Yes opinion is what it is, buying land in Ghana is not a gamble if you follow the laws and regulations in Ghana. I'm Ghanaian myself and I'm victim too. I lose a lot of land in Accra simple because I failed to apply centain laws.
@@blacksantaria3642You can get scammed everywhere but she said ''she failed to apply certain laws.'' There has always been a risk in investing in developing countries due to corruption, so you either take the risks or leave it. Nothing is perfect at the end of the day.
This same Goblack guy I remember did a video saying he will never buy land or do any business IN GHANA. Only to return back looking for areas he can invest in. He even met WODEMAYA and took him to go and check some businesses in town.
I have watched your video and that of Ekow Simpson and a full Ghanaian but living in the diaspora. What you said is 💯 truth, buying land in Ghana is a gamble and it’s a fact. There is no simple clear path to land ownership in Ghana 🇬🇭 and trust me when I say this. People will disagree but that’s reality. The new land act 2020(ACT 1036) was enacted to resolve some of the issues pertaining to land acquisition in Ghana. However some factions have disagreed and disassociated themselves from the land act claiming they have their own rules governing their land. Which is understandable. People keep saying do a land search 🔦 lol yes the search will show the owners name however it will never show that the owner or said persons are selling or sold the land to 3 or 4 individuals who will later be fighting for the possession of the land. Let’s be honest it’s a gamble to buy land in Ghana 🇬🇭. This can happen to anyone and it’s been happening because of ownership issues. However there are countless success stories but we must only agree to one ☝️ thing that we need a clear path to land ownership in Ghana 🇬🇭. @ IAmleslie your can put a few people on to dialogue on this.
But this land in particular wasn't sold it was leased with condition and they didn't deal with any individual or cheif it was the government and the said place is in fact a government property
@@majidrayamah9002 very well understood but who will lease land and build structures knowing one day they will come and pull it down. Did the assembly have a court order to pull down the structures? Land issues in Ghana 🇬🇭 has no definite process. Try and read the new land act 2020(ACT 1036) A 164 page document. We don’t have a straight forward process it’s a gamble.
@@TheSENYO I am in the construction industry as a civil engineer and have a background as a building inspector at the Metropolitan Assembly in Takoradi so boss i know what am taking about. this land in question was even leased during the 90's by the government with conditions. Note: every land issue in Ghana is unique depending on it previous status and history so you dont jut go buying lands anyhow.
@@majidrayamah9002 senior I very much understand you but we all use those words “ I know what am saying” it’s a common phrase. I asked, did the assembly get a court order for demolition. I still maintain that buying land in Ghana is a gamble. You only hope nothing happens.
Black folks don’t give up on Ghana 🇬🇭 and land buying there. This is normal with a country as young as Ghana 🇬🇭. Think of this as post birth complications as the mother heals from having a child. 60 years guys is the age of Ghana, not hundreds of years and even thousands of years for some nations. All of this will get ironed out in time especially with us there. A lot of good change will come out of this watch my word. Even in America it’s been many cases of land theft so let’s not play like this is uniquely a Ghanaian thing. Even right now in America someone can go online with fake documents and cease possession of your home and legally take it in 2023. Just recently a black man in Florida home was stolen and sold. We can’t give up on Ghana 🇬🇭, I truly believe it’s our last hope in mass. What’s the alternative staying in America 🤨. America literally put to sleep millions of people and stole all the land so this doesn’t even compare.
We don't give a fuck if they don't come to Ghana. You guys are so dramatic. Just leave. You guys are quick to buy land without understanding anything Ghana.
Good God, u just said it all! Deep! We can't just give up on a very young country like Ghana! Young, but moving quite fast as compared to others!! Laws, Regulations, and a little control, and they'll be ok. That's why they need us there to teach them how. This is what lawlessness looks like! Just a lot of trial and error right now, tho no one wants to be the guinea pig,,,not a good position to be in!
Thank you! It’s beginning to appear as African Americans move to Africa and lost a sewing pin, then start making noise as if they’ve never lost anything in America before or dealt with worse situations in America. Let’s stop making it seem like AA’s are unique to issues when they’re in Africa.
If you want Ghana or any other African country to step up and give people who are willing to invest in their country a fair deal then go to Namibia or Botswana where you can buy the free hold its like two shops side by side the one who treats their customers the best will obviously get all the customers no disrespect to Ghana im sure it still has other good things going for it, but Africa needs to wake up millions want to return , its more than meet and greet at the airport and naming cerimonies , this is Peoples Livelyhoods we are taking about😕✌peace out

What about lokal people, what about fishermans, what about streetchildren? And NO for Gay hotell, for the best of Ghana. The chief who said go on for that has to resign!!!

