I have an older version I believe, and I can't seem to get the bushing off of the inner sleeve. I think it's harboring a bunch of crud that's causing excessive wear and I could use advice trying to pop it off! What do you think?

My Modell did not come off so easy. so I had to pull both tubes apart with a little force and Speed. But it wasn't a problem. Thank you.

I have the 2017 Modell and it won’t slide off I don’t know what to do and I couldn’t find a solution ://
Could be very dirty otherwise if it's the same dropper and you followed all the steps it shoulf come off

I have a giant anthem with air seatpost, my question is, should the cylinder be air calibrated or just cleaned?
Just a good clean and lube up and your done, the air cilinders are throw away parts with no way to add air. In fact i think that you pump it up by dropping it with your weight but not sure about that.

google that,mine trance from 2017 has that cartridge.there are 3 sizes.
What would cause the dropper post to be loose/spin inside the stanchion? Could it have come off of the key grooves?
Keys int this dropper are made of plastic so big chanse they are completely rounded over.
Can they be replaced or am I looking at a new post?
I think your local bike shop should get a hand on some new plastic keyways. Easy to replace as you can see in the video
I've got a 2017 Anthem & the dropper is now slow to rise, took in to the BS & was told because the stanchions black color has faded that is the reason why it's now faulty. They suggest I replace with a new one, your thoughts?
On the visible part of the dropper? If not i would give it a service.
@@NoizieWorks yeah on the backside of the stanchion the black's faded out- yes I'm gonna follow your directions & replace the cartridge etc.. as it hasn't been done. Thanks
First clean it out and use thin silicone greas and look if it's fixed before you spend money on a cartidge

Does the collar 0:40 contain a metal ring? If I screw my collar on it locks down on the post.
Underneath the collar is a plastic ring to keep the seatpost from spinning around
@@NoizieWorks There a silver metal ring with a slot in it. When I screw the collar on the metal ring seemed to cause a problem -- but now I have it assembled and it seems to be working. I don't know why it seemed to cause a problem earlier.
What products do you use in the video?
Generic silicone paste and spray that you can find in the local hardware store
I can't unscrew the actuator on mine... it drives me nuts! It seems like its seized... Any ideas?
You could soake it in a bath of wd40 or some other variant to get it out or heat it up let it cool down and do it a few times.

Could be muck and grime if you removed the collar en nut at the bottem
