Both Ozzy and Sharon have a long history of treating people appallingly. Without Randy Ozzy wouldn't have been able to reinvent himself as a solo artist, yet when he told Ozzy he wanted ti leave the band Ozzy punched him in the face! Jake E Lee had his music for the Bask At The Moon album stolen by the Osbournes, waiting until he finished recording all his parts and then being forced to sign a contract that stipulates that Ozzy wrote everything on the album (even though Ozzy doesn't write music and Geezer wrote the Sabbath lyrics and Bob Daisly wrote the vast majority on Bark At The Moon). Why would be unpopular? I’m a huge metal head, but don’t really listen to sabbath or maiden. I greatly appreciate all they’ve done, I just love Priest of the big metal bands.

One would have been drummer Dave Potts- who spent a week with the band (by his own recollection).Potts said in an interview that he rehearsed with Ozzy, Daisley and Rhoads for 3 minutes and Ozzy gave him the job. He claims over the next week they hardly rehearsed other than that one day and got drunk instead. Potts served a brief stint in Praying Mantis before they broke up (the first time)- that band at various times featured 3 ex Iron Maiden members (Paul Di'anno, Dennis Stratton and Clive Burr).
@@steelandtree3133 ☑️ ^Exactly! This video is a puff piece. Most of Black Sabbath's songs were written by Geezer and Sabbath members other than Ozzy. Most of Ozzy's best known solo songs were also written by other band members, like Bob Daisley, not Ozzy. But that didn't stop Ozzy(and Sharon) from STEALING all songwriting credits, royalties and publishing and claiming that Ozzy did it all! Then Ozzy quickly fired drummer Lee Kerslake, because Sharon thought he was "too old", even though he was Ozzy's age, and didn't look any older than Ozzy. Randy was thinking of eventually leaving Ozzy's band after their 2nd album. He mentioned to Ozzy that he would eventually like to leave to play different music, and Ozzy's response was to punch him in the face! When Randy died, Ozzy and Sharon quickly removed his name from song credits, so they could avoid paying any songwriting $$ to Randy's estate! They'd only been paying Randy a salary of $200 a week in the early 80s! So Randy's mom spent the rest of the 80s suing Ozzy and Sharon for what he was owed! Bob Daisley spent a LONG time suing them, trying to get the money and credits they owed him, but they kept finding new ways of screwing him over! Then they re-recorded the first 2 albums in the early 2000's, removing Lee and Bob's drumming and bass altogether, to avoid paying Bob anything! Truth is, when you listen to Ozzy singing, it's obvious that he's been the weakest link in every band he's ever been a part of.
The guys who were interviewed for the video all have a vested interest in getting paid by Ozzy - Jake E Lee (and the other guys who Ozzy *didn't* pay) doesn't.
1:48 Black Sabbath -"Were destined to change the face of heavy metal together". That doesn't make sense, they didn't change heavy metal they invented it.
What....no Jake E. Lee opinion? Hmmm, quite interesting considering letting Jake go was one of the biggest mistakes in Ozzy's career. Guess screwing Jake out of his Bark at the Moon writer credits and subsequent royalties might not lend to as glowing a review as some of these other musicians....just sayin.
No- Rudy Sarzo toured with the band before (wisely) getting off the "Crazy Train" and rejoining Quiet Riot in 1982. Sharon (so Ozzy says) got Trujillo and a drummer to re-record Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake's parts on the first couple albums in the early 2000's due to ongoing lawsuits over song royalties.
@@krupkamusic well one of my favorite songs of his is Paronoid if that tells you a anything.....🐙 Let's just hope for the best. I love my Rock n Rollers! 🙊🎆💯
No mention of Lee Kerslake. I bet this script was given the once over by Sharon. RIP Lee. We had the best of times touring together with Heep......from your "little sis". 🙂
This is pretty skewed towards making the Osbournes look good. Read Rudy's book or anything Bob Daisley, Lee Kerslake or Jake E Lee have said in interviews in the last 20 years and it's a different tale. Read interviews from Zakk Wylde in 2009/10. Rudy claims Ozzy punched him not once-but twice- once when he informed Ozzy Randy Rhoads intended to leave and another time when he was in Quiet Riot and he encountered a drunken Ozzy in a hotel lobby in Michigan during a festival in 1984- That was (allegedly) because Ozzy was still unhappy with his departure plus Quiet Riot frontman Kevin DuBrow had made some disparaging remarks about Ozzy in the music press.
@@eugenemclemmont4045 Yeah, I know Bordin well, at the start of the video he says Brodin and I thought he was talking about someone else I'd never heard of.
I have seen the Ozz around 6 times as a yout. Understanding the music industry a tad better as an adult now, I will say his wife has him whipped and he is incapable of allowing those musicians who keep him notable to profit off their contribution. They Ozz and Sharon are selfish leaches that live off creativity of others when enough is made for all to benefit.
This video was way too kind towards Ozzy. I’ve heard a number of interviews from band mates in the 1980s who claim that they wrote a majority of his material while he was drunk, only to be fired by him and he took credit for writing everything.
