    So cool how G. Ryan still listens to Danahar. Here you have the greatest Jiu Jitsu competitor of all time, that listens to his teacher as if he was still a white belt. That is humility on the next level.

    • @stefandili2650
      @stefandili2650 Год назад +7

      This is not humility, this is understanding you owe EVERYTHING bjj related to this man. Gordon is a lot of things but humble is absolutely not on this list.

      Doesn’t matter how experienced a athlete is, they always listen to their coach because they are always learning & wanting to get better. I agree it’s very interesting to see their dynamic knowing how good Gordon is at BJJ..

      Im not saying he doesnt know what hes doing but teaching someone something when you never did it doesnt seem right. Just my opinion. Also look up the scramble video with eddie cummings he says JD taught him everything about leg locks but now hes saying HEs not getting any credit for the leg lock system. JD also says that he taught GSP, Garry Tonon, Chris Weidmen but GSP didn't really train with JD before and after winning his 1st title. I was there I never saw or heard GSP come to NYC to train with him ( I trained 5-6 x a day back then at RGA) . I know he trained with him when he was a white belt but most of his training is with Faras. Garry Tonon was an elite level bjj compeititor before he met JD. Chris Weidmen was a Div 1 wrestler before he met JD. I've seen JD "spar" with div 1 wrestlers but they were not going 100%, 50% at most and people watching thought they were going at it and gave lots of credit to JD when the wrestlers were letting him take them down.

      Ni Dan Ko Soto Gari, small outer reap in two steps. You drive your opponent's weight backward and you block the near foot. This forces the opponent to move the other leg and as he does, you reap both legs from under him.
      It's a very nice and very pratical technique. Combines well with a forward throw like Sasae or Tai Otoshi.
