Congratulations on 1 Million!!!
A MILLION SUBS!!! Congratulations!!! You deserve this.... Keep up the good work!!
These don’t seem that overpriced, especially if they’re reliable. Pro video lights often exceed $500 and $1000 per light. I’m not a huge fan of app-reliant things though. They should definitely have more physical controls for the price.
Soon cars will be software base with less physical controls
No physical controls is a total dealbreaker for a lot of people.
Hi random Frank P, thanks so much for your channel and thanks so much for reviewing these and bringing them to my attention! I think I will definitely be looking to pick up at least one if not two of these light panels. Have a great day!
Congrats on One Million!!!!!!! You’ve worked so hard for this man
That Setup behind you is CLEAN AF! Great quality video!
I have the Philips Light Bar. I feel like they are really worth buying
Congrats in 1 Million! 😎
1.8*
@@GrahamAllaway BAHAHAHA
Got mine today (half off amazon Black Friday deal) and was surprised at the weight of the light. Was super heavy for the size but really thin. Seems like great quality. The only thing I don’t like is the plug is huge. Should’ve put the transformer inline not as the plug. Yes it’s expensive and yes you can get a normal light and put wax paper on them but you can’t control anything that way.
Nice review. What ticks me off about Elgato and their Key Liht is that it's ridiculously expensive in Canada. With the exchange rate, it should cost about 260$ , but for some reason, we keep having it at 300$ . It was at 275$ around the holidays, but sold out. I love the brand -- got two stream decks, the collapsible green screen, HD 60S, and CamLink 4K, but I refuse to pay 300$ x 2 for some lighting when I can get some (although less efficient) Neewer LED lights for a fraction of the price.
If you want RGB lights with wireless control simply buy a NeoPixel panel and hook up an Arduino to it. Then you have individual led colour control (probably not too useful in this case), you can use WiFi or Bluetooth to control it and you have the added bonus of being able to add as many physical buttons as you please negating the incompatability with the stream deck. If you really wanted you could intergrate the Google Assistant Api and give it voice control.
Would you recommend the Elgato Key Light or the Falcon Eyes S0-28TD for product photography? Thanks.
Love ur setup
Great video. Congrats on 1m subs dude! Keep it uppp
Fast forward to 2022, and these lights are all over Marketplace. I got two for less than $75 each. Gotta love the thousands of people who thought they were gonna be the 'next big streamer'. Their naivete = our gain!
(great lights BTW, I love them)
Congrats On 1,000,000 Subs!!
What are you using for your monitor mounts on your desk. Looks like a great set up
I just found out about these lights and i want them so bad but my first thought was RGB, you now that's gonna be the upgrade later. Don't know how long its gonna take but i might have to wait.
1M subscribers, congratulations man!
It really comes down to the CRI of the light. If it is 95+ with accurate reproduction the light is a good value, despite not having battery capability. Haven't seen any info on that yet.
Phillips Hue color home Kit is my alternative for this and slightly cheaper. But of course you need light fixtures for the three bulbs.
Can you use the screw treads with other mounts, such as tripods?
I saw that cam link and i was kinda curious about what it was so i searched it up on amazon to find more info and you were the example image 😂
Congrats on 1mil sub 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What camera and lens are you using here??? It looks amazing...
Congrats on 1 mil!
What is your opinion on using the popular Nanoleaf as an alternative?
Great video man love the content keep it up....
There you go 1 Mil man. Congrats.
I would love to use this for product photography. Is there a way to mount this light on smaller, shorter stands?
Congrats on a Mil!!
Does this light need to be connected to the wifi network/app constantly for it to be powered or can the settings be edited whilst connected and then saved + used once the application is closed? If not - how would this affect bandwidth/CPU usage?
When you're not using the light, can the mount be used for other purposes? Does it have standard hardware at the end?
CONGRATS ON 1 Mil!!!
that's really not a bad panel at all. I use the Aputures and they are great but I do wish there was a lower profile version. If you guys think this is expensive, wait til you see the westcott flexlights. 2500 lumens is no joke either.
I knew you will reach 1M subs congratulations randomfrankp
thx for the review buddy!
Happy 1 mil!
Yeah, it's a little expensive, though I do like that it can be integrated with the stream deck.
You could also just wire generic Amazon lights with diffusers into a footswitch. Then you don't have to have functional Wi-Fi to run your lights. LMAO
Wooooo 1mil well done mate!!
Hey Frank! What focal length were the shots of yourself in?
Congrats 1 millions subscribers keep it up
Hi , what is the main camera and the lens that you used to made that video ?
Can you put these Elgato lights on a standard tripod instead of screwing this to your desk for more versatility ? so it is not only good when you do live stream in front of your pc.
*Congrats with the 1 mil count* :)
Congrats on 1 mill!
Any chance they will sell the stands on their own?
Hope everyone is having a good 2019!
Another great vid. Keep it up.
This could be a good investment for me. A few questions; Does this have to be used with the app? Is it possible to run the app from my Amazon Kindle? Can these be wall mounted?