You mean the guy who claims credit for writing songs that he stole off other artists? Who doesn't give credit to those people who have helped him along the way? To be fair, his wife should take at least half the blame. I can't really understand the idol worship he receives in the US. He certainly doesn't deserve it.
With every pre-release, I think: "This should be his last". After listening, I think "I think he has more", theN after "Ordinary Man", I think, "I think he has one more". After Patient Number 9, I'm thinking, "Could he possibly do one more??".
Tony Iommi created Ozzy. Ozzy wanted his own Black Sabbath and recreated his version 2.0. Its the same style, same genre, people like to separate the two all the time. 🎸. I've been playing their music for 30 years.
@@swampcrypt It was the perfect combination. Ozzy went on to recreate Ozzy/Sabbath 2.0. Just like Dio is another Sabbath extension when he wrote Holy Diver for Sabbath.
What a farce: You didnt speak to Jake E Lee????? Remember him, he was the guitarist on the ONLY #1 Single Ozzy ever had ("Shot in the Dark".). And no mention of Lee Kersalake?????????????? And others, too.
This sounds like a public relations promo for Ozzy, since there's no balanced assessment. It should have included talk about Ozzy and Sharon calling and pretending to cancel gigs when Dio replaced Ozzy, failing to provide attribution as Wylde has said over the years, Sharon having people egg Iron Maiden, and many other antisocial acts by those pieces of work, as well as Ozzy being a flake on the last few black sabbath albums, all of which is public knowledge.
Yeah...no mention of his punching/assaulting former members (Sarzo, Costa and Rhoads) and/or Rhoads intention to leave when his contract was up after becoming frustrated with Ozzy's erratic behavior. Ozzy fired the whole band in a drunken rage in 1981 and then claimed he forgot about it when he sobered up a couple days later. Zakk Wylde was singing a different tune back in 2009ish when he found out Ozzy planned on replacing him via the media.
This is all old hat and what everyone says to the public. IT's what isn't said that's important. RJD kept out of the hall because of Ozzy or songwriting credits for songs he has nothing to do with, up to a new album where no one was ever in the same studio and its suspect that he actually even sings on it.
I love all but the last 2 original Ozzy era Sabbath albums, and think his first two solo albums were great, but he hasn't really done anything essential since. I think in the final analysis he's extremely overrated.
Behind every great man is a strong woman. If it weren't for Ozzys wife, there would never have been an Oz fest. Ozzy was turned down for a spot at lollapalooza...his wife said FK them we will do our own festival. Thats just one example of the impact Ozzys wife made on his life. Ozzy is a rock GOD. His wife is a GODESS.

@@hellboundrubber4448 Yes when you speak 4 languages, things like that happen.
@@hellboundrubber4448 Actually you did not get that comment well,
I said we care about music only.
The he said, she said and the truth part, you never heard about that expression before?
When drama is involved there always 3 sides of a story,he said,,she said,,and the truth!.
Though just putting out the way I did was enough to be understood, you did not.
Ozzy Rules! 🤘👿🤘
Who were the two musicians that were fired?
Loved what Jake.E.Lee had to say.
I will be unpopularly honest and say that only one Sabbath song with Ozzy is on my playlists. That song is Air Dance from Never Say Die. It's just beautiful.
I wouldn't see him live, but it would be great to sit down and talk with him for a while.
Best Black Sabbath album and last with Ozzy.
Why would be unpopular? I’m a huge metal head, but don’t really listen to sabbath or maiden. I greatly appreciate all they’ve done, I just love Priest of the big metal bands.
This is their worst album. I like Never say die, but children of the grave, war Pigs, symptom of the Universe, You won't change me, Theres too many to name. 🎸
I think Planet Caravan is one of my favorites. I don't listen to a great deal of sabbath though.
I do love Ozzie ....especially Black Sabbath.
You spelled his name wrong his name is spelled Ozzy his name is not spelled ozzie
Bob Daisley, Lee Kerslake? How about the band known as "The Blizzard of Oz" ?
Robbed those 2 men Sharon is greedy her pet dog Ozzie is like a performing bear that comes out to entertain to keep the cash rolling in and the whole shit show trying to stay relevant…you cannot take it with you … even interfered with black sabbath and wouldn’t let a dying dio or Tony iommi use the sabbath name and had to change the name to heaven and hell….
Love the OZZMAN!! \,,/
So who were the other members that Daisley asked Ozzy to get rid of?
One would have been drummer Dave Potts- who spent a week with the band (by his own recollection).Potts said in an interview that he rehearsed with Ozzy, Daisley and Rhoads for 3 minutes and Ozzy gave him the job. He claims over the next week they hardly rehearsed other than that one day and got drunk instead. Potts served a brief stint in Praying Mantis before they broke up (the first time)- that band at various times featured 3 ex Iron Maiden members (Paul Di'anno, Dennis Stratton and Clive Burr).
So, what about Jake E. Lee.. Ozzy's best guitarist goes unmentioned once again.
Because they don't want people to know the truth. Might make Ozzy and Sharon look bad.
@@steelandtree3133
☑️ ^Exactly!
Jake E. Lee deserves to be a household name.