Absolutely!! I've been researching Ghana since last year 2022 in hopes to relocate but this has me rethinking. Honesty and humility isn't reserved for other Countries and/or Continents. And not everyone is coming into Ghana to do business but to simply come home. Shame shame...
You also want to check that your potential land is not in litigation, and that the government hasn’t earmarked your land for something in the future. When it comes to leasehold, always check to know how much is left, plus you should negotiate with the seller an extension and cost before signing. Having a lawyer is a great idea. Fabulous content.

Leslie that area is a government land and there are soo many properties yet to demolished in ghana. You need to careful when paying land especially if is a government land. Is not just african americans they doing this to they do that to ghanaians as well.
Thanks for your honest thoughts and opinions. I appreciate it.This event should awaken many people out of their fantasies about Ghana. Honesty and transparency seem to be in very short supply when it comes to buying anything from native Ghanaians.
I have just watched Ekow simpson video about this issue. He at least went and asked questions. For example the Israelites who bought the land paid only 1000 ghana cedi of 5000 ghana cedi for the land. Ekow will make a video with the ghanaian govenement entity who destroyed that place. Will wait until i make my conclusions. Always have 2 sides of a story
Talking about investing as a large community and getting insurance to protect the investment us always a good thing to discuss. I definitely will watch his video. His video is objectively done. My video is commentary.
I definitely wanted to invest in Ghana but not after seeing videos on this situation. I will definitely visit but JUST visit the country, I don’t think we are wanted by all there so I’m good on any business dealings there. It’s sad we can’t work with our own people but it is what it is.
Bro we are hospitable and welcoming to all. Even us local Ghaneans deal with these issues. Has nothing to do with African Americans. The government needs to be more organized and have a title search companies in place to prevent this nonsense. They’re working on it and it’s better today than it used to be. If you do your due diligence, you’ll be ok.
you sound like somebody who gas never travelled outside the US before. Stop being judgemental. People like you will never prosper because you listen to others too much. If I was like you, I would never have acquired 3 pieces of land In Ghana as a foreigner... two in East legon and 1 in East kegon hills. I have rental properties that give me a fantastic income. STAY WHERE YOU ARE
Leslie. There was a 28 year failure to pay the 5000 Cedis that was the purchase price for a 50 year lease, with agreement for negotiation after 25 years. Only 1000 Cedis were paid since 1994😳. I don't blame the owner for demolishing the house. In fact, they were Extremely patient and gracious.
I’m waiting for the second video of Ekow Simpson. He is investigating. All I’m saying is insure your development with insurance to give international investors peace of mind and build in large numbers. Demolishment avoided. Thanks Paul for actually listening to the whole video.
@@iAmLeslieJones yeah, how about LLC that can oversee the property ( a holding?) So it can insure in bulk. That way total value may reach the $1 million minimum.
Leslie, I think you are doing a great job and very knowledgeable about things in Ghana but sometimes you need to do the research and get the proper information before making these comments, remember, you are talking to people in the diaspora who are sometimes critical about purchasing property in Ghana, so I beseech you to get the proper info before commenting.
Ooo Kile. I haven’t got to that point in Ghana yet. I have a S-corp in the states and plan establishing it in west Africa. I haven’t got to the process yet but I have the application for it. Such a good recommendation. I’m impressed
Which is why I commented on developing in larger number and purchasing insurance to mitigate risk. This video is literally to bring peace of mind to the diaspora and still encourage to invest in Ghana. Not to investigate the situation. If you are looking for a objective video watch Ekow Simpson video. I tagged it in the description box. My video is subjective with a referral to contact.
I agree in building cities. But I am not convinced Ghana is the best place to establish large scale cities. First, the government must be welcoming to us on a level above tourism or right to abode. For example, the current government in Sierra Leone has invited returning diasporans the ability to set up a city. They offer citizenship outright to anyone that can establish DNA connection but also others can live there and establish citizenship after 8 years for those that don't qualify for immediate citizenship.
@@iAmLeslieJones Great! My family and I did so this past December 6th. The benefits outweigh the disadvantages. As a citizen of an ECOWAS member nation, so many things become possible, not to mention, your dual citizenship will allow you to protect your independence.
There was this black American woman who moved to Ghana in the 80s, purchased land there, and was happy. She loved Ghana and the people. One day, her children get a call on the phone being informed about her death. The locals killed her, stole her land, buried her in a shallow grave. I don't encourage black Americans to move to Ghana.
Leslie I think folks should also consider buying into house or apartment developments as a first step to returning - then they can spend the time and strategies needed to own Land - but there is no better place to invest one’s time helping to build a renewed Africa - help build the systems , contribute even with the disfunctions
Honest question for you Ajani. If the development is foreign built and the money invested will go back to their country and you are under their leasehold would you still consider buying? The reason I ask. When I had a real estate agent. She put a market research plan with most of the developments. All was foreign owned accept one. I was turned of by that and was encouraged to purchase land from a PM. I knew bare land was African owned.
@@iAmLeslieJones Thank you for considering my thoughts on this and I know you have deep knowledge on this subject - I think the ownership rights are most important and the flow of capital secondary - all capital flows back to foreign hands anyway - So if it’s a lease and not a purchase to own then no I wouldn’t unless I felt the lease was secure for a number of years and I could get a return while I go and learn the lay of the land and the system “ - but there are developments where you own the apartment or house -As you’ve said we have to be practical , sober and not over idealistic. The ideal we want has to built and it will likely take many years ahead of us - For instance there is Ayi Mensah Park and Embassy” apartments in Cantonment- I’ve visited Ghana once and I know that “random risks” are there but there are “risk managed” paths that may be best suited for returning Africans until the learning comes - just a thought
Too all African American and other foreigners. When you but a land in Ghana to build a business or to build a house to live in in Ghana or elsewhere. You do not legally own the land. The land that you "own" does not belong to you. The land is does not belong to the government of Ghana. The paramount chiefs and the local chief controls the land no one including the citizens of the 16 regions do not OWN the land exclusively. Regardless of any legal paper that you possess. This is not the western world of owning a land. Ghana is rules by chiefs of all the regions in Ghana.
I worked in land commission before. And I’d like to give advice to anyone who wants to buy a land in anywhere in Ghana. Before you buy land let the owner of the land give you a site plan. Go to land commission and do search. Search means to find out if the person selling you the land was right to sell the land. Before you made any payments. Thank you.
I tried investing in east Africa but I got off on the wrong foot. I agree with your suggestion that we should go with large numbers and not individual basis. The world of business is mzungu designed hence they tend to accomplish their goals. Also, President Nana was a big turn off for me.

