She is the only pianist I know who can play Eric Satie's music in the correct way. Absolutely amazing!
Alice plays Satie like noone I've ever heard. Its incredible, and so delicate
Can’t believe there’s a person coughing in this silence
Beautiful and to those who gave this a thumbs down there’s seriously something wrong with you!
She is a painter here, we must see through hearing. The choice of tempo for the first Gnossienne is entirely convincing; she gives the famed first Gymnopédie only the motion needed to unroll the canvas (or is it a scroll) of Satie's few but perfectly chosen notes; the pace she finds to unveil the tthird Gnossienne's poised sadness, shown in the brief ascents immediatedly countered by the same notes in mirrored descent, all makes a picture of a heroic twilight, a gentle but deeply felt farewell.
No one plays Satie like Sara. <3
this is the best version on YT , the tempo is just right
As I get older I listen to Satie to meditate when I make a wrong decision and calm myself so it doesn't happen again, it's so calm and beautiful just like the eye of a hurricane
I discovered Satie through Orson Welles in 1977. The Immortal Story is a poignant little movie that is like a fairy tale (with a bit of darkness, though). The soundtrack of Satie was the perfect cherry on the cake creating the right atmosphere: surreal, but intense. Since then I looked for a performance that could give back the feeling of the movie. Finally Alice came with this performance, slow, subtle, intriguing, intimate. Thanks Alice, all my gratitude. What a lovable pianist you are.
The way she plays is so elegant and it's just so beautifully haunting to listen to. An amazing performance of songs by an amazing composer.
This is the best interpretation of Satie's work I've ever heard
Her feel for this piece is mesmerizing
The slow and meditative pace is evocative. Like taking a stroll along Parisian streets being mesmerized and seized by deep thoughts.
So haunting, it takes your breath away. Stunningly beautiful.
So gentle and the same time so intense on those keys, Alice is the awesome
No piece of music has ever been played more beautifully, Just mesmerising.
Mani che producono suoni divini che fanno vibrare il cuore. Grazie Alice. La meraviglia ti possiede. La grazia e le emozioni che regali sono incommensurabili.
The delicacy with which it touches the first low G in Gimnopédies ..... enchanting ....
