless someone has a tank, it’s not getting through. And the secret service would have seen the tank and taken those guys out and stopped the procession and rerouted it. They plan for about 7 different routes in case something pops up. There are several forward groups watching for these and will tell the motorcade to take a certain detour in case of this. They are always very well prepared and have checked all this out a week before the motorcade is set to go.

    At my last job (worked in IT there). The previous VP came to the company for a speech to the employees (thousands of employees). The amount of pre work we had to do (again in IT) to prepare the event was insane. On top of that, there was a motorcade, agent snipers on surrounding buildings, helicopter and who know what else that wasn't visible to the naked eye.
    I can't imagine the amount more that would have been done if it was the President and not the VP. They definitely don't mess around.

  • @aaronbeatdown
    @aaronbeatdown 5 дней назад

    In terms of the smoke screen, I'd imagine it's just set off by body damage. Any sort of hit that the car could take wouldn't be friendly. The motorcade doesn't stop so there's no risk of rear end collisions in either direction. The roads are closed on the sides long before the President is anywhere close, so any collision would be intentional, and that's what would set it off.
    Comparing Tesla to the Beast is just dumb. It'd be like comparing an apple to steak. Both are food I guess, but the buck stops there. The Beast is closer to a tank than it is to any regular vehicle. When Tesla went to showcase their "bulletproof windows", their demonstration showed that someone throwing a baseball did significant damage. It's the same company that you can brick your car for hours just because you went through a car wash. The Beast is a tank disguised as a "regular" looking vehicle, except the Beast is much better. It's hermetically sealed for god's sake.

    That last one about the IR smoke is dumb. An RPG has no active guidance, it's "fire and forget." So if the attacker has good aim, it's going to hit regardless of the smoke. What's more likely is that Secret Service marksmen positioned on rooftops would recognize the threat and take measures to eliminate it.

    A Presidential Motorcade is truly something to see -- Columbus Ohio is always a campaign spot (well anywhere in Ohio)...but my office was on 270 highway (outerbelt) and I sat right next to the window...270 is very heavy traffic pretty much all day -- I knew Obama was in town for the campaign for re-election...but I glanced out window and noticed absolutely NO traffic on 270 -- initially I thought must be a terrible accident . . . but then I see all these lights coming . . and then literally a parade rolling down the highway . . . I will say it is impressive....
    When the President goes to a foreign country - all this comes with him on a military plane!! I did have to chuckle at the Queen's lying in State when the Presidents from other counties all came together in a bus .... and about 30 min later - Biden's massive motorcade pulled up...but no other President is at as high a risk of being assassinated then the American President sadly...

    Obvious, there are munitions that would likely penetrate to some degree. The logistics of anyone acquiring them and putting them in place make it a losing proposition. All of this is last-ditch protection. Optimally, any attempt would be detected before it could be attempted. Buildings along the route are examined for threat potential. And there are more agents watching along the route than those in the motorcade. Look at what is routinely don't with just commercial wildlife video from helicopters to see how easy it would be to see what's happening behind an open window in a dark office. And never discount the local detective force of officers who are so familiar with their ground that they likely will spot any anomaly. Moving an anti-tank weapon into place would expose operators to so many chances of discovery that there would be virtually no chance of success. In the video, they fudged by having the target visible in the window. But in reality, one of the oldest ploys in protection is to place a similar size target in the alternate vehicle. Advanced scouting by accomplices wouldn't work with even the license plates identical and position in the convoy changed along the way. And you can't presight a massive weapon when you don't know where on the road it will be. Aside from the problems of timing. Persons known as threats are surveyed and tracked ahead of visits. It's no particular trick to get the weapon. There are plenty of radicals within the military. But absolutely every part of the plan would have to get it just right. Any suspicion that a major weapon had gone missing would trigger a massive response by Secret Service electronic surveillance until the actual operators were identified. And there would still be such an element of luck that no one is going to make that kind of effort on chance. Such an operation would require sophisticated operators with state funding and excellent intel support. And that level of operator is not willing to do a suicide mission or face certain capture. And you can pretty well figure that part of the planning is setting the very best operators to designing ways to kill the president. And you don't get that from places like Iran. And no major state is going to risk being revealed as behind it. When Kennedy was killed, and it became known that Oswald had been in the Soviet Union and in contact with KGB, the KGB executive was terrified that a loose cannon within their organization was behind it and investigated intensively.
    And simply getting the route right makes it difficult. There are no reliable available elevated offices in most city centers. Where there are such, motorcades don't go. It's a fairly simple matter to design a route that is always either passing fully occupied offices or areas with no nearby clear structures.

    14:00 there are active sensors much like the Israeli "trophy" system which are integrated into the the beast to provide a 360 degree of identification of hi-velocity munitions that are targeting the vehicle, and classified systems to counter them. Although the video is inaccurate as the cenario shows an unguided rpg-7 which would not be picked up by sensors until it is too late. But the whole route of the president would have been screened well before hand so that threat would have to be a magical scenario in which to hostile would some how last second get his hands on a military grade rpg

  • @kodiak138
    @kodiak138 11 дней назад

    rpg 7 which is the basis of all versions are not lock on weapons, anything more sophisticated is extremely expensive and most likely couldn't be used or even available for someone attempting an attack in a city from a street as it usually needs a vehicle to be mounted on with all the electronics involved. Visual conformation of the man with the rpg would be needed to deploy a reg rpg. What the vid didn't talk about are all the operatives scattered across the city on buildings watching for anything that could appear before the motorcade, also if somehow there was a lock-on from a sophisticated weapon system I am sure the Beast has IR detection systems in place that will automatically deploy counter measures. but all in all so many eyes on everything that guy jumping out of the van would be seen instantaneously and hopefully be negated before a successful launch and or confirmed hit on the vehicle could occur.

    Sometimes bombs ( or other diversions ) are to direct, redirect , or push the target to a location ( trap ) or point where the kill can be easily executed. Also; if planned route, the Secret Service would have the Manhole Cover welded shut and checked at intervals. Think of a mass shooter in a heavily populated building shooting with the intent to force people to flee the building via its exits ( pinch points ). Waiting outside at each exit is the means to kill many at one time. FYI: The president’s vehicle(s) glass / doors are NOT a single pane … they’re very thick and extremely heavy… unlike any vehicle. “The Beast” is a media name and not the White House. There is more that is NOT told.