They are just surprised and wondering how this land stuff is possible like this? Stop it! I'm Ghanaian too, but I'm not blind or deaf!
The same things can happen in America. Greed and corruption is everywhere. I had some land in The Woodlands, TX that I bough 5 years previous in a growing area. The land had tripled in value and people were building mansions on these properties. The bank that I was paying the loan off tried to foreclose on the land saying that I missed payments. But, it was impossible since I had it automatically coming out of my bank account for five straight years. My bank said not to worry because it was easily documented and they said it was very suspicious that they would try to do that. The only thing they could surmise is that they were trying to get their hands on my valuable property. My problem was resolved without going to court. So, I would say if you are going to buy land in Ghana or any country get with a land attorney and let them handle your business. Let them dot your i's and cross your t's. It is worth the extra money.
I’m building in the Winneba area and there are just too many unknowns to recommend that anyone else go through what I’ve been through. If you don’t have patience and deep pockets of cash you will become very discouraged dealing with blacks from the west trying to build Pan African communities and Ghanaians! Building in Ghana is not for the faint of heart, period!
15,000 folks from Ghana lost their homes and were torn down long before African Americans came back home to the motherland!’!!!!!! . But these were individuals!!!! This means not just operating on a high scale but loving our unique culture and experiences. Yes Ghana has its own culture that must be respected and recognized but so do we!!!. Great video Leslie!!!!!!! Also the take down of that property was about greed, not because of some late fees, or lack of payment for licensing or due because of a lack of permits for the vegan restaurant , or because they were warned to come in and discuss the issues. Why why are we having to deal with leases. I refuse to agree to a 50 or 99 year lease! No I will get citizenship

