Surprised you could find Eccles Cakes! They are the local thing made not far from me 😃 I have a video up how they make em proper in a bakers. They take like 3 days to make! "Made In Britain - How Eccles cakes are made"
There was an ad on tv when I was younger, talking about the chocolate oranges. The ad said, "don't tap it! Whack it!!!" 🤣 that has stayed in my head, and I may say it when my husband is doing something 😁
Eccles cakes originated from Eccles in Manchester. Originally they were made in the bakery at the end of the day with the left over pastry and pie filling. This isn't the case nowadays obviously. They are deliciously wonderful and nice warm or cold. They are especially good with a cup of British tea xxx keep doing what you do i love your channel ❤🎉😊
In fairness to our Antipodean cousins, Nobby’s Nuts are originally an Australian product. Although they are manufactured by The Smiths Snackfood Company, who are owned by Pepsi. So arguably they are an Australian brand made by an American company but very popular in the U.K. A very cosmopolitan snack!
I remember in the 70s when there was a big advertising campaign, seeing written on a desk (at my Uni) "Nibble Nobby's Nuts", with lots of highly suggestive alliteration below. I won't mention any... 😅
One of my favourite types of episodes are the food tasting ones,& as always this didn't disappoint! ladies a good take on some of our snacks, didn't think I would enjoy the channel as much as I have so far, I live on my own and you have made me laugh out several times which is a really good thing. I do like Mr Kipling he makes exceedingly good cakes and pies. Hope you have tried Tunnocks tea cakes, curly wurly's and jelly babies and some liquorice root sticks or maybe flying saucers.
Jelly Tots, often bought to keep kids quiet, not calling out " are we there yet " on a road trip. Adults eat some too because they are natural fruity and we all grew up with them.
My mum always includes some jelly tots for me in my “Yule box” and I’m in my mid forties lol It’s something she’s done for me since I was a very young child.

Eccles cakes are part of a family of cake/biscuit varieties known as 'dead fly cakes'. These are pastry stuffed with raisins. The two most common are eccles cakes and chorley cakes. chorley cakes are with short pastry rather than flaky pastry. Some people also include garibaldi biscuits in the 'dead fly cake' category even though it is not a cake.

Natasha is obviously in tune with the marketing people for Nobby's Nuts, the TV ads here were full of innuendos 😂 I was going to suggest a pork pie for you to try, but being a meat product they probably wouldn't pass Customs.
Eccles cake's are just the best. In the winter, my mum would warm them up and put some Custard over them, but in summer we would just eat them cold. Another great Northern Treat are Chorley Cakes, again, eaten hot or cold 👍👍

When the chocolate orange was first advertised on tv they used to say "tap it, unwrap it" meaning keep it sealed in the foil then hit it on a hard surface. We used to get one in our Christmas stocking along with a real satsuma. Love your content xx
Im 10days late since your video but you 2 do make me laugh when you try our snacks from the UK 😂 nobbys nuts used to do a salt and vinegar flavour and they were my absolute favourite flavour but theyve gone now😢 enjoyed the video❤❤

Husband and I have angel delight for desert tonight with dream topping on top, that was a treat when I was a child so brings back memories. Not a fan of chocolate orange but love nobbys nuts. Well done again ❤❤xx
I live in Lancashire, England, just down the road from Eccles, the Town where the Eccles cakes are made. Here’s the thing! I have NEVER eaten them warm, or plain like you did. I have only ever had them with butter spread on the top of them, delicious! … with butter on the taste will be completely different. The freddos I still buy, but they are 25p! I remember buying them for just 10p!
I'm also called Richard, however my Mum was actually from Eccles. Eccles cakes are fabulous served warm (oven not microwave) and served with whipped or clotted cream.
Walkers also do Sensations coated nuts which are really good, but like most spicy snacks in the UK they're not very hot, I pour the whole pack in a bowl and toss them around with a little Cayenne Pepper to give them an added bit of burn factor.
Great video. Really fun to see you try things for the first time that I have grown up with. Interesting that you thought the apple pies were mini ones. My favourites from that selection chocolate orange, and Eccles cakes. It was impressive that you tried soany things in one sitting x

I live 5 minutes away from a Fox’s Factory and it always smells amazing. My ex works there so i used to eat A LOT of Fox’s Biscuits!! I’m soooo glad Debbie gave Jelly Tots a 10 because they are sooooooo good!
Angel Delight is so nostalgic to me but it was almost always the banana version in our house served with sliced banana's for dessert. I'm not a massive fan of chocolate but I do like the orange buttons. I also like the nuts, the poppadoms and the apple pies (which are often in kids lunch boxes).
Seeing your reactions to kiplings bramley apple pies made me so happy. I adore bramley apple pies and kiplings ones are divine, so seeing the look of utter delight on your face really brightened up my day :)
That was fun! Banana Angel Delight is the best flavour imo. That flavour of Walkers crisps are yucky! Nobby's Nuts are so moreish! When you eventually come over, grab a pack while in a pub. Even just with a pint of coke they taste incredible.

