I feel like the Arms universe is going to be better implemented in Smash Bros than withen it's own game. A lot of people seem to actually like the characters, lore and music, but the gameplay dragged it down. In Smash you'll get the things people liked about the game ontop of it being a far better fighting game.

That's why I welcome Arms in Smash. The characters could use a second chance. Heck, in a very roundabout way, I almost feel like Smash could be Arms' new home if a sequel is never to happen.
The ARMS Community says “Hello!”
As someone who’s logged more than 1,500 Hours in ARMS (I make ARMS Tech Videos, So I Lab), I obviously can’t say that I agree. But still very much respect your opinion.
I think a lot of new people think a similar way about a “Defensive” play-style. However, I personally play more aggressive. Always Punching. I do so, because I know a few little tricks, mainly Camera Realignment, Insta-Countering (Guard-Canceling), and using my Arms offensively instead (Knocking down my opponent’s Arms with my own). This is the answer to “why would you even throw your Arms out at all?” To make openings for yourself. There’s a lot more that can answer that question, but I won’t say for now.
Like a lot of Fighting Games (especially the smaller-scale ones), ARMS can be a niche game. Some can play it just fine, and have fun with it, especially with the Motion Controls in a more casual environment, but others can really become addicted, and want to master their technique, timing, and knowledge of the game.
From a casual perspective, ARMS is sorta like Mario Kart, or Mario Tennis. It’s a simple game, with a straight-forward concept, that can be fun to bust out at a gathering. I think that’s more of what they were going for (especially since ARMS was made by the Mario Kart Devs).
A group called CasualARMS hosts online community events for ARMS every week to this day, which I occasionally participate in. It’s really fun!

I enjoy hearing what you had to say. I'm not sure how I feel about Arms gameplay wise, but it's great to hear that there's those out there who find it deeper than most.

Yea i tried out that free trial it seemed fun at first but i got real burned out on it real quick
As someone who bought ARMS a few days after its release and followed it up until updates ended it was really disappointing at times. For whatever reason Ribbon Girl is allowed to have 4 jumps giving her a longer air time than any of the other air characters and it's hard to punish her because she has a special ability that lets her get to the ground super fast.
Plus a lot of character additions were super lame too. Max Brass's two abilities are literally just copied from Springman and Master Mummy and Springtron was ANOTHER Springman clone so even though we technically got 5 free new characters it really only felt like we got 3.

I bought arms on day 1 & played it recently during the party mode. I feel like Arms is an hour time killer for those who don't have much to play. It's fun for a bit, it's not stressful (you never have to worry about losing many games in a row), and there's a good variety of fighting matches. This is only party mode.. I can't speak for ranked as I'm not a try hard.

Arms is a dumb fun wii game. It feels like something I’d play on my wii, which takes me back, but is not a good “fighting” game if that makes sense. It’s more dumb fun imo because there’s not a ton you can do with the mechanics like you can in most fighting games. While not a great fighter, it’s still fun and at the end of the day that’s what matters, especially in a Nintendo game.
Alright people I’m taking bets, who do you think the ARMS rep will be? My bet is Helix or Dr. Coyle.