I know this question may not be about the elgato keylight, but I’ve had this question for a while, and was wondering if someone could help. I was thinking of getting an elgato hd60s to record pc games because when I’ve tried to record using obs, I find that I have a pretty large frame drop. So would the hd60s help maintain the frame rate I normally get without recording?
thanks rfp definitely picking these up
Are they good ?
Hey Frank I forgot the name but I know there’s a similar product that is like a circle ⭕️ just like that is this better?
Congrats on hitting 1 million 🎉🎉🎊
2:08 Man he flipped the heck out of us
Can i not connect it to wifi, phones and pcs and just use it as a light for other production purposes?
I checked out your "Setup Gear" section, but it doesn't list the monitor stand(s) you use for your set-up. I'm looking to upgrade to a triple monitor set up similar to yours (two side by side and one above). A link or model name would be appreciated!
My table does not have an edge where I can clip on these stands. Are the other desktop stands that I can use with these lights?
what happens if the bulb or whatever is in there, breaks? Can i replace them? Would I have to spend another 200?
Do I need 2 of these lights for a elgato green screen or is one of these ok
grats on the 1m subs!
Alright my guy, I've been catching your pokeball plus for at least 3 videos. When are you gonna let out your friend code? Pokemongo or just switch?
So you tested two of these instead of what comes in the box? Or do you get two of them per box?
I can not find the app on my iphone can you help tell me what it is? I ordered these just trying to get prepared
200$? I was literally thinking that 100 was too much, i was hoping for a cheap one.
Could you do a video on another alternative thats cheaper, and some comparisons so we can see why its worth 200$! Thanks for the videos, keep up the good work :)
Quality high cri (95+) leds with rgb, warm and cold white(2700-6500 kelvin) alone would cost 300$ for a light with similar size to those elgato ones... add housing, cooling, dmx controller, powersupply, one could DIY this for around 700+$ per light.
5:11 Hi, Frank! Where I can purchase this mic stand?
Is this 200 for only one panel or two? Might be worth if you get 2 of them.
I would really like a cheaper alternative at "tech under 50".
I don't need fancy software control, just a soft light that's gonna brighten up my face a bit. :)
Facepalm go on Newegg or amazon and look up “soft boxes”.
@@arrowhead5217 yea, the problem is that to me they look all the same but they have different prices..thats why I would like to get the name of the product which will give me the best "bang for the buck" :)
@joshua broughton-herrick yea I know but I don't know which specifically to buy :)
Facepalm same problem here
Buy a fill light they are much more soft
Yo! +1 for the Aesop Rock albums. Love that dude
is this better than an 18 inch Ring light with a diffuser for streaming? the ring light costs around 60 dollars
What's the link for the lights?
does it come with 2 lights or both bought separate?
Yay so happy you hit 1 million subscribers
What's the CRI? Aputure tends to have the best skin tones...
Congrads on 1 mil.
its good for PRO selfies :D
Are you saying the Elgato light is brighter than the Aputure hr672?
Hey frank hope your day is going good
Please do a review on the Alienware headset. Love your vids!
Where did he buy this there's no link for it in the description?
“Elgato” is Spanish for over-priced.
@Futurez Watch out there! It's a joke flying over your head 😮
Its not
got my vote for president
Tbh el gato is the cat in Spanish lol
@@vicenteecheverry766 but they are though :D 200€ for that light is insane
Dude congrats for 1M
Good job keep it up
Would I need one of these if I will just have a keyboard and mouse cam?
How do you have that snowy background on your desktop?
whats the monitor models?
Where is your affiliate link so I can purchase it and have you get the credit? I don't see it.
Will you please do another cool tech under 50 but about gaming?
I love these lights it looks like something I could use on my RUclips stream how much are they by the way in in British pounds
Roughly 153 pounds sterling
Looks great! Light quality looks good, app feature is unique, but damn $200 is way too expensive for me. It would be nice if it was $99 per light and mount and than maybe it would be in my budget. lol
Maybe if there was RGB lights in there, it may be worth the 200 bucks but this is just way too much. I have 3 lights that are brighter and function pretty much the same around 100 bucks.
When I’m the first one to like a Nathaniel bandy comment for once
What lights do you use?
@@everythingbenny apurture 100d is cheaper brighter and can be mounted with dome box
@@everythingbenny this elgati light brightness is only 2500 lumens
The apurture can go over 20k
@@MonicaHolly143 those 20k lumens are fake, ma'am, 20k lumens could leave you absolutely blind, easily.
200 for some LEDs is rather hard. It's right on the edge for me personally. If it was 200€ for RGBW, that would be a more fitting price.
Wow this is cool but I already have 2 giant box lights oh well
Hey Frank, Aesop Rock mentions two different SF establishments in his raps. Grubstake Diner and Bob's Donuts. I just want you to know I go to both frequently and they are excellent.
Do they sell fill and back lights?
I bought a small lamp from Target that cost me $14. You wouldn't even know the difference from this elgato light. Placement is everything. This one isn't bad if you are already making decent money from streaming, but if not there are thousands of other options at fractions of this cost.
Are there two or just one? Because 200$ for only one?
Anyone else having the issue where the elgato Control Center software used to control this light is taking up 1% of CPU at all times, just by sitting in the systems tray and doing nothing?
