You missed Bieksa scoring in overtime to eliminate the Sharks in the 2010-11 playoffs. Those 1994 playoff goals against Calgary are still painful to watch as a lifelong Flames fan. A big shout out to Jim Robson who has to be one of the best yet most underrated NHL broadcaster ever. A classy guy who had an awesome career!
WOW! I might be a bit late to the dance! But Thank you for posting!! Despite I now live in Arizona, & the Coyotes is a topic for a different day, it was incredible to watch & be a part of! Obviously time goes on, trust me I was balling my teenage eyes out watching CBC in '94. Somewhere I've got that VHS tape, BURE BURE! An honour to see this & Go Canucks Go!!
I'll tell you something! i'm sick and tired of being in second place - all of our greatest moments is just coming short. It's pissing me off - i think i just woke up from the 2011 defeat and depression! Let's get this done, let's rebuild, let's do this in the correct and right way! I want a freaking championship!! GO CANUCKS!
No rush. How old are you? You probably have many more seasons to live. If Benning doesn't get trade happy we have a good chance in the 3-8 years from now. I've been hoping since 1980. I'll take the 2nd place/Presidents trophy/MVPs until then
@@cleborp8356 Well when you get thousands and thousands of the angriest people on earth in one place, they will do something they will regret. Especially if they were drinking.
Yeah, I could say by now, Vancouver's history was so dismal, they would be justified to pull a Houston Astros-like scandal to cheat their way to a Cup - if that were possible in hockey. But enough of that. Jesus is coming back, so it foes not matter who wins now.
If Canucks.com were to truly covering some of the best moments in The Canucks 40 year history, they should include some of their better moments from 1975-1982 such as (A) Their first ever win in their first ever playoff run in 1975, against The Montreal Canadiens, in Game 2, with Gary Smith in net, (B) Their unexpected win in the first game against The Philadelphia Flyers, during their third playoff run in 1979, and (C) Jim Nill's overtime winner against The Chicago Blackhawks in their first ever Stanley Cup final run in 1982. It's slim pickings after that till the second Stanley Cup run in 1994 and the 2000's ,but, these are moments Canucks' ownership should include in their history. The Canucks also managed to have a couple of winning seasons from 1974-76. Something they wouldn't manage again until the 1991-92 season.
I know, I think that the 1994 team(in it's prime) could beat the 2011 team. And it's weird, '94's riot was smaller, and they "lost" by one shot off the post, and Leetch hitting Babach into McLean before the winning goal, yet in 2011 there was a huge riot for a game where it wasn't even close
Respectfully, the 1994 team had no business getting to game 7 versus New York, if they even could reach the finals. But 2011? They had no business losing. Goaltending, it was no contest. Lu, when he was on his game could back stop his way to victory. Scoring-wise, the 1994 team had more firepower, but the 2011 team could hold their own.
Stop talking about how the Burrows goal should be #1. That situation should never have happened in the first place. In 2011, the Canucks were the President’s Trophy winners up 3-0 against a Blackhawks team that were a shadow of their former selves. Not only that, in Game 7, they blew a 1-0 lead because Burrows missed a penalty shot and Luongo let in a weak short-handed goal with less than 2 minutes left. I don’t get why people think so highly of that goal. In 94, the Canucks were 7th place and understandably down 3-1 but came back and won 3-in-a-row *all* in overtime. Plus, they came from behind in that game. How could Burrows goal be better? Sheessh... celebrating a goal that should never have been needed.
