He guys, are you guys still giving real one on one lessons? Would love to come around for a week and do some intensive training. Right now at HCP 9-11 , but struggling to get better at this point. Cheers Nicky
Hello guys, I am having the opposite problem 9 minutes into the video. Instead of my club face being open through the swing and creating a slice, it’s not getting square at my low point and ends up closing and creating a duck hook. Can we get a video on drills or lessons on keeping the club face square through the swing path?
I’ve seen my fair share of instructional golf videos on YT, and this is one of the best driving videos I’ve ever seen. Well done. Can’t wait to get back to the range and practice these techniques.
Great video guys. There is often a lot to digest in your videos but just as often there is one thing that just hits home and makes a world of difference. The bit early on about not leaning toward to the target and keeping your torso behind the ball is great. Often I set up with the ball inside left heal but get my upper body gets too far forward usually resulting in a pull draw. Just focusing on this one small thing turns that into a very nice little push draw. Thanks for all the help over the years!
It's something about the NBC colour quality... When the video started I thought it was Me and my Golf the computer game....only available on Playstation.
Christian Traynor probably has something to do with the slight production budget increase, a 15k camera is certainly going to produce a better product visually than a handheld point n shoot.
At 10:24 Andy's grip looks completely different, do you mind giving a brief explanation to why this would happen? I struggle with this as I am a right hander that golfs left handed. I find that my dominant right hand does a lot of manipulation of the face as a lead hand. I tried golfing right handed but that is a miserable fail.
Love your vids. My game has improved enough that other players have noticed. Note: i am 65 and never played before fall of 2019. (9 holes in low 50's. Room for more improvement.) But you rarely mention the club number you are using. Watching the chipping vid... i have a 9, Pitching, and one with an "A". Then you offer a free 2 wedge? Thank you for your tutelage, incredibly helpful. ALSO, Charlie Woods hit a 33 in 9 yesterday. Same course as adults? Thank You. Bart
How long have you been sitting on this footage? You're not wearing short sleeves on Toronto this time of year I can assure you of that! Lol great stuff as always.
But what if all my playing partners also watch this video? Will it create some infinite loop when we play, where we all hit it past each other and end up driving it infinity yards? Seriously though, awesome video as usual, thanks guys.
One of the benefits of only having access to budget driving ranges is that the balls are so bad that the cover of the ball leaves a residue on the club face. So no need to messy sprays or tape.
When was this filmed????? It's like a slap in the face!!!!! I heard Ladies Golf Club of Toronto in Canada... Upload date Feb 27th 2020... We just got 15 cm of snow last night!!!!! I'm so itching to start my golf season Great content though!!!
I’m not hitting it far 200-220 and I have a slight fade.. my bad shot is I hit the top of the face hitting under the ball. I have liked video and I’m going to train to hit the ball up with hips leading the way and head shoulders stay back a bit 👌🏻👍
After many years of fighting a slice I have finally beaten it, but now I often hit a draw/hook that can go too far left. Its better than the old slice but still not great. I'm not sure if the problem is my swing or the club-face at impact.
I need a swing analysis bad, I struggle mightily with consistency I can shoot 6-9 over on the front and then +20 on the back. I don’t know why I can’t seem to tame my game but I would love some help!
I'm the opposite usually do better as the round goes on, sounds like a bit of fatigue might be setting in by the back 9.I found Danny Maude's videos had some good stuff for producing a relaxed natural swing which could help feeling fresher towards the end of the round.
Would it not be easier to just use a higher lofted driver instead of hitting up on the ball? I don't know the numbers but it seems like it would be easier and achieve the same effect. Also with more loft, it seems it would help with hooks and slices.
Great video. You always have amazing content! You probably answered this 1k times.. What launch monitor are you guys typically using? Also, Looking for your opinions on the best monitor for under $1,000? Skycaddie, Flightscope, SwingCaddie, etc... what are your thoughts.
The lead knee allow for rotation which is key. The trail leg still remains very stable. That’s also an important factor. From our experience, it will help more than hurt.
@@meandmygolf. ah okay, is there a point you wouldn't go past with the lead knee of is it individual? I'd assume as you get closer to your body's midline that's where any trouble may begin to rear its head?
Hi I just have a quick question to ask you. When I finish my follow through I can't keep my balance and I fall forward (towards my toes). Do you know what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it? Thanks!
You guys make great videos but I think you missed maybe the single most important component to hitting a drive long, and that's lag. It's something I've been trying to work on a lot this winter. If you watch Andys' swing in slow-mo. His hands are already past the ball while his shaft to wrist angle is still 90 degrees. Then he uncorks those wrist and that gets the club head moving at its optimal speed. If you unhinge your wrist too early in the down swing like I do. You burn up all your club head speed before you hit the ball.
Hi Josh. Some hit up and some hit down. You can get away with it with higher speeds but for the average golfer wanting to hit it further. It’s better to hit on the way up.
@@jgw5371 Empirical data shows that the majority of tour pros hit down on the ball but slightly higher on the club face producing the correct launch conditions for them, but okay. I definitely think hitting slightly up for most golfers a good idea, but I think everyone's got a different way of producing similar results.
How can we help you with your driving? ⬇️Post your questions down below ⬇️
I am r/handed and hit a lot of my drives straight right, is this called blocking or pushing and what is the difference between the 2 shots?

is squaring the clubface more release-related or wrist angle related

Always so satisfying to See Andy swing a driver!
Very simple easy tips, most of which I have taken on board !

Thank you, from Hawaii! Just implemented some of your techniques and they work! Higher ball flight, longer distance and straighter shots.
Thanks Guys great drills for great drives - and delivered to be easily understood 🏌🏻♂️
Great video. Hopefully with some practice and maybe watching the video one or two times my swing will finally come together
You two guys are awesome!! Love your training plans, and on course tutorials. Keep them coming.
Best teachers out there. Thanks lads!
Andys swing is picture perfect and so effortless
I did something similar when I was coaching my buddy who just started. The pre-lean.
Pretty amazing production now! Congratulations! Awesome information!

What golf ball tracker is this? Where can one buy one?
Where do I place a 5-6 & 9 iron at set up?
Another great video lads, how do you know when you should use a lower degree driver ? is it possible to know without going for a fitting . Thanks
Thanks Jason. If your ball is spinning too much (climbing) with no run.

Trackman

Higher loft will increase the spin. Too much spin will reduce distance. Increasing the attack angle helps increase launch and reduce spin.
@@meandmygolf. Got it. Makes sense. You're hitting the ball at a different location than if striking level.

Doesn't the lead knee collapsing behind the golf ball that much lead to a less stable base and therefore less club speed and distance?

How to avoid a hook
You're either swinging to the right of your target or extending your swing early.
Check your grip and then club face in the back swing, it’s often there you will see the issue.
I mean, I'm not really sure what you mean when you say hit it up. Don't the majority of professionals hit slightly down on the ball with the driver?
No, the low point of the driver is before the golf ball. The low point with Irons is in front of the golf ball.
Hi Josh. Some hit up and some hit down. You can get away with it with higher speeds but for the average golfer wanting to hit it further. It’s better to hit on the way up.
