What do you all think of this style of video? New addition to the channel for 2021!
love them❤️❤️❤️❤️
I like it
I love it, these videos may not preform as well as others because people like drama/trauma, but we need this.
Love ALL of it
Looking forward to videos like this! I'm interested in seeing the mechanics of athletes from a variety of sports
Who knew Dr. Sutterer was also a QB coach
Why’s he gotta be good at everything. Leave something for the rest of us damn
colts should sign him
When you look at pitching you will want to breakdown the pitching motion of Nolan Ryan. Clean. It helped lengthen his career by many years. A generation of Texas youth baseball pitchers grew up mimicking it.
FACTS. u speaking the truth
yooo I would love to watch one of these on Pitching
You wanna see biomechanics of pitching then look at Brent Pourciau of TopVelocity. He knows what he is talking about when it comes to biomechanics
Nolan Ryan. 👏👏👏
Man Texas and my team (jays) have a history, but dude my god, what a pitcher.
you are the single best. i swear u have made me fall in love with this side of sports
Kinda gay but all good
not in love with him, with the biomechanics of throwing lol
Taking Biomechanics this semester and this series could not be a more perfect addition to it, thank you
Can you do a biomechanics video on steph curry’s shot?
Yes. What he said!
Yes! Or maybe breaking down the mechanics of great shooters like reggie, ray allen, steph, klay
Maybe we could get a video on what happens to the body when weight cutting for the UFC?
Good idea
Yessss!!!!!!
Loved it, would love to see a SOCCER kick vreakdown
CR7 knuckleball free kick maybe?
Next video on Michael Phelps?? On how he’s basically a fricking fish.
YES!!! As a triathlete, I absolutely admire pure swimmers and their insane athleticism.
Ha, yes he is.
In fact, it may be cheesy, but I'd like to see it compared to a dolphin or something
And then on Mia Khalifa
Would be interesting to see the breakdown of an unorthodox throwing motion in a QB like Philip Rivers. Keep up the great work!
I love these type of videos! Biomechanics was the sole reason why I decided to pursue a career in medicine. What started off as a way to get more spins while breakdancing in high school, I now want to concentrate my career on biomechanics
Love it Love it Love it. More please! Thanks.
Bring more, I loved how you explain the biomechanics behind such a specific move
Awesome!!! Do Zion Jumping, Steph for threeeeee, Bolt running...wish I had this when I was 16yo🤣
I love this type of video. As a young strength coach, your previous videos are still very valuable to learn, but I definitely prefer this type of video.
Would love to see video in regards to pitching and different pitches. That would be educational.
Great stuff. I'm all for more biomechanics vids!
Andre Luck back there, never looked better he should come outta retirement. 🤣😂
Excellent biomedical analysis. The eccentric role of the RTC is huge. Particularly during the follow through. Your overall content is awesome and this type of video is great. One idea could be to do a f/u video on profalactic concentric and eccentric RTC training. Thanks again for your videos!
Absolutely loved this video. Would you consider doing a similar biomechanics breakdown for roundhouse kicks, straight punches and hook punches at some point in the future?
Please more of these!! With all types of sports!! (especially NBA high flyers, the biomechanics of slam dunk contest winners. A lot of people don't realize how hard those are to pull off bc the players make it look so damn easy)
YESS 👏🏼
As an aspiring physical sports therapist and sports nut, this is the content I live for
I love this!! Keep the biomechanics coming! Especially mma
Love this new section. Could you do something about swimming?
Amazing! Like the details you give. Do do more of these phases breakdown
Love this!!!! Maybe you could do a Rafa Nadal forehand next? Or a Rory Mcilroy swing? Great content, Doc!!
I love this!!!!!!! Can you maybe do Ovi’s shot from his office on the ice?
As someone who has horrible biomechanics in a lot of situations, this is awesome, and will definitely be of use to me. I think this will be my new favorite series that you do
So resourceful and interesting ! Amazing stuff ! Keep it up ! As a suggestion you can do Federer’s serve next
This is so cool. Helps me study somewhat since I'm a Hospital corpsman in the Navy.🤘🏽👍🏽
This was great! As a biomedical engineer and a sports fan, this content is extremely interesting! 👍
Beat you to that Dr. already knew about good mechanics for a while now
Love these videos. Definitely do more of these. Same amount of learning and less cringe inducing injuries and inspires me to go throw a football like the goat. Would love to see weightlifting videos or even swimming
ngl doc, but this is crazy interesting content. More, please.
I always sucked at throwing a good spiral. Thanks for helping and thank you for building on your content. Looking forward to your MMA material and breakdowns. You're like sports science 2.0
that was awesome! :) The disc golf community has been trying to do these types of breakdowns because there isn't a lot of formal coaching to learn the mechanics. Would love to hear any thoughts on Paige Pierce or Eagle McMahon. Both really refined throwers :) FYI - there's a bunch of footage on both of them. Really enjoy your content. Thanks.
The anatomy of muscles when athletes do a spin move , or the spring like natures of our legs when athletes jump far into the endzone..
The way some modern golf instructors teach is from a bio mechanical perspective. They talk about the torque and turning of both the hips and the shoulders. In fact, they focus on what they call the X factor - the difference between how much the shoulders rotate vs. how much the hips rotate. Really amazing stuff.
love the addition to the channel!
I would enjoy watching the body reactions in a short clip of a fight (say MMA or boxing), where you break down how the body absorbs the hits/grappling forces in addition to applying them. Get to see the to-and-fro of combat, both defensive and offensive moves.
