Thank you! I hope it works out great for you. I used this set up for 2 years without issue. However, this season I upgraded my fish finder, and the transducer was so long that this method didn’t work. So I ended up purchasing a Navarre scupper mount transducer.
I had to say thanks for the video. I have a Jackson Bite Angler and just mounted a striker 4 with a Scotty mount. I will be getting rid of the Scotty transducer mount and switching to the scupper hole thanks to you. Keep up the good work!
@@ScottKurbyun you’re welcome! I have been using mine for over a year with zero issues. The only thing I would change is buying a shorter bolt vs cutting the long one down.
@@SongFong I’m glad you found it helpful, thank you for the kind comment! I used it for over a year without any issues. The only thing I would have done differently is just buy a shorter bolt than having to cut the long one lol.
You’re welcome! I used this set up for the entire 2023 season and it worked great. This year I bought a new fish finder and the transducer is much bigger / longer. Hoping I can still use this cheap method 🤞
Are you wondering about water coming into the kayak? I mounted it through an existing scupper hole, I believe my kayak has 6 scupper holes, a bit of water can splash in through all of the scupper holes, and then drain back out. The transducer mount blocks most of the water from splashing in, but a little bit still gets in, but there’s still 5 other open scuppers where more water comes in and out. I hope that answers your question!
Solid video! I was looking to run scupper hole transducer, and this is exactly what i am gonna run on my jackson bite!
