Outstanding work. • Johnny Carson turns into a song sung by the Koopas in tribute to Bowser. • The ‘Woah!’ at the end of Good Time was a really nice touch. • Ding Dang was perfect • Solar System actually sounds like a space-themed Mario 64 level.
Hearing Airplane is kind of a "holy shit" kind of moment. Because it's insane to think that the nature of this song fits the Sound-font so naturally as to think it could've been something from the original game. Not to mention the rest of the album also works wonderfully but the second half more so than anything else, the more lush synth tracks just really lend towards this sound-font.
This is genuinely really well done- it's absolutely spot on, and feels like it captures the spirit of the album. Fuckin' love it. (and the 'woo!' sample in Ding Dang made me laugh out loud)
I'd like a video on the process making these- you're really selling yourself short by not mentioning the countless hours spent transcribing all of these songs. Fr, well done
good time, let's put our hearts together and i wanna pick you up almost sound like they could fit into earthbound... with roller skating, dingdang and honkin performed by the runaway 5 :)
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 😃absolutely love this !!! It all works so well and is an excellent version of Brian’s “marmite” masterpiece. ( it’s actually one of my favourite Beach Boy albums) Ps I love the powerful bass 👌🏻❤️
Not just another cheap cover - really well done!! There are a lot of tricky chord changes but you nailed them all! And love your choices of instruments. 👍🙏 So who is the artist here? 🤔🙄
This is great! Every song a gem in its own way. Some of these have me envisioning imaginary levels in Super Mario. I have some requests if you are open: Rock and Roll Music (single version) California Saga (single version) I feel like both of those would sound great in this style.
Do you still happen to have those midi files? I'm just so curious to look at them; I'm learning about music production in a highschool course of mine and I think this would be fun to study!
That’s sweet! Is it ok if I send the files all as defaulting to piano? I believe I’d have to specifically assign an instrument to all of the individual midi tracks otherwise, haha. Also, I did a lot of layering of sounds, so there will be many duplicates of parts. If you’re using logic, I can send the projects too.
@@BeatlesRanked Send whatever files work best for you! I've listened enough to Love You so many times that I shouldn't have an issue with that. I use Pro Tools, but I've never used Logic before even though we use Macs in class. So that one's up to you what you'd wanna send over, I could probably start to learn Logic too. Thank you in advance for all this, this is really cool!
Could I also see these files? I've been chopping at the bit looking for some Love You midi, this game I play has instruments you can pick up which play midi files. I LOOVE the way you did The Night Was So Young and Airplane! I don't know how you sent it to voltsu, but I can do with whatever form you can, if you please! @@BeatlesRanked
If you did just the backings, and placed the original vocals over the backings, it would work extremely well. They have a similar style to the original instruments, it's really cool!

Thanks Elliot!! I’m glad you like it. I love your channel!
I love how the internet music community has completely taken to this album in the past few months haha
Holy shit, it's Elliot Roberts.
The woah made me stop in my tracks to comment, so happy it was included
Wait that sounds supposed to be a koopa's voice?
This is what At My Piano should have been
Ok who went straight to Ding Dang
right here
Me, and it did not disappoint.
how did you know it was me
Me
Because Mama's Little baby loves shortnin bread.
goes unreasonably hard
The lack of Mario 64 instruments is definitely what kept it from hitting #1 on the charts
What's even funnier is how goddamned accurate these conversions are. They are perfect
the quiet chatter during the intro to Ding Dang is 10/10 attention to detail
Brian Wikson couldve been a composer for Nintendo video game music.
I knew I was in for a treat the second I heard the Thwomp sound in Let Us Go On This Way

Ding dang this is amazing.
If you could remix “Adult Child” with the soundfont that would be awesome.
I plan on it ☺️
@@BeatlesRankedThat’s outtasight!! Now how’s about Surf’s Up with the ALTTP soundfont 😂
Sorry for the wait 🥳ruclips.net/video/6WNlaKALPVU/видео.htmlsi=fnZ46FM9OO4re28Q
Not going to lie, I check my subs every time I go on RUclips to see if Adult/Child is ready yet. We anxiously await!

@BeatlesRanked the way my jaw just dropped when I got this notification. A good sign for 2025
That little high pitched synth melody in I bet he’s nice sounds so spot on
The best album and the best soundfont.
This album actually works really well with the 64 soundfont. Almost sounds made for it!
The translation is really natural.
best 64 soundfont usage i've ever heard
Mario's hoos in Ding Dang are a feat of genius
This is genuinely really well done- it's absolutely spot on, and feels like it captures the spirit of the album. Fuckin' love it.
(and the 'woo!' sample in Ding Dang made me laugh out loud)
Yes, even more Beach Boys Love You
I'd like a video on the process making these- you're really selling yourself short by not mentioning the countless hours spent transcribing all of these songs.
Fr, well done
The Mario woo in ding dang is sooo good
somehow improved a masterpiece. phenomenal job.
thank you youtube algorithm for showing me this
This is not something I thought wanted, but now has turned into something I need.
Wow! I loved this. I could a lot of these in an actual game, especially Ding Dang and Solar System.
i can't stop listening to this. send help
I'll Bet He's Nice sounds so gooooood
THE BEACH BOYS LOVE YOU!
Please tell me you're doing Adult Child next, this is soooo great!!!
I’ve never been so happy to see a RUclips recommendation, this video feels like it was made specifically for me lol
i'm in the exact niche demography for this
This version of Good Time is awesome!
Ding Dang goes so hard. Got stuck in my head today (specifically the sm64 version)
Never thought I'd see this album with this treatment, thank you for sharing! And that cover art is phenominal!
This could 100% be in a mario game, it fits so well melodically.
This is brilliant and beautiful
Might be the only album where this is appropriate to do.
good time, let's put our hearts together and i wanna pick you up almost sound like they could fit into earthbound... with roller skating, dingdang and honkin performed by the runaway 5 :)
This works so well lol
Johnny Carson is so badass
Brian agrees
This is always been one of my favorite albums and now you really made this to be a really fun version of one of my favorite albums
That loud bg synth in I'll Bet He's Nice literally sounds identical. How.
Can’t believe this is real
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 😃absolutely love this !!! It all works so well and is an excellent version of Brian’s “marmite” masterpiece. ( it’s actually one of my favourite Beach Boy albums) Ps I love the powerful bass 👌🏻❤️
It's really cool that you made your own MIDIs! It ended up being really cool!
I’m blown away
I had no idea such beauty could be created by man

I love this!!
this works so well
Wow this feels incredibly specific. Nice work though.
Quite masterful
the stars need to align to let an SM64 soundfont cover of the 1985 album happen
It'll probably sound better than the real one
this is so awesome
Loving this ❤
i need this on spotify so bad😭
Marvellous
albus loves this

Bro this is fire
Someone show this to Brian
oh epic
Sounds nearly identical
somehow gets closer to the spirit of Love You than the real thing...
Very well put together!

Can you do this but for the M.I.U Album? I think some of the songs would sound great with the sm64 sound font!
I’m planning on doing Adult/Child, which has some of the songs!
"Hey Little Tomboy" would be heavily improved without Lyrics.
@@BeatlesRankedit only has Hey Little Tomboy 😭
@@Angelvelatyahh yeah, you’re right!! For some reason I thought there were a couple more :/

Why did you choose this record? Because of it's heavy synth-use?
Because Brian Wilson loves you.