You just don't leave a wreck situation to jump out in traffic that's leaving the US to Africa. Ghana had a great plan to be an open door for diaspora and many black Americans did not realize it was about business not family. I realize they are not offering black Americans no more then any other nationality that being said there's no citizenship efforts for those who have been taken through the transatlantic slave trade. My motto is do not buy land where you are not a citizen for you leave yourself wide open for disaster. What if the local government want to get rid of all the investors are those who they may fall out with politically. If you young get citizenship first. And keep your money in a u.s. Bank. If you're older it doesn't make sense Dubai property anyway. For your children are not going to leave America rat race and pull their kids out of School and sale their mortgage home. We are living in some perilous if you don't know look at what's going on around the world things can change on you overnight. People may look like you but he don't give a damn when it comes down to it they will steal Rob and kill in a blink of an eye. Rwanda was a great example and many other places around the globe has similar incidents the US has had its Rwanda in Asia has had its Rwanda as well and also Germany has had its Rwanda the Congo has had its Rwanda including Liberia and Haiti also Venezuela.
Ghanaians also experienced the same thing if u don't do the right things and we should keep our Europeans mindset at where we are and act differently whenever we go African. Ask urselves why other nationals are doing business over there but can't do the same over there. We are just too loudmouth, complaining and acting like kids and very sensitive to problems. Send ur money to whenever you want and those who are prepared to solve problems will succeed over there period
I am urging everyone here to watch Ekow Simpson’s video concerning this matter. Some people think they can take advantage of us because it’s Africa. The laws are there. But there are thieves registering land in their names and selling. When the true owners show up, you will have purchased a stolen land. Example, Mr B is a teacher in Accra. He knows they have 100 acre family land in Aburi. Somebody else registers two acres in his/her name fraudulently and sells to diasporan and pockets the cash. My B goes back to Aburi 5 years later and there are people on the family land. All hell breaks loose. You get the point? Every Ghanaian knows this kind of story. Even while you are gone. Neighbors tear down their wall, rebuild it by expanding into your land, stealing 10 yard more.. to do anything in Ghana you need to be present!!! Whey u gear gay was the reason you should know there is more to it. Ghanaians don't hate that much unless there is some other influence going in. I think someone said money was owed for the land and it was not fully paid. Did seller disclose it the diasporan? No. Just because a person's name is in land records does not mean the land is free and clear to be sold. Hmmm... sounds like seller wanted nice cash from diasporans. Owners will still enforce verbal agreement, which is not in the land records!!! This story is all to common. Find out who the seller's family is, talk to them about the land. INVESTIGATE. Look for any additional info you can find about the land. Even hotels get demolished. This is nothing!
Do not give up on your rights to owning a land. You don't and won't own a land in America. This process is writing your own story and history. You have my support. It is harder in America

I’ve always said that we need to move back in large numbers as a community. That is why the other groups thrive! Home on wheels is the way for All kinds of returnees
How would the local community receive that? Black Americans converging on their neighborhood buying up property in masses? Would that displace them in anyway? That's what the Europeans and Asians are doing there, yes, but they are colonizing and exploiting.
Hard to know but I follow different channels they all said it was difficult, one big developer said there were many problems along the way. Maybe it's most safe to buy already build house and development that has been there for many years in a good neighborhood, but then it's probably quite expensive.
I initially was going to do that. Then I was told it’s more affordable to purchase land then build. The time and money if wasted will probably equal to what I would’ve paid for an already built structure. I also believe we should be able to build and not rely on already built structures. Most communities built already are not Ghanaian or African owned. Which is another reason I decided to purchase land. At least give to the community that way.
@iAmLeslieJones I love that you jumped into that adventure, such courage, but of cause sorry about the difficulty and struggle. Ghana should encourage and help people that wanna build up community and lives there. I hope it all turn out great in the end. As the Ghana proverb goes "If you’ve not been on someone else’s farm, you cannot say that you’re the only true farmer."

