Just acquired one, no problem locating the d-loop. Locking was difficult so I reversed the opening so it’s facing out. I’m using the lightest settings with the trigger exposed. Haven’t used a wrist release for years getting use to the concept again. Having a leather strap to pull to full draw felt uncomfortable but secure. The release has a novelty factor, unfortunately with novelties it doesn’t last. The finger area is to small for me if I use the back of my finger. If you don’t use the right part of your finger, you will struggle to release. As I said a novelty but not a good design. After two day shooting and one incident hitting my face I’ve sent it back. Of course is only my experience.
Glad I watched this video I’ve seen these releases and have wondered about them, I’ve been shooting a Tru-Fire release for 12-13 years and looking to get a new one. I think I’ll give this one a try.
Golden Key Futura had a similar release years ago, target panic is a condition in the mind and cannot be cured but it can be controlled! This release will help!
Target panic ? Ok , I’m always looking and trying to figure out how to dial in my shooting . Getting better is what it’s all about. Been shooting with the spot Hogg wise guy for 3/4 years now . So we’ll see if an old dog can learn a new trick -
Looks like it will actually increase the draw length because of the head being so far forward, people would have to bring their bow into a shop to have the draw length of the bow shortened up to accommodate this release
From hand placement to string Its pretty short. Since its completely different than anything else I'm sure some will want a adjustment but most will be fine. I'm still looking forward to spending some time with it.
kind of like the aspect of this, part back tension part index.. maybe a good starting point to begin my transition from fingers to release....guess i just have to start saving my pennies hope it is still around when i get the pennies saved...
When shot in the back tension style you keep firm finger pressure on the back pieces and when the trigger gets to your finger its breaks clean. I'll have one in a few weeks and I'll explain more.
I guess I'm a noob because I'm not sure what target panic is. I've heard of "buck fever" as my gramps used to call it back in the 70's-80's but never target panic. Do people actually get that tweaked out about "pulling a trigger" whether that's a thumb or index? Also, I paid $190 for my full bear attitude setup with case and arrows so yeah, $160 is a lot of cash for a release. Don't you worry about premature release with this?
target panic is a lot of different things. it could mean slapping a trigger, timing a swinging pin, pushing a low pin up because you cant quite acquire a target with posture, or just simply not caring and a "close enough" attitude leads a shooter to believe that a impact could possibly result better than the target acquisition. some actually get a adrenaline rush and freak out when they look through a peep. it means different things to different people. 90% of it is mental. As a new shooter its your choice to develop good or bad habits. unfortunately its a pay to play game and the majority will spend 9-10x what you're enjoying. just remember they're not having any more fun. I currently have $50-2500 bows and i love sending arrows down range from all of them.
@@davelambardo6464 I have to say this you were right and both releases were amazing but now my girlfriend is pregnant and I am hoping that my new archery skills are enough to feed us! The grouping is tight and reminds me of, never mind. Lol
Just got mine and I'm sending it back. Nice concept terrible design. The strap that holds the main hook requires a 90 deg twist so it fights you when trying to grab the d-loop. Also it is a strap not a solid pivoting fold back rod like on the Hardcore but rather a floppy strap that dangles so again hard to quickly locate. The trigger is awkward to pull for the release and tends to pull the alignment off rather than straight back. To grab the d-loop you have to put the hook over the loop then push a button, again awkward. The hook type like the Hardcore is much faster and more positive. I wanted to like it but it's not even worth modifying.
Why do I giggle when he says “I’m in to the second knuckle.” ?! lol
Bc you're have the iq of child. I laughed also.
It definitely invokes a different thought lol.

Gonna give this a try for sure. Lots of thought went into the design of this release.
I don't see this working well with gloves. Could be wrong though.

Just came in yesterday. I’m going to lighten up the trigger poundage and let a few fly . ASAP . It looks good so far -
When are they going to have the thrufire release available for purchase?

That's only if you have a solid back wall correct???
Cable stops are better for back tension
Is there any creep? How crisp is the trigger?
