I've got to try this, brand new Santa Cruz 5010 and the Race Face dropper post stopped returning to full height pretty quickly. The bike shop's solution was to slather the post with white grease (I think I need to find a better bike mechanic!). Thanks for the nice video.
Havent tested to see if this is my issue yet but... YESS the reach behind to pull up the seat is getting so annoying lol. Worse when I am exhausted and just want to sit and start my uphill but I go to sit down and my knees are in my chest while pedaling lol
I also have a dropper post that doesn't come up propperly. But the pumping didn't solved it. Now it stays for three seconds like 80% out and if i keep pressing the remote it jumps up. Can someone help me with this problem?

What is your suggestion if the post does not go up all the way even after adding air?
My post only pops up when I release all the pressure. Soon as I add pressure, it sucks itself back in the tube. Completely opposite

hi um i have a ks lev (not internal routing) dropper post and when i remove the seat, there is no rubber cap. its just metal
do this work on reverb to i got sag and now it wil not go up