The countdown is missing burrows goal against Chicago, Kesler's goal against Nashville, bieksa's goal against the sharks to send Vancouver into the 2011 Stanley cup final and Burrows Goal 11 seconds into overtime against the bruins in the 2011 Stanley cup finals.
So you mean to tell me that Alex burrows' overtime goal against Chicago in game 7 isn't even on there? After 3 seasons and 19 playoff games against Chicago, the Canucks finally beat them and moved on.
I've had to answer this way too many times... 1. The list was made by Canucks.com 2. The list was made at the start of the 2010-11 season. The Burrows goal hadn't even happened at the time of the list being released
I'd have it: 1. Burrows (no question) 2. Bieksa 3. Bure... 2011's so fresh in my memory. I barely remember 94 was pretty young. So I guess I'm bias. 4. Cooke. I'm surprised this wasn't on there. As disappointing as that games ending was, it was still a pretty miraculous moment. All Naslund. after that it doesn't really matter.
oh man #9 ended at like some God-awful hour coffee only minimally helped i think i thought about i think i thought about the old clothes pegs in the eyes trick LOL
I have thought about updating the video, mainly so I could modernize my editing. (I originally made this when I was 12). But I want some more good moments to happen before I make a new version.
Fair enough. Hopefully the likes of Horvat, Boeser, Pettersson, Dahlen, Juolevi, Gaudette, Lind and Demko can provide some of those sooner rather than later. If you do update, Daniel scoring the OT winner in the Sedins final home game really should be on this list imho. - Cheers
What about the 80s and 70,s what a joke . when the Canucks finally beat the Montreal Canadians at home in 1979 .playing the montreal Canadians in the 1st round of the playoffs 1976 . canaucks winning the smith division in 1976 canucks getting to the Stanley cup final 1982 ????
this list is not bad.. but how do u leave out burrows vs hawks ot game 7. easily top 3 canuck moments. Yet u have hank winning an absolutely useless individual award (gotta be the worst player to ever win an art ross) as 3? gotta change that lol
I understand what you're saying, but like it says in the video, I didn't make the list, Canucks.com made it, I just made the video, and it was made at the start of the 2010-11 season, so the Burrows goal hadn't even happened yet
Burrows goal does not deserve top 3 spot. First of all, they should not have had been at that point in the first place. They almost lost a 3-0 lead and then in game 7, they gave up a bad goal while on a power play with a few minutes left. Burrows also missed a penalty shot earlier. So much incompetence had to happen for them to be in that place.
+jessc1979 Personally, I would've probably included the Burrows goal, if the list wasn't made at the start of the 2010-11 season, but for reasons, one being the one you listed, it wouldn't be in the top 3. It probably would've taken the spot of Henrik's Hart trophy. But then again, I didn't make the list itself, I just made the video.
got to ask you something why is every hockey fan in albert flames or oil fans a bunch of cunts? and go look at other teams web pages they say the same about you so it must be true
Tim Stout Me too. The Oilers used to be my second favourite team. I lived there for ten years, watched Gretzky hoist the cup in-person. Thanks to their asshole fans, I can't stand the team now.
joke of franchise lots of memories of first round series and meaningless games typical. I thing the RIOTS Should of been number 1 when the city tried to burn itself to the ground TWICE. GO FLAMES GO
This was made(the list) was made at the BEGINNING of the 2010-11 season