It's such a shame that "we" never learn how to talk! Ghana is a whole country consisting of 16 regions and ove 30million population, with different languages and traditions and traditional areas, so we can't just keep making blanket statements like "free land in Ghana!" U never heard that from anyone so u can't just say that! These days we have to watch what we are typing and spreading around. The free land is in a part of central region of Ghana, not all of Ghana!!l! It was offered for free to the diasporans to be able to move back peacefully with a place to live! Everything is already done by the chief, he has authority to do that in his village,. This is virgin land that's been sitting there for centuries with no specific owner, so if u get it now and get all your paperwork done for a few dollars and registered in your name, u are the first and only owner of it! U know all this already if u are mentioning it! U know diasporans have and are building on it now, and living there already! The chief is a JUDGE himself anyway. If u do things the right way and cross all your Ts, this nonsense wouldn't happen! U've seen them posting their stories on RUclips, so please, don't waste anyone's time by being negative and just dropping this here just because there's a topic about land here! Stop this! By the way, there's the final 500 acres being given out on that same land right now, hurry and get one if u are serious, and stop rumor mongering! I already have my 3plots with all my paperwork intact!

Buying land in any country should be done throughly and with due diligence.

Get insured and invest in large communities is the point in this video. It’s always a good time to talk about that.
Watch Ekow Simpson concerning this matter. People think they can take advantage of Ghana.
Solid point.

The same way they demolish Nigerian consulate. Ghanaians are sometimes else and always present to be good
Even though the place has been demolished but the mistake come from the buyer because the CCA invite the owner but didn't come
You also want to check that your potential land is not in litigation, and that the government hasn’t earmarked your land for something in the future.

I plan on getting my citizenship in Salone this year!

There was this black American woman who moved to Ghana in the 80s, purchased land there, and was happy. She loved Ghana and the people.
One day, her children get a call on the phone being informed about her death.
The locals killed her, stole her land, buried her in a shallow grave.

Leslie I think folks should also consider buying into house or apartment developments as a first step to returning - then they can spend the time and strategies needed to own Land - but there is no better place to invest one’s time helping to build a renewed Africa - help build the systems , contribute even with the disfunctions
That’s is a solid way to go about it as well. Thanks for contributing Ajani.
Yes I agree
Thank you.

I should buy land from the chief or a agency. I want to build 🙏🏿
Best wishes to ya!
You people will just watch someone video and conclude negatively. Ghana 🇬🇭 not only an African country.
Look Ghana is big and the Ashanti region is more peace to be and land is not a big issue to obtain there and infact you can also go through the some real estate like a community u said. But to be honest secure for today and secure for a better future for the children
I owned land with only a wall built around it for quite some time. The chieftancy in the area changed hands from one family to the other. The new chief contacted me to come give something since I had not done anything to the land mind you I owned this land free and clear and registered it at the Land Commision and all smh I quickly put a two bedroom boys quarters to end his constant inquiry as to what my plans were. What are you plans? Basically means give me something. I am a Ghanaian by the way and that might have delayed them in selling it to someone else. I am in the process of putting the main house on it as we speak.
Buying land in Ghana is easy.if u do due diligence and if ur name is in lands commission database in the region ur land is ,no court order can go against you.
I agree. Which is why I put the due diligence book together. www.vision-reality.com/due-diligence-e-book
My goal as diaspora is to provide water to the local populations but I need money to do so , if I want to help people I need huge money, to build infrastructures and such.....but I have not much so what can I do....😐😮💨

