I do not own anything. All rights to their respective owners. One Step Up with Eddie Vedder, with his band Bad Radio (before Pearl Jam). Bruce Springsteen cover.
Canzone che mi accompagna da 35 anni giorno del mio matrimonio finito male per la malattia di mio marito....ma continuo ad ascoltare questa canzone ...è piena d'amore❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Eddie Vedder has the most beautiful voice. And this cover proves it. Fits the song so well. One of my favorites. I can listen to this song over and over again.
3:50: "If you ever feel like saying... I'm getting the f**k outta here, just remember -living is the best revenge" EV... Oh God, I hope he always remembers it
Oh so beautiful. I have always loved this song but this version IS even better. His singing is so poignant, even delicate, with his fluttering vibrato, and depth…it’s breathtaking.
I love the way Eddie does covers. He always treats the song with such respect and really keeps original vibe to it. He never overstates his presence. That’s a true professional. He does an incredible version of the waiting w\ Tom petty
I have nothing against EV, but I find the respect a bit boring in this case. A nice version, but Springsteen already did more or less this arrangement (my favourite Bruce song btw). Sometimes "disrespect" - at least in the sense that you fuck up the original arrangement - is better. For example, I'm a huge Bob Dylan fan, but I like XTC's over the top take on "All along the watchtower".
we love him not only for his beautiful voice and gorgeous eyes we love him for his beautiful soul and beautiful outlooks on life and the resilience he has shown the things that has happened to him in his life to be such a loving and generous and humble and adorable person that he is he truly does grab at the heart because we know he's a special person that doesn't happen upon this world all that often we love you and to be loved is a great gift a gift that he deserves I hope that everything wonderful happens for him because I believe he is truly deserving just for being such a nice person it is truly awesome to know Rockstar is counted as him and remain so real
This cover takes me back to my early 20's in the early 90's in a dive bar in the East Village that had Eddie's version of this Springsteen hit on the jukebox. The only place I ever saw it on a jukebox.❤
Woke up this morning my house was cold Checked out the furnace she wasn't burnin' Went out and hoped in my old Ford Hit the engine but she ain't turnin' We've given each other some hard lessons lately But we ain't learnin' We're the same sad story that's a fact One step up and two steps back Bird on a wire outside my motel room But he ain't singin' Girl in white outside a church in June But the church bells they ain't ringing I'm sittin' here in this bar tonight But all I'm thinkin' is I'm the same old story same old act One step up and two steps back It's the same thing night on night Who's wrong baby who's right Another fight and I slam the door on Another battle in our dirty little war When I look at myself I don't see The man I wanted to be Somewhere along the line I slipped off track I'm caught movin' one step up and two steps back There's a girl across the bar I get the message she's sendin' Mmm she ain't lookin' to married And me well honey I'm pretending Last night I dreamed I held you in my arms The music was never-ending We danced as the evening sky faded to black One step up and two steps back Songwriters: Bruce Springsteen
Wow. Just wow. Eddie singing a very well written song. Gives me goosebumps. Awesome. I like him singing bruce stuff. Thank you. Thank you for posting this beautiful written song by this man with a great voice. Awesome. Awesome all around.
A beautiful cover that I enjoy more than the original. This was recorded by Eddie in a friend's Chicago studio. It's a solo project that Eddie did for fun before, and without, Bad Radio.
So beautifully done Eddie!! Fantastic job on the clips, Eddie is one of my favorite human beings on this earth, thank you for sharing this awesome video 😊💓🤘✌️
Let me guess he drove around singing along with this many times. Sounds incredible! Ok had to edit…..wow, I must’ve listened to this 20 times in the last couple days. Playlist. Tank you much friend o mine (whoever uploaded this)
C'était une version que je viens d"écouter et qui est vraiment sple, dide , j'adore cette chanson pourr sa musique et ses paroles envoutantes... Un très jolie morceau.... biz à vous et à Bruce and his band
He is so talented and has such a beautiful heart! This is the story of my life: one step up/forward and two steps back. Its the normal healing process for certain victims. Although not a lot of healing happening with all the backward movement. Great song for it though!.
Couldn't disagree more with their poltics, Bruce S. (original version) and Eddie V. than I do...and equally couldn't appreciate them more for what they give me musically...
I was just here think it the same thing. These musicians are lost in their own fame, perhaps even a lost sense of reality. These are 2 of the greatest musicians, yet they are part of the problem that is destroying this countries fundamentals. Freedom isn’t free.
You’re an idiot! Just because they differ from you politically you think they’ve lost touch with reality? Eddie has always been the way he is. Not because he became famous. And you’re probably a trumper so you’re a moron!
beautiful song, beautiful Eddie Vedder. Thank you Eddie for all the great songs in all those years!
Ulrike Mayer Bruce Springsteen song.
Ulrike Mayer Yeah, definitely not a Pearl or Vedder song.
Ulrike Mayer Springsteen wrote this