You missed Burrows slaying the dragon. That's my #1
“It’s a wonderful day for an exorcism” I liked it when he said that, and I hate Chelsea dagger lol
He said that he made it before that season started so burrows, bieksa none of that’s there
That one is way up there, no doubt.

yeah! lets go back to 2011 and lose then burn our city down!
@TheBrainWong never where 29 buddy off drugs

4:45 The way Felix Potvin slumps. Poor Felix Potvin.
I clearly remember watching every second of this, in real time. I feel old.

this was more like the best moments from 1991-2010
Honorable mention: Greg Adams' goal scored in overtime of game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals against the NY Rangers in 1994.
It's great to see so many hilites featuring the Electric Skate.
There's a message there...😉
Never seen anyone like bure. Electric!
Bure bure!
How does Alex Burrows Game 7 OT winner against Chicago not make this list.
Burrows vs Hawks, I agree
It is Called Ten Years Later, I have the playlist. It is in the discription.
Bure was incredible, but Burrows slaying the dragon was the sweetest moment.
Bure's goal was round 1 too, and we can't forget about Bieksa's goal to send the canucks to the finals.

Messier hitting someone while they're down and critics say he has the most heart??? Smh

this is pathetic, for the last time, I din't make the list, it was made BY CANUCKS.COM, not by me, I just took the list and made a video out of it
If I only watched this I wouldn't realize the Canucks' first trip to the Finals was 1982. White Towels and all.....
Still get goosebumps when I watch Pavel score that goal. He would probably get 100 goals in today's wussified NHL.
That McLean save!
The Canuck 94 playoff team had big hearts
I know you didn't make this, but Burrows' OT goal against Chicago AND Boston should be in the top 5.
Well done, well done.
How is Henrik winning and you don’t put Daniel on the list. Your lacking something
missing gino va half st louis...;)
ya man that was awesome the year before that chigago won the series and the series before for that was amazing for the canucks
You missed burrows goal vs Chicago and Bieksas goal that sent us to the finals
So you mean to tell me that Alex burrows' overtime goal against Chicago in game 7 isn't even on there? After 3 seasons and 19 playoff games against Chicago, the Canucks finally beat them and moved on.

this is of the opinion of Canucks.com, I didn't make the list
good list but to me the number one moment in canucks history was burrows game 7 winner against chicago.
oh man #9 ended at like some God-awful hour coffee only minimally helped i think i thought about i think i thought about the old clothes pegs in the eyes trick LOL
I agree
Alex burrows's it goal against Chicago should be like number 5
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO VAN!!!

Now Thats Good Fans!!!
Bieksas double ot goal vs. the sharks in game five of the western conference final shouldve been #1
number 4
oh I see what you did there.
@wertytrewqa I know where your coming from, but I think game 6 is more important.
it would be #11
Slaying the droagon though?
But posted February 26 2012 long after all those moments happened
This needs an update after the Arizona game.
I have thought about updating the video, mainly so I could modernize my editing. (I originally made this when I was 12). But I want some more good moments to happen before I make a new version.

Hard to believe we used to watch hockey at this quality. Can barely see fuck all.
YOU KNOW HE WILL PLAY AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN.

The Sedins needed to be a lot higher.
he said henrick sedin si din not se dean
but that was in 2010
What about the first Canucks goal in 1970
And the 1982 Canucks this is a joke
1 should have been slaying the dragon #GoodLuckBurrows! #BruinsSucks!
Bure goal >>>> Burrows goal
if that isn't the classiest acceptance speech for an award, i dunno what is, and he still managed to insult his twin... wow.
diduck
hahaha the face of pat burns lmaoo !! screw ya toronto :P
Bure bure
this list is not bad.. but how do u leave out burrows vs hawks ot game 7. easily top 3 canuck moments. Yet u have hank winning an absolutely useless individual award (gotta be the worst player to ever win an art ross) as 3? gotta change that lol

oh that makes total sense then lol thnx for uploading
It is obvious that who did this did not know anything about canucks in the 70s and 80s THIS IS A JOKE
Burrows goal does not deserve top 3 spot. First of all, they should not have had been at that point in the first place. They almost lost a 3-0 lead and then in game 7, they gave up a bad goal while on a power play with a few minutes left. Burrows also missed a penalty shot earlier.

Vancouver Canucks... brought to you by B.C. Fairies.
And of course, they didnt make the playoffs. Good jooob...
Kiss the ring YOU FRAUDS!!
I'm still laughing because the Canucks still can't say their favourite moment was winning the cup... hahaha
got to ask you something why is every hockey fan in albert flames or oil fans a bunch of cunts? and go look at other teams web pages they say the same about you so it must be true
Well good for you so am I but oiler fans are Prix for some reason it just blows me away hahaha.
Thanks Smiae I am just sick of people always dissing the canucks and the fans for no reason.
Tim Stout Me too. The Oilers used to be my second favourite team. I lived there for ten years, watched Gretzky hoist the cup in-person. Thanks to their asshole fans, I can't stand the team now.