Leslie. I really enjoy your upbeat attitude in the middle of no matter what. Thank you for inspiring us. I am so shocked about this situation and cannot wait for updates when they come out. Ghana really looks bad over this one because it was an official who went breaking bad, not some run of the mill citizen. The Diaspora is watching. All the best in your endeavors!
I appreciate your encouragement. Thanks for watching ACE Ace.
@@iAmLeslieJones Ekow Sampson has put a video out explaining what happened prior to the demolition of the property.
IN BRIEF
The property was given to them in 1991 for 5000 Ghana cedi and they only paid 1000 Ghana cedi. It's 31 years today they never paid the outstanding amount of 4000 cedi. I am not condoning the demolition but they were supposed to honor the agreement. Honestly we all know that you can't do that shit in America (pardon my language) why do we think it's okay to do it to our own people?
The video @goblack2toAfrica has put out without investigating the other side of the story is evil.
Overall we still need to invest as diaspora in large numbers at the same time and insure our investment. I’m glad Ekow Simpson did that. His channel is objectively done. It’s what he is there for.
Ghana is looking bad for you but not for me. You guys always talk shit about Ghana and yet you still come here. Go elsewhere.
Just buy land in america then, or where ever you are, and boom, problem solved.
That’s always been a part of the plan.
Thank you for sharing Leslie.
NO problem 👍🏿
Greetings Sis, Can you interview or report on the municipality's decision to demolish the buildings to get the other side of the story for a balanced report? Thanks
Lol she won’t because she lying and lying to the audience
No one can destroy anything unlawfully in Ghana, rather people acquire these Lands unlawfully, I heard them screaming free Land here, free land there, beachfront here and there.
Unlawful Acquire. I like that. Honest question for you Africa 365. Who is responsible for unlawful Acquire?
@@iAmLeslieJones the buyer, will you blame Rolex for your Rowlex watch. people need to be careful. Go to the Lands commission. do your research. these things happen to everyone.
You have described Ghana very well. The absence of law and order is an absolute! Too many of us Expats have loss millions of dollars 😢
Stop that. No Diaspora has ever brought $ 1 million to Ghana. Stop that overhyping. Stop that your savior mentality.
Here is the actual FACTS ....ruclips.net/video/kNN7B-ui0zU/видео.html
When you see "Stop Work, Produce Permit on your building project, gett a lawyer fast. Never bribe your way just cos the locals are doing it. You may be bribing the wrong people who don't have any authority! Do you even know the right person to bribe???
The culture definitely has to be learned regarding land and outside of land. I have no regrets living in Ghana and going back and forth. I’ve learned so much. Eye opening. Plus I can make better decisions with knowing the ways of the land.
@@oseitututawiah2109 You may not know any, but I know over 6 people who have invested over a million in businesses here. Perhaps, you and I travel in different socioeconomic circles. 🤔. Besides, my point was all inclusive, not based on any individual's experience. Living here for 3 years has taught me a lot, from dealing with Land guards to encroachers. Like Leslie said, once you've learned the systems (or better yet the lack of systems here, ) you are better able to protect your investments and property.
Boy am buying land in Capecoast this is scary. But this does not stop me from moving to the motherboard. Pushing down someone building like this , its more than what we know. We have to get to the bottom of this.
Buy, your, land and do not listen to everything you hear, ask yourself why, this particular project was demolished. Watch Ekow Simpson p’s video about this matter.
If you buying land in Cape Coast the best person to contact is Mr Ekow Simpson. He has a utube site and you can check it. One of the good lawyer from Cape Coast is called Ato Amponsah Dadzie is office is in Accra. I have not spoken to him for a long time. We were school mates in high school. I was born in Cape Coast and had my elementary and high school education there. I have been in America for over 35 years. Cape Coast is a peaceful place. Things have changed a little. During the time I was there people don't lock their doors. If you steal they will turn on you.
Of course you are Ghanaian in disguise allow them to tell their truth
The question would be , is how much has "your" land appreciated under a said contract from the time of the agreement. If by a lot, I would be worried.
Get a service land from a developer and local Authority and you'll not have any issues...Sure they're very expensive but no issues.
If I want to gamble I'd rather take my money to Vegas or Wall St. That way I can save on airfare and all the other BS it will cost to get to Africa.
Stay at The Elara when you go yo Vegas! www.vision-reality.com/the-elara
They had a 49 yr lease I know someone from Ghana and he said he dont trust he people .
Ight we coming africa ❤️👍🏿💪🏿
To move African Americans in large numbers requires working together, that's something African Americans lack.
I’m not going to give up on the ideal. There’s ways to do it. Moving doesn’t have to be literal. Moving our money together is the main goal. We are already an economic powerhouse. We just need strategy to develop, a large enough group to do it, and trusted people to see it through. Not is easy but not impossible
We must try and stay focused
Leslie I heard the land commission does not keep updated paper work on houses very well be they transferred, in litigation, or own by a chief or other family members, or paying off land guards. It’s a freaking mess!!!!!! I mean seriously two black women were killed!!! We must move not just in large numbers but organized in large very large numbers. Power respects power!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok. Try violence in Ghana, forgetting there’s a police force and military. Good luck.
@@awula5385 My sister, the skin heads, Nazis, KkK , white nationalists, Christian so called right is arming themselves as we text. Good luck to you. Why don't you try other African countries, you might love it there
First of all, Thank You for the first 4 Minutes. It told me everything I needed to know!
There are no established norms for foreign or citizenship land ownership
There are no established property rights
This isn't by accident this is by design! Someone wants it and their gonna use one of those land grab rules they either fabricate or come up with.
PS I did my DNA test! I'm a Mende, so my story is very different. GL