Glad you liked most of those snacks. Debbie's face when she saw the opened chocolate orange was priceless!
Natasha is obviously in tune with the marketing people for Nobby's Nuts, the TV ads here were full of innuendos 😂
I was going to suggest a pork pie for you to try, but being a meat product they probably wouldn't pass Customs.
You two really make me smile, you are amazing
So funny , great show Ladies, thank you.
Made me laugh, could have been a Christmas unwrapping show by both of your faces and reactions. 🤣 Hope you both get to try a StarBar..
Eccles cake's are just the best. In the winter, my mum would warm them up and put some Custard over them, but in summer we would just eat them cold. Another great Northern Treat are Chorley Cakes, again, eaten hot or cold 👍👍
Chorley cakes plastered in butter are seriously good (but not good for you).
@@judithrichardson3684 💯% 🤣
I'm diabetic...I soooooo enjoyed every mouthful of all of those...virtual tasting! Thank you ladies 🤗 Terry's Chocolate Orange has to be the most fun chocolate to eat!
Strawberry angel delight is the only way to go... mix in real strawberry pieces and a bit of crushed meringue for a real treat.
Debbie's sweet tooth is so funny. Her favourites at the end weren't surprising 😂 Glad you both loved the apple pies, I haven't had them in years, but they were my faaave!!
Oh that was fun girlies love your faces, Debbie was like a child trying chocolate for the first time. Natasha I think your more of the savoury person. Husband and I have angel delight for desert tonight with dream topping on top, that was a treat when I was a child so brings back memories. Not a fan of chocolate orange but love nobbys nuts. Well done again ❤❤xx
Morning i love your channel your both amazing 😊
Big love from Bristol UK ❤
Well hello Bristol 😍
Hello I love the fact you love my city, definitely worth a visit if your both ever in the UK 😊❤
Ah angel delight ❤ ( brings back childhood memories)
Just stumbled across your channel .
Great videos.
Love from England xx
I'm also called Richard, however my Mum was actually from Eccles.
Eccles cakes are fabulous served warm (oven not microwave) and served with whipped or clotted cream.
Terry's and cadburys are actually the same company in UK, cadburys owns them
Put best butter on top of the Eccles cakes amazing x
Walkers also do Sensations coated nuts which are really good, but like most spicy snacks in the UK they're not very hot, I pour the whole pack in a bowl and toss them around with a little Cayenne Pepper to give them an added bit of burn factor.
Great video. Really fun to see you try things for the first time that I have grown up with. Interesting that you thought the apple pies were mini ones. My favourites from that selection chocolate orange, and Eccles cakes. It was impressive that you tried soany things in one sitting x
Great Video, much needed fun, laughter and lightness. I live near stonehenge here in UK. love your videos, love your positivity and happiness. lots of love from UK xxx
Your dentist is watching this like 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
I live 5 minutes away from a Fox’s Factory and it always smells amazing. My ex works there so i used to eat A LOT of Fox’s Biscuits!! I’m soooo glad Debbie gave Jelly Tots a 10 because they are sooooooo good!
I used to live not from Cadburys factory in Moreton, Wirral. Used to smell the chocolate
@@Carol.Allison Did it make you want chocolate more or did it put you off?
@@crimsonknightuk put me off chocolate because of the sickly smell of chocolate. I only eat chocolate if I'm in the mood for a chocolate bar
Love to see you ladies back and on form ❤️
If eating Angel Delight ever becomes an Olympic sport, I think Natasha will be a gold medal winner.
Seeing your reactions to kiplings bramley apple pies made me so happy.
I adore bramley apple pies and kiplings ones are divine, so seeing the look of utter delight on your face really brightened up my day :)
We can't get that variety in Australia 😢
That was fun! Banana Angel Delight is the best flavour imo. That flavour of Walkers crisps are yucky! Nobby's Nuts are so moreish! When you eventually come over, grab a pack while in a pub. Even just with a pint of coke they taste incredible.
