Hey, thanks for the mention. I was wondering where that PRX box car had got to 😅. Layouts looking good, I look forward to "helping out" where I can in the coming year.
ian... looks fantastic !!! i noted you said sometimes you just like to fire them up and just listen to them run.... AIN'T IT THE TRUTH!!! i am at the same stage of layout development as you, and sometimes 3 or 4 ales and a visit upstairs to the layout room really kick it !!! i just love your small load/unload facility at 13:43.... basic but very nice !! merry christmas to you, ian !!!
It’s something I’ve tried to achieve over time - the only garish items are the cheap pre-made trees but eventually they’ll be replaced or obscured by home-made items.
Very nice work- the completed scenes look terrific, and set a high bar for the rest of the layout. I appreciate the transitions from layout to backdrop- good use of texture and color to create a realistic blend to the flat backdrop. Nice job picking the backdrop photos too- they work well!
Excellent overview of your RR and 2024 progress…I remember your burn out car from a few months ago…you have some nicely detailed scenes…looking forward to your 2025 progress…
@ianroberts6929 Yup, I did! I like how you split it up at an angle like that. I was actually thinking about producing a kit at an angle, but decided to keep all kits "full" and leave it up to the modeler to decide. Looks like you're the first to do it!
Unfortunately not, I’d have to take a helix or a slope outside the garage to achieve that 😂 but I’m looking at maybe moving the layout to a larger space in the house and then they’d be connected in a “nolix” arrangement.
It's always good to see a Belle in the consist😊.
They are very distinctive for sure!

As a semi regular viewer of 7idea videos, I really got a kick out of the intro. Awesome! "Noidea Productions" LOL
Glad you enjoyed it, I had fun making it and I might do a full documentary one day. Thanks for watching!

Might add, too, I like the 'color' of your layout. Everything just blends together so nicely.

Great opening and excellent video. Lots of progress and it looks great! Well done
Thanks Syl, hope you get some quality time on your layout over Christmas!
Nice layout! Are the 2nd and 3rd levels connected?