@@Seattle206723 you are WELCOME HERE!!
I agree my friend
How did you know the demolition was unlawful? Have you made any investigation or you're just here passing judgment. You're not the only one who's traveled to Ghana and your careless experience is not the experience of every one else. Why would you even try to gamble in a place that you've never been before? You can't just go to a place and think you can just go and grab everything for yourself just because it's Africa.
most people don't do their dudilligence..... that includes Ghanaians and the diaspora, then complain when things go belly up.
Also this means trusting and working with each other. Many will say this ship of trust has sailed! But I disagree Pan Africanism is real. Let’s make Macus Gravery and Harriet Tubman proud. I know I am in willing !!!!!! Yes we must protect are own!!!!!! Ghana culture is beautiful but Black Americans have experiences and culture also. One last statement Leslie, some or many Pan Africans will not want to work with the world Bank!! Unfortunately, our different ideology beliefs , and religious beliefs , and political discourse will hinder certain possibilities. Just starting such a venture will require serious meetings and multiple debates, attempts and restructuring!!!!!!! But all is not loss!!!!!! ❤
Great video and good info

I’ve always said that we need to move back in large numbers as a community. That is why the other groups thrive!
Home on wheels is the way for All kinds of returnees
Yes! Prefabricated housing. No other way for me
How would the local community receive that? Black Americans converging on their neighborhood buying up property in masses? Would that displace them in anyway? That's what the Europeans and Asians are doing there, yes, but they are colonizing and exploiting.
@@iAmLeslieJones Yes. Then if so, we can just drive to another location.
The ecepeptions are not the rule , majority of land buyers have no problem including my self .
As the Ghana proverb goes "If you’ve not been on someone else’s farm, you cannot say that you’re the only true farmer."
you are right
Thing is a uniform policy for the diaspora across the continent is the only solution you need to come the way you went out in millions then and only then will you succeed long term
Also Leslie, you said it was unlawful, it is imperative that you do a follow up video and explain exactly what went down with this demolition so people could understand, thank you.
I’ve also provided links. The third link in the description box is the head chief of cape coast saying it was an unlawful act. The second link in the description box is Ekow Simpson who is doing an investigative series on the matter. Subscribe to his channel for details. Thanks, u answer my questione mental abuse is abuse black our white I am disappointed I don't need the stress I am staying where I am I am praying for u
What I know goes to everyone Whether you’re African-American Ghanaian or anyone else if you buy a land in Ghana the law says is up to 100 years after 100 years and may be you have property on the land and don’t have extended family or sell it and you have died not giving to anyone the owners of the land can take their land back that what I know and it has not happened before
Second let me tell you in Ghana government don’t own the land apart from forest reserve any land government has bought from the chiefs so be-careful not to buy government land that were you will get problem some of government land is for lease not for sale
Thank you.
Leslie! You're ON POINT! Yeah!
I appreciate you. Build in large numbers and insure investment. That’s all I’m trying to say brotha. 👍🏿
What's your thoughts on the "free" land in Ghana.
I heard it exist. I know no one who owns freehold land.
@@iAmLeslieJonesMmmmmmm
There are many videos about people building on asebu land which is the free land