I also liked John Holmes
Ozzy...nuff said .😱
I LOVE ZAKK WILDE
Ozzy doesn't take care of the people that MADE him Ozzy. People got screwed big time.
🥱🥱🥱
Bill Ward also once said Ozzy could've been a comedian.
its Mike Bordin not Brodin. such a legend you should correct it!!!
Third damn word, too. Maybe hire a narrator who's not dyslexic, and a few bucks for some QC wouldn't hurt.
They really should fix it.
FNM ftw!
🤘
@@MrRezRising i'd go even further than say dyslexic because he actually voiced it that way! what a fool Bordin is a legend!
1:48 Black Sabbath -"Were destined to change the face of heavy metal together". That doesn't make sense, they didn't change heavy metal they invented it.
*_SHARON!!_*
Correction at 1:43 Black Sabbath didn't "change" Heavy Metal they started it.
- Channel should probably stick to Grunge
Who was the 2 guys that he send them pack...Jake and tommy???....best guitarist and drummer he had🤔...
I did like JEL's guitar work and he should have been given voice in this vid.
I think you mistakenly accredited Robert for rerecording blizzard&diary. That was Rudy Sarzo.
Bill Ward, John (ozzy)
You let us down,
I got a vibe on him. I worry hope he's doing o.k. love his stuff ❤👣
Please elaborate!
How can Rudy Sarzo not even be mentioned here? Or Jake E Lee???
What, no inspired or positive words from Jake or Tommy or Rudy??
No mention of Jake E. Lee....Hmm.
The metal god is Halford, get your shit correct.
Ozzy is the prince of darkness.
Ozzy rules 🤘🤘
Jake E Lee?
Exactly what about Jake e lee?
No Jake?
Hilarious topic
How can you have a video entitled " What all Of Ozzy Osbourne's Former bandmates Have to say About Him' and not have Rudy Sarzo or Jake e Lee??????
Its Mike Bordin, not Mike Brodin 🤣
“Change the face of heavy metal” lmao you meant to say invented heavy metal together.
its Bordin.... not Brodin lol
Fun Fact...... ""Prince of darkness,"" my ass. Alice Cooper was calling himself that before Ozzy was even known of.
Mike BORDIN not Bodrin lol
Not surprised Jake Lee isn't on here. He doesn't have any thing good to say.
Aw, c'mon Grunge. Your narrator flubbed the third word of the script.
It's 'Bordin', not 'Brodin'.
🤘🤘🤘
Let's not forget about Justin Bieber's guitarist that played for Ozzy on his last recent album 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who is Mike Brodin?
I believe he was the drummer in Suicidal Tendencies?🤔
He drummed for Ozzy for years after that.
Bordin, Faith No More drummer. Dreadlocks and left handed playing a right handed kit.
@@eugenemclemmont4045 Right! Not Suicidal Tendencies Thank you!
Mike BOR-din. Not Brodin. Bruh
This video was way too kind towards Ozzy. I’ve heard a number of interviews from band mates in the 1980s who claim that they wrote a majority of his material while he was drunk, only to be fired by him and he took credit for writing everything.
Wealth of the wicked is layed up for me they shall gather it up but I shall put it on .
Although I am a Black Sabbath fan Ozzie is no icon of mine who calls himself the prince of darkness. I want no part of evil.
You mean the guy who claims credit for writing songs that he stole off other artists? Who doesn't give credit to those people who have helped him along the way? To be fair, his wife should take at least half the blame. I can't really understand the idol worship he receives in the US. He certainly doesn't deserve it.
Can we get off Ozzy's knob now and interview all the people he and Sharon have screwed over?
Ozzy Osbourne is the Jon "Bowzer" Bauman of heavy metal.
With every pre-release, I think: "This should be his last". After listening, I think "I think he has more", theN after "Ordinary Man", I think, "I think he has one more". After Patient Number 9, I'm thinking, "Could he possibly do one more??".
This Video does NOT justify the contributions RR made to R&R nor Ozzy's career even Ozzy will defend what RR did for him and music as a whole
Change the face of heavy metal? No. They invented heavy metal.
They created Metal!!! 🎸
I'm shocked Dio is not on this list
Dio was the guy Ozzy heard and saw when he pictured himself
Ozzy got a lot of other musicians exposure. He became bigger after leaving Black Sabbath. He became popular on TV as well. Who would have figured.
sooo nice of you Hopfully you will enjoy my videos too
Bob and jake🤔
This is all old hat and what everyone says to the public. IT's what isn't said that's important. RJD kept out of the hall because of Ozzy or songwriting credits for songs he has nothing to do with, up to a new album where no one was ever in the same studio and its suspect that he actually even sings on it.
lame for leaving out randy castillo
Why when someone does a documentary on this guy, they say HIS songs? He's can't write songs.
I love all but the last 2 original Ozzy era Sabbath albums, and think his first two solo albums were great, but he hasn't really done anything essential since.
I think in the final analysis he's extremely overrated.
no jake e lee
Black Sabbath was SO MUCH BETTER with Bill Ward. I've seen them with Ward and with other guy.
Not even close.
