No American party's everyday, eats out everyday and tips everyday in America. You don't go to Ghana and do things that you would not do in America on a daily basis such as, entertain yourself everyday and tip everywhere. The focus should be how to establish a source of income first.
The issue of the locals not seeing job opportunities in the country is simply because most locals don't even have the initial amount to invest into a business while those from the diaspora come in well prepared in terms of capital. The difference is, you can make a huge income in Ghana when you invest into the right business that's all 🤷🏾♂️
@Silent Baiter, Most of the businesses in Ghana are local Ghanaians. Most of the rich people in Ghanaians are Ghanaians. It seems they are talking about opportunities for the less unfortunate.
Ghanaians who move to USA do not become successful immediately or in 12 months. It takes 5 to 10 years. People expect to be successful in Ghana in a year. That is a tall order.
@Hayford, there are many estate establishments (sub divisions) where there is no water off, lights off and there is high speed internet. So, if a person has money that person can be comfortable. If you don't have enough money then you have to bath from a bucket.
i really enjoy your interviews. You are transparent - just being real; it's good to know the good/the bad to give one the opportunity to plan ahead but that will not make us change our minds! thank you. And your guest is very thoughtful, giving honest answers. thank you both 🙏🏽👍🏽
I am a Ghanaian and I get treated like a foreigner when I am in Ghana. The point is Ghanaians in Ghana treat everyone, Ghanaian or non Ghanaians as foreigners.
@BayouBeezy, It is wrong. The point is is not only Americans that get that type of treatment. Do you understand? People considered foreigners can be charged a little more. Some Americans and foreigners get cheated in America, Canada, Europe, etc. I have experience cheating in NY with taxi drivers. That is in America. The banks, phone companies, businesses in America do cheat people. Same in Canada and Europe. Humans are just greedy. Do not expect angels in Africa so, open" your eyes and let your common sense work.
Life is not about fantasies...there are so many opportunities in Africa but unfortunately Africans did not see and constantly going on about the negatives
@Okey, some Africans only see the negatives. Most of the rich people in Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Togo are locals. They are made in Africa rich people. Only poor minded people will not see the opportunities. If a person complains all the time that person can not see the opportunities.
I see not being judge by the color of your skin and seeing systems in place to deliberately disrespect you as a humana being. How is that for starters?
You always say, “moving back”. Why? Can you correct yourself? You interview people who have not been to Ghana before but you always say to them, you are moving back. Some of them replied that, this is their first time. Your understanding of it is different from the way they understand it so you should try to stop saying “moving back moving back”. Have a good day.

@Osei You need to correct yourself or think critically. These are descendants of African forcibly removed from the motherland and are returning to reclaim their heritage. What phrase or words better describe that moving back ? Gosh , you’re talking but saying nothing!
I actually agree. I'm Ghanaian but born and raised in the UK and thinking about moving to Ghana. Black people outside of Africa have been moving back to Ghana before Ghana became Ghana in 1957.
