The thing about Jimi that impresses me is that he never played a song the same twice live. I think he loved to improvise all the time to see what he could do, how he could stretch his musicality.
Hi Dan…how many great versions of Purple Haze comes to mind..but the definitive version in my opinion has to be the one played at Berkeley (first set) Adios Amigo !

The Family don't own the copyright to this or else you'd be getting a strike Harry. Hendrix is a tough guy to get past the copyright coppers and the family. I've tried for years now and have gotten multiple strikes over trying. For Hendrix you have to find videos of him that aren't owed by the family. I got a few Hendrix videos past them but not many....

I remember cutting If Six were a Nine out of the movie Easy Rider and putting it up on youtube and they couldn't take it down because the family didn't own the copyright to the movie.