Absolutely loved this
Big Fan of yours for a while. Love the new style and concept, it's so open for many avenues. Not sure if you've ever seen Devon Larratt's arm wrestling workout, but that could be fun to break down.
Hey Doc, loving these kinds of videos! You should def analyze the biomechanics of some iconic basketball player's jumpshots. Maybe MJ's fadeaway, Kareem's hook or something like that. Emphasis on MJ's fadeaway..
Dr. Brian "Im really a QB coach" sutterer
I would love to see a biomechanics video on a lacrosse shot. Extremely underrated sport media wise, I’d love to see the sport get some attention and I am interested in the specifics especially with varying factors like stick length/flexibility, shooting on the run, shooting standing still, etc.
Love it! Would be especially amazing to see this sort of analysis for some of the movements in combat sports.
Could you a video like this for bowling? I ask this as someone who actively competes in that sport.
Anyone else massaging their own shoulders and back trying to find the different muscle groups mentioned?
Thanks for this because I always sucked at throwing a football
Denim shirt huh? What's next a T-shirt Doc? I can't take you seriously anymore. 😏jk Love your videos keep up the various breakdowns
I don't even watch football, but I still watched and learned from this
Love this kind of video, keep it coming!
Biomechanics is really cool, keep doing these vids. Maybe Steph Curry's Shooting next?
Hey Brian, thanks for the great work and info!! I’ve looked through your past videos and didn’t find anything on Ronnie Coleman. If there is please advise me. If you don’t, please make one lol
Looking forward to more videos like this
I loved this video. More videos like this please. Steph curry’s silky jumper next?👀
Would really appreciate a video on Paul George’s bone edema in his toe as i’m sure many fantasy managers want to know what’s the deal with his prognosis! Thanks!
I like how you change the jerseys on the guy in the back
Hey! I love your videos. Sadly, portuguese media don't go deep on injuries so I'd love if you could make a video on Nanu's head injury on the game Belenenses vs FC Porto (portuguese league) on Feb 4th 2021. I already requested this on another video, I'd really love if you did it. Amazing work as always!
This was a great video.
The USA lags behind European Javelin Throwers. I am interested in the biomechanics of world class javelin throwers, particularly the stretch reflex from the plant leg hip thru the torso and throwing arm. Also, the actual biomechanical release of the javelin by the fingers (arm and wrist action). I enjoyed your style of video!
You science the hell out of the GOAT. Could you do a segment on the worst throwing mechanics in NFL? I think that belongs to Phillip Rivers 😂.
Love anatomy. More like this please.
More detail would be great.
You should do a baseball throw next! Nice video
Hi Dr. Sutterer! I find your videos incredibly interesting and I wanted to know if you could add subtitles to your video so that viewers can better absorb the videos information?
More of these please!
Very lnteresting
Thank you
love this new type of video!!!
you should do a video on the biomechanics of a volleyball jump serve or hit/spike.
It’s crazy how much solid mechanics plays in throwing a football I used to think you had be big and strong to throw hard but that’s not the case
I would like to see similar videos for a baseball pitcher, a fastpitch softball pitcher & a hockey slapshot please.
Love these!
You should do this type of video about a golf swing!
Hey Doc would you mind making a video of FC Barcelona’s Ansu Fati failed knee surgeries?...he’s a bright young talent and i have trouble understanding how he keeps having trouble recovering from his knee surgeries
Yes! This is why I want to see!
Dr. Sutterer, may I have a prognosis on Tim Tebow?
Tiger woods golf swing would also be really cool to see
Yes yes yes!!!! Love this idea for videos
Great vid
great vid!!!
I‘d love to see a similar video on Michael Vick‘s technique. That always mystified me! 👍🏻
As a QB, god bless this channel
His left arm is the magic in the throw. It's how he gets so much torque and accuracy .
Can you do a bio-mechanic breakdown of hyper-athletic guys and talk about why they're so much more explosive etc. I'd love to hear about Derrick Rose and his ACL tears. Me and my friends growing up always use to say he was gifted with being more "snappy/explosive" than humans were meant to be and his ligaments couldn't handle the load he was driving into the ground to be as athletic as he was. He literally always looked like he was playing on 1.25x speed and everyone else was on 0.5x
You can complement this video with the adjustments Tom make in the series Tom vs Time with the throwing coach, focus un the hip movement and mechanics
TB12 to colts confirmed by Dr Sutterer LOL
Very interested in more biomechanics content. I would suggest that you increase the size of your cursor. It’s hard for me to know where you’re pointing at times.
You should do pro golfer mechanics
A video on how pitchers are able to throw 100mph + fastballs would be great!
Hi! I enjoyed this kind of video very much! Can you do one for Steph Curry’s shooting?
Very identical to real volleyball spiking. Amazing how many muscles are involved and have to be strong to pull this off.
Could you analyze Uncle Rico's throwing technique? Back in '82, he used to be able to throw a pigskin a quarter mile.
Can you do the mechanics of a punt? I have wondered the difference between a punt/ field goal😃
Great analysis Dr. Sutterer!
Btw, any fellow face-pull enthusiasts here? :D
Please do the biomechanics of an elite edge rusher bending the corner around a tackle!!!
Can you do something like this with a golf swing? I think that would be very interesting
Love it! 🐐
Can you do a video on overeems broken nose? Explain how difficult it would be to recover from it during fight.
As a kinesiology student I’d like to thank you
I had a chance to intern at a facility where Patrick Mahomes trains in the summer and all of the science that goes into making these guys great is awesome