He’s clearly a MASSIVE MASSIVE Bruce fan. I’ve lost count how many Bruce covers he’s done. And why wouldn’t he, Bruce is a genius.
I think Springsteen's original version is one of my favourite songs of all time, but this cover is absolutely wonderful
Totally agree.
Eddie Vedder has the most beautiful voice. And this cover proves it. Fits the song so well. One of my favorites. I can listen to this song over and over again.
I mean if you can't love somebody like Eddie Vedder you have no heart because he is such a beautiful spirit
he really shares his heart
3:50: "If you ever feel like saying... I'm getting the f**k outta here, just remember -living is the best revenge" EV...
Oh God, I hope he always remembers it
Oh so beautiful. I have always loved this song but this version IS even better. His singing is so poignant, even delicate, with his fluttering vibrato, and depth…it’s breathtaking.
I agree this version is better (not to knock the original)
I love the way Eddie does covers. He always treats the song with such respect and really keeps original vibe to it. He never overstates his presence. That’s a true professional. He does an incredible version of the waiting w\ Tom petty

Gotta mention the Who tunes from Vh1 tribute. So freaking great! A different mood than this one surely but all awesome!
Nice cover of Bruce. He channels Bruce's vocal timbre flawlessly and the band does a nice job on the Bruce arrangement
My favorite covering my pops favorite, full circle. Thanks Boss thanks eddie. Doesn't get more boss, or any vedder than this.
we love him not only for his beautiful voice and gorgeous eyes we love him for his beautiful soul and beautiful outlooks on life and the resilience he has shown the things that has happened to him in his life to be such a loving and generous and humble and adorable person that he is he truly does grab at the heart because we know he's a special person that doesn't happen upon this world all that often we love you and to be loved is a great gift a gift that he deserves I hope that everything wonderful happens for him because I believe he is truly deserving just for being such a nice person it is truly awesome to know Rockstar is counted as him and remain so real
Amen....thanks.
Never knew he covered this...Eddie has some great taste.
Wow! You can totally hear the influence the boss had on his vocals and writing.
This cover takes me back to my early 20's in the early 90's in a dive bar in the East Village that had Eddie's version of this Springsteen hit on the jukebox. The only place I ever saw it on a jukebox.❤
Love this cover. It’s so cool that Vedder and Springsteen are good friends now.
Eddie’s covers of Growin’ Up and My City Of Ruins are amazing.
This may be the best voice in music. Every song he covers he does with greatness and the music doesn't change.
The world is a better place with you in it mister Vedder, thank you for your courage and focus.
Thanks.
The first few words sound just like the boss....crazy good cover
I thought it was Bruce for a second as well!
Woke up this morning my house was cold
Checked out the furnace she wasn't burnin'
Went out and hoped in my old Ford
Hit the engine but she ain't turnin'
We've given each other some hard lessons lately
But we ain't learnin'
We're the same sad story that's a fact
One step up and two steps back
Bird on a wire outside my motel room
But he ain't singin'
Girl in white outside a church in June
But the church bells they ain't ringing
I'm sittin' here in this bar tonight
But all I'm thinkin' is
I'm the same old story same old act
One step up and two steps back
It's the same thing night on night
Who's wrong baby who's right
Another fight and I slam the door on
Another battle in our dirty little war
When I look at myself I don't see
The man I wanted to be
Somewhere along the line I slipped off track
I'm caught movin' one step up and two steps back
There's a girl across the bar
I get the message she's sendin'
Mmm she ain't lookin' to married
And me well honey I'm pretending
Last night I dreamed I held you in my arms
The music was never-ending
We danced as the evening sky faded to black
One step up and two steps back
Songwriters: Bruce Springsteen
Awesome song
One of my favourite springsteen songs
Thank you for this amazing cover ❤️
Man, Eddie's always had awesome vocals, but he CRUSHES it on this one...🎶🎶🎶
I love this son of a gun so much. I can never listen to PJ or Vedder without getting teary eyed.

Said no one ever!
It can't be done! 😍

Wow. Just wow. Eddie singing a very well written song. Gives me goosebumps. Awesome. I like him singing bruce stuff. Thank you. Thank you for posting this beautiful written song by this man with a great voice. Awesome. Awesome all around.
Wonderful photos of beautiful Eddie.
OMG!!! Eddie - wow!! wow!! You nailed this one. Even the boss would love it. In fact you guys should tour with him like you did with Neil!
he's so gorgeous- then and now.
A beautiful cover that I enjoy more than the original. This was recorded by Eddie in a friend's Chicago studio. It's a solo project that Eddie did for fun before, and without, Bad Radio.
This was before Bad Radio?! Really?! Sounded more "mature"
Very cool if it's true. Was released in 87 so I guess maybe
Story of my life, made even better by Eddie's haunting vocal skills. LOVE this!
All the soul of the original ... one of the best songs of our generation , yet timeless
Thanks really enjoyed that
No words!... What a song.. Eddie master!
Bruce & That song...was an over & over for me. Nice pics😉.

LOVE this Springsteen cover! Thanks for sharing!
So beautifully done Eddie!! Fantastic job on the clips, Eddie is one of my favorite human beings on this earth, thank you for sharing this awesome video 😊💓🤘✌️
He and Springsteen are Americans and their music is American yet they are so far off base in reality as people outside their music.
Thanks Eddie for the music and the good lyrics!!
Such a beautiful song. Such a beautiful soul. Your videos are awesome.
Superb cover version.
This is so beautiful, rad, based. Thank you, Adele from Denver show

Just WOW. Never knew he was already formed to be a major star. period.
I have played both versions. Always this one was the best. Sorry bruce. All respect. Great artist. But for singing. All Eddie
Show up early for a Pearl Jam show. Eddy does a few acoustics with the roadies.
